A new season has begun, with the combatants being sent to duke it out in a mall! The good news is that they don't have to deal with zombies. The Silverscale Lounge Arena

Ep. 37: April 2024

Hosted by Baskerra “Lounge Bitch” Hellmane

All in favor of our Lounge’s Founders

Part 1: The Infinite Mall

(From the outside, the Arena seems to be taking place inside of an ordinary mall. It’s a very large mall, as it’s slightly bigger than an IKEA building, but nothing seems to be unusual about it…at first.

Turns out, the whole mall is MUCH bigger on the inside. It almost looks like it goes on forever. There are only three floors, though. Across these floors, there are a multitude of stores, several theaters, a cafeteria, and it just keeps looping for what seems to be an eternity. There’s also the symbol of a black top hat that keeps appearing all over the screens, all advertising the dreaded Black Hat Organization.

Indeed, the retired supervillain, Black Hat, is behind this Arena, wanting to amuse himself (and maybe gain some customers along the way) by advertising this Infinite Mall to show that it can break even the toughest of souls. His expectations are high, as he wants to witness true suffering.

Right now, the 48 combatants are trapped in large boxes surrounded by a multitude of Security Robots. All of them look like large cameras with black top hats and tripod legs, as well as being equipped with large lasers. This is only a fraction of the security that this mall is equipped with.

There are a multitude of tricks and traps that Black Hat has set throughout the Infinite Mall, but there is the promise of a wish for the final combatant that manages to survive. Perhaps there is hope of escaping or, at least, surviving this place after all.

48 Characters, 12 ‘Teams’. 1 chance for survival...)

Team #1: Baskerra Hellmane

Curled up in the corner of this box was a cowardly French fox anthro by the name of…Fox. Well, he preferred to call himself ‘Big Bad Fox’, but most just knew him as ‘Cowardly Spineless Punching Bag of the Forest’, among other names.

“This is a dream! Just pinch myself and…nothing.” He looked back at the carnage, witnessing a furious mass of tentacles and bioluminescent blue light try to wrap its body around a tall sleek familiar Seeker Cybertronian.

Starscream was no stranger to this Arena and, this time around, he didn’t get to voice his complaints before the monstrosity before him had latched onto his body, trying to dig his tentacles into his head. Already, a few were shredding through his metal exterior, causing sparks to fly.

“Unhand me, you unsightly pile of slime!” Starscream yelled, slamming the Alpha Mimic against the walls, denting them as Big Bad Fox cowered in fear.

The Alpha Mimic was in a VERY foul mood, given that he had been cut off from the Omega Mimic that granted him the ability to reset time after death. Now, the creature had no means of serving the rest of his species. All he could do was fight and destroy everything in sight. It was pure survival instinct.

Next to the scared vulpine, another familiar face just sighed. “First time?” Skull Man asked, the grim Robot Master looking down at the smaller combatant.

The sight of a bulky skeletal machine caused Big Bad Fox to faint on the spot. Normally, Skull Man would have ignored that, readying himself for the fight ahead. However, a voice within him objected, telling him to focus on getting to the end of this nightmare. “Sure thing, Twilight. I’ll bide my time.”

The soul of the one known as Twilight Sparkle still dwelled within him, hoping to find her way home soon…

Team #2: Floofy

The most insane and utterly vicious member of the Black Hat Organization, Demencia, was already getting into a tussle with those around her. However, this Majin-human hybrid was more than equipped to handle her immense strength and terrifying agility.

“Hold still! I don’t think you’ll taste good, but I’m hungry anyway!” The released evil side of Android 21 yelled, pinballing against the walls while Demencia struggled to avoid her strikes.

“Not before I taste you, cotton candy brain!” She shouted back, locking hands with the villainess.

Suddenly, Demenica was slammed into the wall by another combatant’s foot, while Android 21 was struck in the chest by a spinning ball of volts. “Hate to crash the fight, but don’t keep me out!” Juri Han said, eventually spin-kicking the insane one into the doors, denting them.

The electric tenrec mobian known as Surge made herself known when she got back on her feet, faced with a very pissed-off Android 21, her fists crackling with red energy. “If I beat the every-loving crap out of you, I win? This sounds like my kind of game!” She slammed her fists together, giving a toothy grin as volts surged between those fists.

“I normally don’t go for bite-sized food, but you’ll do!” Android 21 shouted, firing a red beam from her finger that nearly sliced the box in two.

Meanwhile, Juri and Demencia would keep matching blows, the insane one’s strength almost pushing back the outlaw. However, Juri made up for that with her greater level of skill. Leaping into the air, they both tackled into each-other, Demenica’s claws trying to rend her foe’s skin.

“Get off of me, you FREAK!” Her right eye glowing purple, Juri delivered a mean kick to her enemy’s jaw, slamming her against the doors again. At this point, the doors didn’t need to open automatically. It would only be a matter of time before they escaped…

The Dark Elf Queen known as Olga Discordia was not expecting to feel her full power return, nor her sanity. She still remembered her humiliation at the hands of the Black Dogs. The humiliation that had resulted in her losing everything.

Her hands gripped around her staff as her usually listless expression started to falter. “You okay there, lady? I’m just as confused as you are that we’re stuck here, if it helps!” Olga sensed a demonic presence from the green-haired girl next to her, gaining her attention.

Megumi’s own mind was filled to the brim with fragmented memories. Some of them had her still patrolling the world in search of the legendary Overfiend, while others had her trapped under the thrall of a most terrible villain. Whatever the case, she still tried not to panic.

The same could not be said for the silver-haired girl smashing her boot against the doors. “LET ME OUT OF HERE, YOU FUCKS!” Bizen Sayoko yelled, unleashing a flurry of kicks before getting tired and then trying again. “I’ve got a meeting in half an hour! You can’t do this to me!”

“Evidently, the forces at work here can.” The final combatant of the group, Yaku of the Miroku ninja Clan, stated. “Can’t you feel it, everybody? There’s a demonic power that’s responsible for this.”

“I get that. I just wonder how we’re gonna get out.” Megumi wondered, floating over to the doors before looking down at Sayoko. “Need a hand?’

Looking up at the floating woman, the silver-haired one blinked. “Oh, great. I’ve only been here for a minute and I’m already hallucinating.”

Calmly, Olga walked towards the door, tapping her staff against it. An intense purple aura surrounded her, reflecting her inner rage at what had transpired in her kingdom. She had trained herself to hide her emotions at all times, especially around those she didn’t know. Right now, she focused entirely on finding a magical weakness in the door.

“I’ve never seen magic like this! It’s overwhelming! It’s…it’s…” Something about the energy from that magic caused Yaku to clutch around her body, her breasts growing along with the many muscles around her. “RrrrAAAAARGH!’

“The fuck?!” Bizen cried out, patches of white fur growing around the ninja as she grew taller than the dark elf in the room.

Flexing her clawed arms upwards, Yaku stood up in her werewolf form, her canine-like jaws drooling as her muscles pulsated with every flex of her claws. “Leave the rest…to me.”

“Sure! Good luck!” Megumi kept calm, getting out of the way as Yaku focused her wrath against the doors.

Words could not describe the sheer TERROR the traitorous Autobot known as Getaway was feeling when he saw who was in front of him. He had never seen him before, but the fact that this hulking Cybetronian had a Decepticon logo for a face was a clear reason to be afraid.

“I don’t think we’ve met.” The large Decepticon said in a rather calm soothing British voice. “And you’re not one of my targets. I would let you go…had I not remembered that you were supposed to be slain by Soundwave.”

That’s when the Autobot remembered what happened before being sent here. “Oh, scrap…scrap…scrap, scrap, scrap!” He clutched his head harder, remembering how those tentacles dug into him. How they tore him apart slowly while the vengeful Decepticon filled his body with so many different waves to sound to tear apart his circuitry.

Tarn’s attention was then grabbed when he heard an appreciative whistle behind him. “Nice rims. Purple also suits you well.” He had never seen this Decepticon sports car before, but, based on his voice, he seemed to have a high opinion of himself. “Mind blasting open the door with that cannon?”

“All in good time, my fellow Decepticon.” Tarn assured. “Wait a minute. Blast-Off? Did you decide to abandon your flight capabilities to look even gaudier?”

“You’re lucky I’m a medic. I think somebody needs to check their optics.” Knock-Out huffed. “Do I look like that smart-mouthed Combaticon to you?”

Arching a brow, Tarn shrugged. “As long as you still believe in the cause, I see no reason for us to come to blows.”

When he turned around, he saw that Getaway was already being pinned against the wall by another Cybertronian. This tall one seemed to be yet another medic, only his origins appeared to be from Vos, given his Cybertronian jet parts. His arm had also transformed into a chainsaw, holding it close to the traitorous one’s throat.

“An Autobot attacking another Autobot with such ferocity? That’s new.”  Knock-Out observed before turning his own hand into a buzzsaw. “Also, don’t crib my style.”

“Duly noted and ignored!” Pharma smiled. “Now, Tarn, I know you probably want to kill me for not getting enough T-cogs for the Decepticon cause, but give me a few minutes with this one! I promise his T-cog is quite valuable!”

“SOMEBODY GET ME OUT OF THIS MADHOUSE ALREADY!” Getaway shouted, finally getting out his Nudge Gun and shoving it against his attacker’s head, causing short-term memory loss as he scrambled towards the opening doors.

He could already feel the heat of Tarn’s cannon charging up, causing him to hurriedly transform into his Cybertronian Mazda mode. Would he make it?

Team #5: Kit

Two combatants strolled around the sizable interior of the container, brainstorming as they treated this like it was no big deal at all. One of them had already been through an episode, while another was new to it, but quite enthusiastic to see what the hype was about.

“So, I’m not used to sharing the director’s seat with another, but I can tell you’ve got a flair for the stylistic.” Happy Chaos stated, walking next to the Radio Demon himself, Alastor. “That could be promising.”

“My mysterious fellow, you always have to keep the audience guessing your motive. It keeps them invested!” Alastor exclaimed. “I, for one, am curious as to just how much power you’re holding back! It’ll be a spectacle if you let it all out!”

“Aw, you’re making me blush.” Happy Chaos chuckled.

Suddenly, the Daedric Prince of chaos and disorder himself, Sheogorath, got between them. “What are we talking about? Some kind of book? Poem? Way to slaughter an entire batatllion of angry cats?! Tell me or don’t! Either one or none at all!”

Despite the sheer power of this entity, the duo didn’t seem bothered by his presence. “You’re just in time. We were just discussing how we should change the script.” Happy Chaos explained. “Don’t suppose you’ve got some ideas?’

“Ooooh! A play! How about one that starts with an end, then a beginning, and then a middle! With intermission.” Sheogorath suggested. “Let there be arm-twisting, arm-rending, arm-slapping, and cheese! Lots and lots of cheese!”

Clapping sarcastically, a more depraved combatant stepped forth. “How very Shakespearian. Here’s one thing you oafs are lacking!” The Arkham version of the infamous Clown Prince of Crime, the Joker, stated. “I mean, look at me! I’ve got a face that leaves the audience screaming for more…or, y’know, just screaming in general.”

Alastor rubbed his chin, examining the murderous harlequin of hate. “Hmmm…you seem like just the type to sow some chaos.”

“And that’s my cue.” Happy Chaos suddenly materialized a revolver in his hand, blowing several holes through the door. “Why don’t we get this party started?’

Sheogorath’s expression suddenly warped into pure rage, his hands glowing with pure chaotic magic. “Wait! I just realized we’re trapped! NOBODY TRAPS ME HERE! I WANT TO BE TRAPPED IN SOME PLACE NICER!” Floating in the air, his power began to climb.

“Yeesh. Get a load of this joker.” Arkham Joker stated before readying his own revolver. “But what the heck?! It’s SHOWTIME!”

Team #6: Kitte

Normally, if he still had the Black Heart within himself, Final would be the one that all the combatants would be coming to fight, given the wish-granting properties of that thing. Now, the tentacled guardian found himself having to fight just to reclaim the accursed heart.

For now, he felt nothing but overwhelming guilt. All that effort to keep the Black Heart out of Prince Janos’ corrupt hands had been for naught. That included all the torment his offspring had gone through, as well as all the other bits of carnage that had happened around him.

Ananzi, daughter of Prince Janos, was also feeling utterly lousy. Her own father had cast her aside like a pawn. Heck, he had even killed her personally when she tried to stop his mad ambitions.

“We did it all for you, father.” She bitterly said to herself, her form shifting as the spiders that made up her body clicked their fangs in anger. “And this is how your repay me?!”

“Hey, you two gonna stand there or buy something?” A slightly manic-looking Shopkeeper asked, her insane-looking smile not faltering as she stood in front of the angry ones.

Final tilted his head, while Ananzi leaned in. “If you have something that’ll allow me to get vengeance on my father, do tell. Otherwise, I’ll consider you an obstacle in my way.”

A burst of light caused her to shield her eyes, the tip of a glowing sword moving underneath her chin. “There will be no bloodshed. Work with me and we can escape this nightmare.” The angelic guardian of Eden, Serif, stated.

Instead of being grateful for the angelic one stepping in, the Shopkeeper butted in, pushing her out the way. “Do you mind? I’m trying to sell my wares! I’ve got plenty to pick from! Maybe some food for those eight-legged freaks crawling all around you?”

“We are not amused.” Ananzi narrowed her eyes, but she started to look through the various items, which included some potions and a few weapons.

Serif was going to fly back in, but Final approached her, causing her to nearly summon her blades. “As a fellow guardian, I must warn you. For my realm, I will fight anybody who stands in my way.” The creature spoke in a language indecipherable to most that weren’t from the Other World, but the angelic one could understand him.

She nodded at his statement. “I can fee the dedication in your words. Should we cross paths again, I look forward to seeing how fiercely you’ll fight for your realm.”

Team #7: Fax5

Before he had been sent here, the former Yazuka known as Jiro had been traveling across the world, his quest for vengeance complete. He had seen many things throughout his travels, but an anthro turtle wasn’t one of them.

Leonardo was focused on finding a way out, but he knew that making peace with those trapped with him was more important. Laying down his katanas, he sat with the mask-wearing one. “See? I’m not a threat. I want an explanation as much as you do.”

“Are you some kind of demon? A kappa? I’ve heard stories about you demons in my youth.” Jiro replied, speaking in fluent Japanese.

Chuckling, another swordsman entered the fray, his body amplified by cybernetics. His sword was also one of a kind, capable of jettisoning from its hilt and cutting cleanly through pretty much anything. “Seems more like an extra from…what was that film? Shrek?”

His eye slightly twitching, Leonardo stood up. “I’d appreciate you two not judging me based on my appearance. Right now, we’ve got bigger things to worry about. It’s obvious whoever sent us here wants us to fight to the death.”

“If that is what it takes for us to be free from this…” Jiro gave a menacing look to the mutant turtle, gripping around his katana. “…then you had best fight like Hell.”

“I was going to tell you the same thing.” Jetstream Sam remarked, but he didn’t reach for his weapon. “Course, I’d like for us to fight one-on-one. I can tell the level of skill you two have HAS to be better than the usual rank-and-file I have to put up with. Kind of like…him.”

Realizing he had been caught, the assassin known as Shadow put away his sniper rifle. He had been huddled in the corner of the box, his outfit providing natural camouflage in the shadows. “You can’t see me! I’m not real! I was never here!” He spoke in a British accent, his tone flustered with how he had been found out.

Leonardo groaned. “For the record, I knew you were there. Now, let’s put aside our differences and fight our way to victory. Can we do that? Maybe even put an end to whatever evil is responsible for this?”

The cyborg ninja of the group shrugged. “Sure. Why not? Long as it’s exciting.” He had his own plans for the wish that was promised, but he kept those to himself. Jiro also saw that the doors were opening, causing him to start moving towards them.

Still, if he had to fight through the entire list of combatants, Shadow was going to be at the top of his list. The assassin merely gulped, unable to get the steely gaze of his foe out of his head.

Team #8: Nighthawk87

“Caboose Log 1: It’s dark in here! That must mean we’re not in a box, but some kind of cave! Caves are filled with all kinds of treasure. If I find it, then ‘Talk-Like-A-Pirate Day’ is every day!”

The simulation trooper known as Caboose was already making random observations about his current circumstances, not really understanding the gravity of the situation. Maybe he actually did, though? This wouldn’t be the first time he had been flung through time/space.

The same could be said for Weiss Schnee, the huntress remembering how she had been, once again, transported to an unfamiliar place. “Just my luck.” She grumbled before turning to Caboose. “I don’t know where we are, but can I trust you to watch my back while I figure this out?”

Seeing Weiss sword caused Caboose to gasp. “A giant toothpick! That must mean there’s a giant in this cave! The surprises never stop!”

“I’m sorry. Toothpick?!” Weiss exclaimed. “Nevermind. Anybody else here?”

Two sharp fans buried into the door, a beautiful belly dancer moving to grab them. “There’s my dramatic entrance! Hold the applause until I get out of this dismal place.” Maya Mahabala stated before looking to Weiss. “By the way, I like  your clothes! Are you rich? If so, could you spare some money? Preferably in huge sacks?”

Losing patience, the huntress did her best to keep her cool. “Is there anybody here who can take this situation seriously?”

“Maybe I can help.” A one-armed man walked in, a scar over his eye. Weiss almost made a joke about how they had matching scars, but she kept it to herself. “Name’s Gohan. I’m not sure how we got here, but I’ll make sure we get out.”

“Wasn’t there an announcement that whoever made it to the end would receive a great reward?” Maya asked, her eyes gazing upon the muscular one with an appreciative and slightly flirty smile. “It would be nice if we could not only escape, but ALSO have whatever that wish is.”

“Can I have the pirate treasure? Can I? Can I?” Caboose started to jump around in joy.

Taking a deep breath, Weiss examined the doors, feeling around them. “Maybe there’s a weakpoint in this thing? I just need to find it.”

WHAM! Future Gohan’s fist struck the door, denting it heavily and causing the entire box to shake. “Sorry! I thought I found the weak-point!” He apologized, especially since Weiss was quite spooked by that level of strength.

“My turn!” Caboose rushed to the door and delivered an even BIGGER dent, surprising all three. The door began to creak, the hinges starting to bend…

Team #9: SuperDocBoy

Being an Unngoy in the former alliance of extraterrestrials known as the Covenant was already hard. Most of the time, these ‘Grunts’, as they were called, spent most of their time being cannon fodder. They even spent half the time running away in sheer terror, especially when the one called ‘Master Chief’ showed up.

For this Covenant Grunt, he was running in circles from the large toothy smile-faced fiend and the Shy-Gal riding atop it. Bandita was her name and she was greatly enjoying that her pet got to have some fun in this dismal location.

“That’s right! You almost got him! Almost gooooot him!” Bandita giggled, her mount chomping at the Covenant Grunt’s tail some more.

“How did I get myself into this mess?! I just wanted glory!” He wailed.

Watching this with zero emotion was a being from the mysterious realm that came from the Nintendo Universe. The realm known as Sub-Space. Created by the deceased energy being known as Tabuu, this ‘Primid’ was a combination of several of its energy-based brethren.

She could form blasters and swords in his hands, basically. This ‘Last Primid’ would continue to watch, ready to make her move when the time for battle was right. However, standing around like that allowed her to be vulnerable when a mushroom-like creature aimed its blaster at the back of her head.

The emotionless being may have been the Last Primid, but this was the last Shroob. The extraterrestrial fungus continued to aim its blaster at the energy-based being, muttering some growls along the way. Growls that translated to “DESTROY!”.

Suddenly, the Last Primid quickly turned around and kicked underneath the Shroob’s legs, forming a blaster that she began to fire around the entire container. “Yipe!” Both Bandita and the Covenant Grunt shouted, the blasts forcing everybody to scramble, even as the doors started to open.

Team #10: A Fan

"Oh, Zuko, my love, we have finally been reunited at last!"

"Yes, my Katara, it has been too long!"

By some cruel twist of fate, the fake versions of Zuko and Katara (from that one comic “How I Became Yours”) were once more showing up in the Arena. Instead of realizing they were stuck in yet another Arena, they were fiercely making out, ignoring everything else as they continued to messily kiss each-other.

However, their romantic moment would be suddenly interrupted when a fireball was flung at them, causing Not-Zuko to stand back up, his fists lighting up with flames. “How dare you do that!” He shouted.

Standing before them was another returner. This one being the murderous alternate version fo Garfield Logan/Beast Boy, Count Logan. “Your love was a love I once had…and it makes me sick!” Any reminders of his time with Terra, as usual, set him off.

“You hate love? Then you must have a very cruel heart!” Not-Katara said, her eyes glowing as she tried to blood-bend the top hat-wearing villain.

That wouldn’t work, as the power of the Dark Prognosticus allowed Count Logan to counter that, although he did feel his movements slow. “FOOLS!” He shouted, floating up before dive-bombing at the duo.

In slow motion, the final combatant of the group leaped near him, slashing at Count Logan before she landed in front of all. “No. Stop. That’s enough.” Not much emotion as in her voice, her expression showing a great lack of emotion.

This was Not-Mulan, who hailed from the live-action remake of the Disney animated classic. Despite her skill with the blade, the lack of passion and care that seemed to make up her form made her too slow to stop the trio from engaging in yet another battle, fire and laser blasts flying over her head.

This would all last until the doors started to open, momentarily ending the fight for now.

Team #11: Drake

Having been saved from the brink of death and having regained his humanity once more, the mighty Master Asia sat in the middle of the room, meditating as he focused his incredible power inwards. The terminal illness he had was still eating away at him, but he swore he would continue to fight.

After all, he had been given yet another chance to save his planet. Earth’s beauty would be restored with the wish at the end and nothing would stand in his path. The chance to become champion had started to fill his soul with the same fire he felt when he first started fighting.

His concentration would falter slightly when the other combatant in the room, a man by the name of Rodolfo Rivera kept poking him. “Hello? Hello? Anybody home?” He innocently asked.

Suddenly, Master Asia’s eyes shot up, his body leaping back before he landed flawlessly, getting into a fighting stance. “The passion in your soul. I can feel it just by being near you.” He confessed. “Who are you?”

Though surprised by that jump, the superhero got into a pose of his own. “Protector of Miracle City! White Pantera! Now, I’ve got a question for you! Are you a hero or villain? I need to know before my fists connects with your face.”

“Hero? Villain? Does it matter?! Us fighters communicate best with our fists!” Master Asia insisted.

Arching a brow, White Pantera started to move his fist like a hand-puppet. “I don’t think this is working. How do you say ‘Bring it on’ in fist?”

WHAM!

Upon being slammed into the doors of the box, Miracle City’s hero stood up, some of his teeth slightly broken. “Oh. That’s how.”

Standing over him was the other combatant in the room, Carmilla Carmine. Her red-eyes glanced at the battered hero, then to the one that struck him. “Hmmm…in terms of allies, I can’t be too picky. Maybe you two can cease this idiocy and focus your attacks on the door?”

Gazing upon the melancholic beauty of the demon, White Pantera felt a blush rise around his mask. “No! Keep it together, Rodolfo. Your heart belongs to only one.” He quickly whipped out a photo of his beloved Maria, kissing it before standing up quickly. “It shall be done! By the way, hero or villain? Just asking! No offense!”

“Doesn’t matter. My business is my own. All you need to know is that, if you stand against me, the most time you’ll have to regret that decision is ten seconds.” Carmilla sharply replied before moving to check for weaknesses in the wall.

Blinking, the hero rubbed his chin. “I’m going to go with ‘morally complicated’.”

Suddenly, a large graceful robot loomed over them all. This one appeared to have a sea motif going for it, given the trident-spear. Standing twice as tall as them, the cockpit opened, revealing the herald of the Elemental Lord of Water, Tytti Norbuck.

“Maybe you should let me handle this? I’m willing to lend a hand if it means our freedom!” She offered, her two wolf familiars (Freki and Geri) accompanying her.

“Too late! Already handling it!” White Pantera slammed his fist against the door, only for his fingers to bruise. He still kept his smile, despite looking obviously pained. A tear even rolled down his cheek.

Gazing upon the robot known as Gaddeath, Master Asia gave a slight chuckle. “Now, things are getting interesting. I must see what’s beyond this door! I can feel so many fighting auras around me!”

“Are you sure about that? You might want to get out of the way.” Tytti instructed. “The full fury of my Masou Kishin.”

With a slice of his sash, the door suddenly was sliced in two. It slowly slid down, light pouring into the box…

Team #12: Buddhe

Merri curled into the corner, fearful of the unfamiliar place around her. No longer was the vulpid slave waiting within her prison. Instead, she was now in an unfamiliar prison, a human wearing a chicken mask looming over her.

Closing her eyes, she relaxed, waiting for him to forcefully use her in whatever fantasies he had in mind. Instead, the mute human just turned away, carrying a baseball bat in his hand. Jacket was his name and all he knew was that he needed to get out of here.

After all, the voices in his head were telling him that he had work to do.

The vulpid slave wasn’t the only anthro in the room. The eternally unlucky Katia Managan had also noticed her, having never seen anybody like her before. “Um…you okay?” She asked, leaning down and causing Merri to flinch. “I don’t have any healing potions on me, but maybe I can find some bandages?”

“…” She didn’t reply. She just continued to stay in that corner, unsure of what to do.

The final combatant in the room was from an alternate point in time from Earth’s history. The legendary John Brown himself. While he was confused as to why there were cat and fox people in his midst, his attention was drawn to the slave collar around Merri’s neck.

His hands clenched around his rifle, remembering the horrors that slaves had to go through. “Whoever did this to you…they’ll be facing the Lord’s judgement very soon.” He promised before walking over to her, leaning down as he extended a hand. “Don’t be shy. I’m a friend.”

The warmth in his voice caused Merri’s ears to flick. She still wasn’t sure how to take this, but she stopped tensing up so much. “So, anybody got any idea of where we are? Because I’m stumped.” Katia admitted before turning to Jacket. “Do you know?”

Nothing but silence happened, causing the Khajit to slowly turn her head away, feeling hostile intent from the silent one. “Guess we can always throw things at the doors and see what works?”

“They can’t keep us locked in here forever.” John Brown vowed, loading his rifle. “They should know that, if those doors open, there’s gonna be Hell to pay.”

The stage was set. All cameras both inside and outside the mall were paying close attention to what was about to happen. The Black Hat Organization’s top scientist, Dr. Flug, was monitoring the events from a satellite above the whole place, crossing his fingers that things would go right for him.

“I assure you, sir! This ‘Infinite Mall’ is perfect! It’ll be the ultimate tool for making every villain’s nemesis suffer!” He spoke to one of the screens in the satellite, finding himself crammed in there.

That screen showed Black Hat himself, the lanky abomination of a villain looking unimpressed. “We’ll see about that. The resources needed for your ‘Infinite Mall’ project cost me a fortune! It had better deliver! Otherwise…you know what happens when I get upset.” Tentacles started to come out of the screen, freaking out the scientist.

“No! It’s fine! Everything’s under control! I promise!” Dr. Flug insisted before his boss ended the call. That left him to sigh and cross his fingers, pressing the button that would release the combatants. “Here we go. Possible promotion, here I come.”

THE INFINITE MALL IS OPEN!

PART 2: TO THE MALL!

(Coconut Mall-Mario Kart Wii)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cscuCIzItZQ

When the crates opened, the mall suddenly came alive with the sound of alarms, the cars around the parking lot transforming into mechanical monstrosities. Basically, regular cars, but with their wheels extending outwards like tentacles. From the hoods of those cars, more tentacles showed up, laser blasters and buzzsaws attached to them.

Their headlights also changed to look more angry, the Black Hat symbol displayed on their bumper stickers. One of them let out a shrieking roar before a bullet went through its engine, causing it to blow up. “Alright, lads! Let’s do this!” Shadow shouted, sticking near the crate as laser blasts flew over his head.

Jiro rushed forward, slicing through one tentacle that rushed at him. Cold fury was reflected on his face, his mask covered in oil as he ran towards the mall. Looking behind him, he could see a large barrier was moving to basically herd them all in. So, there was no running away from this.

Not that he cared. There was some catharsis for him as he cut through the monstrous car robots.

“TENTACLES! Why did it have to be TENTACLES?!” Getaway cried out, still in his car mode as he sped towards the exit. He ended up skidding over some oil, spinning out before being forced to transform back. It looked like he was dancing as he tried to avoid the laser blasts. “I hope nobody is watching this!”

Future Gohan fired a Kamehameha at the fiends, blasting them into scrap, though more seemed to take their place. “We can’t keep this up! We need to reach the mall!” He shouted.

“Say no more!” Weiss created several glyphs around her group, causing ice crystals to start rising around her. They stabbed into the fiends, blocking their path and even reflecting some of their lasers.

“Pretty lights!” Caboose chuckled before a tentacle rushed at him. He grabbed it, swinging the entire car robot around in the air. “Hey, robots! I found your friend! CATCH!” With all of his strength, he flung the machine into a crowd of the monsters, sending scrap flying.

In response, many more tentacles rushed at them, the buzzsaws moving at maximum speed. “Allow me to handle this! Watch and be amazed!” Maya excitedly said as she spun around while moving forward, the wind of her blades reducing to the tentacles to chopped-up pieces.

Her concentration was nearly ruined when Knock-Out drove past her, using the corpse of a car robot as a ramp. “Move it or lose it!” He shouted.

Flying over the chaos, Megumi thought she was out of the woods, but a series of drones with large top hats rushed at her. “SECURITY ALERT! OBJECTIVE: ANNIHILATE HEROES AND VILLAINS ALIKE!” One drone shouted, its wings revealing several missile launchers.

They fired at the floating demon, causing her to have to swerve out of the way. “This isn’t how you greet guests at the mall!” She shouted, her nails extending into claws as she sliced one drone in half.

Still not showing a trace of emotion, Olga walked through the mayhem, only to come face-to-face with several snarling car robots, their lasers trained on her. “Trying to use the light against me?” She wondered out-loud before spreading her arms. “Very well. Do your worst.”

They fired their laser blasters, only for the shots to be reflected at them by a shield made of dark magic, slicing through their engines and causing them to explode around her. Walking through the flames, she thought her path was clear, only for Gaddeath to fly over her, nearly knocking her on her ass.

Grumbling angrily, she took a deep breath, leaving the mayhem to the others. She would see this madness through if it meant regaining her kingdom.

Gaddeath sliced through the hordes with her trident, her familiars floating around her in their metallic orb forms to assist. Tytti’s concentration would be tested when Arkham Joker suddenly leaped onto her cockpit. “What the?!”

“Nice ride! I’ll take it!” He aimed his revolver at the robot’s head, managing to take out an optic with several shots before he was grabbed by the scruff of his shirt and thrown into the crowd. That just led to him getting atop one of the car robots, riding it like a horse. “Spoilsport!”

Running through the destruction in a panic, the Covenant Grunt was being chased by a car robot, the lasers firing at his feet as he flailed his arms in the air. “WE’RE DOOMED!” He cried out, though the car robot was soon sliced in half flawlessly by Jetstream Sam.

“Now, this is something!” He said with a smile, looking at the various fighters around him. He looked up to the sky, noticing a dark purple light blocking his vision. “That’s probably not good.” He said before dodging the blast of dark magical energy just in time.

Count Logan was on the offensive, flinging dark energy balls at random. “Useless! All your efforts mean nothing! I’ll destroy this mall and everything else on his meaningless world!”

Rising behind him, Alastor wrapped his own tentacles around him, his appearance looking much more fearsome as he unleashed his power in a greater amount. “That’s cute, but we’ve just begun! No need to ruin it so soon!” His manic grin increased as he slammed his tentacles against the villain, though he blocked it with his cane, dark magical volts flying everywhere.

They struck Not-Zuko and Not-Katara, shocking them greatly before they were blasted into the mall, shattering the window in the process. Live-Action Mulan merely leaped into that hole in slow-motion, despite the laser blasts around her going at regular speed. It had resulted in one of her legs getting blasted, fumbling that jump at the end as she crashed into the interior of the mall.

Evil Android 21 charged up a laser in her hand, aiming it at Future Gohan while he lead his team to victory. “You look familiar AND delicious! I’ll enjoy-GAH!” She was then bitten by the Basky Bug, her limbs starting to convulse as the Majin energy around them mixed with what the insect had given her. “What’s…happening?!”

Letting out a horrific roar, she began to melt into pink goo, but it was slowly reforming into large blob-like creature, pink tentacles rising as they grew several more mouths for the evil android. Her face rose up from the large clump of pink in the middle, no eyes shown as the toothy maw roared. Her clothes were also moving around to fit around the four large tentacles.

“That’s going to haunt my nightmares, but no matter!” White Pantera exclaimed. “Prepare to face my fists, beast!” He shouted, leaping off a car robot to deliver several blows against the head, almost like it was a living punching bag.

Roaring in fury, the mutated Android 21 fired red beams from all of her maws, slicing through the car robots and forcing many to scatter. Carmilla skillfully danced through the beams, her legs shredding through several drones and car robots as she spun-kicked into the mutated monster, sending her flying across the parking lot.

“Fantastic! Where did you get those skills?!” White Pantera wondered.

“Year of practice. Now, let’s move! I don’t think we have long!” She was right, as the barrier was moving quickly.

John Brown led his team through the mayhem, his rifle seemingly having infinite ammo as he blasted several of the fiends. “Stand back, you metal demons!” He shouted, shoving his rifle through an attacking drone.

Merri clung to Katia as this happened, the Khajit trying out one of her lightning spells. It caused the fur of both anthros to stand on end, but it shut down one of the car robots. “Wow, that actually worked!”

“You can use magic?” Merri exclaimed.

“Uh, yeah! It’s not all that special where I come from.” Katia admitted, but her thoughts were interrupted when Starscream flew over them, several drones chasing him.

Doing a barrel roll, he transformed back into his robot mode, the drones flying past him as he unleashed his null rays on them. “You think a couple useless piles of nuts and bolts can stop me?!” He shouted, only for a ball of electricity to smash into his chest.

Falling to the ground, he looked up to see Surge standing over a pile of car robots. “Yeah, they can’t do shit, but I can!” She grinned, punching her fists together.

Growling in anger, Starscream aimed his Null Rays at her, only for one of them to be slashed in half by Master Asia’s sash. “What?! Impossible!” He cried out, looking at his broken weapon.

“For me, nothing is impossible!” More slices of his sash created several wounds over the Decepticon, while Surge tried to rush into him, intending on winning this Arena at all costs.

She crashed into Yaku’s muscular arms, volts flying as she was pushed off by the werewolf "Don’t forget about me!” Yaku roared, only for one of Katia’s flame spells to splash against the oil around them.

Having tried to hide behind one of the destroyed car robots, Bizen noticed what was about to happen. “That’s not good, is it?” She groaned.

KABOOM! All those involved in that previous fight were flung into the sky, all rocketed back towards the mall. Master Asia was the only one that managed to coordinate himself in the air, diving down into the mall and ready to take on whatever challenges awaited him there.

“…sorry!” Katia blushed in embarrassment.

Walking through the chaos like it was no big deal at all, Happy Chaos spun around one of his revolvers as he took in the sights. “Never thought I’d say this, but this script’s looking a little jumbled. So many characters, so many different motivations! How does one keep track?”

Next to him, Skull Man was using his barrier attack to keep the car robots at bay, pushing the Skull Shield towards his foes. “Quit analyzing and help us get to that mall!”

“Why would I do that? You all seem to be doing pretty swell.” Happy Chaos shrugged, idly firing his revolver to ricochet through several portals he made.

The Alpha Mimic avoided that shot, racing through the chaos and even trying to attack Fox while he was at it. “I thought we were on the same side! You’re out of your mind!” The vulpine cried out, his tail nearly getting bitten by the furious invader.

One of his tentacles was then grabbed by the Last Primid, who had used her abilities to grow giant. Swinging the angered creature around, she used him like a flail, sending car parts flying everywhere. “Not impressed!” Bandita shouted. “I can do that too!”

With her toothy ball-shaped companion, the Shy Gal bounced on top of several of the car robots, the teeth of the beast crunching them into nothing. However, her rampage nearly came to an end when several swords made of light slammed around her.

Carrying two flaming swords, Serif cut through all in her path, spinning around before slamming those blades down, creating shockwaves of flame that ripped through the fiends. “Show-off!” Shopkeeper skipped through the carnage, not caring in the slightest about the mayhem happening.

Ignoring that, Serif noticed that Leonardo had been injured in one leg. She felt compelled to leave him, as her duties to Eden always came first for her. However, she could sense that he had a noble heart, causing her to hesitate.

Unfortunately, right as he got back up, Pharma snuck up from behind, driving his chainsaw straight down into Leonardo’s head. He didn’t even get a chance to scream as that arm kept driving into that shell, green mutant fluid flying everywhere as the fallen medic gave an insane smile. “I believe this is what humans call ‘turtle soup’?”

Disgusted by such brutality, she prepared to attack, only for a large laser to blast into Pharma’s side, forcing him to flee as he clutched his wound. That was courtesy of Final, the tentacled guardian carving a path of destruction while trying to get at Juri.

Something was different with the outlaw, though. The Basky Bug had gotten to her as well, transforming her into an anthro black widow. Her segmented body twisted as she avoided those tentacles, her long tongue licking her new fangs. “I don’t know WHAT is going on, but I feel more alive than ever!” She exclaimed, flexing her extra arms.

Behind her, Ananzi had transformed into her giant spider form, slamming her legs in order to get at her. “I know imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but this is NOT what I had in mind!”

“Wait!” Final held up a hand, watching as Juri fled into the mall, using webs from her new abdomen to get around. “We must focus on our goal. The salvation of the Other World awaits.”

“Fine.” Ananzi’s spidery form turned back into her default humanoid one, the two entering the mall right as the barrier neared them. She still wanted to go after Juri, but she was interrupted when Demencia suddenly leaped onto her head, chasing after the transformed outlaw.

“Come back here! I wanna see what Black Hat’s creations will do to you!” She cried out, causing the princess of the Other World to nearly lose her temper again.

At the end of it all, Sheogorath was the last one to enter the mall, having turned the remaining car robots into scrap by twisting their tentacles into various shapes, with many of the machines having been twisted to look like a cheese wheel. “Ah, yes. My masterpiece!” He proudly said…before the barrier reduced it to ashes.

Grumbling, he walked through the automatic doors. “Everyone’s a critic!” He shouted, those doors suddenly clamping shut, not allowing any chance of escape.
