My back slammed into the heavy, wooden door as I was pinned to the boards. Warm and commanding lips molding to my mine, dominating and sensual. His body pressed firmly into mine, caging me against the door frame.
‘This is wrong…’
My hands fisted into his hair and the fur of his lapel, pulling him closer, desperate to be nearer. I felt the vibrations against my lips as he let out a soft chuckle, his tongue coming to press against the seam of my lips, demanding entrance. Not willing to give in, I gave a small nip against his skin and felt his hands tighten on my hips. He pulled back slightly, lips ghosting over mine as he tutted.
“Now now, hero,” His golden eyes opened to bore in mine, a lazy smirk on his face. “We are jumping ahead of ourselves, wouldn't you agree?”
He tugged me flush to him and I felt my breath still, my heartbeat at a breakneck speed in my chest. Even through his regal garb, I felt every firm ridge of the muscles that lay underneath, felt the bulge of his desire as he ground my hips against his. His eyes, twins suns I could bathe in forever, captivating me and clouding my senses.
‘He's an Ascian, our enemy…’
His hand tangles harshly into my hair, tilting my face up as his lips hungrily descend upon mine once again, tongue forcing its way into my mouth and truly dominating every aspect of the kiss. And I relish in it. Drown in it. My hands clinging on to him as if he is the sole lifeline in a tumultuous sea. I feel his hand travel down, igniting my skin in its wake, tugging me along, urging me to follow and I helplessly obey.
‘If anyone finds out about this…’
I push the logical warning away. Within the solitude of my room within the Pendants, no one would know. Light and dark blending together in a sensuous dance as old as time itself. And I craved it. I craved him…
