Hunter was out working, carving palismen. It had been his last custom palismen of the day to make, and luckily an easy one. Though Hunter loved carving palismen, it does get tiring after a bit. “Hunter seems tired. need rest!” Hunters own palismen, waffles chirped.
“No, no, it's ok, I'm almost done with this one anyways.” Hunter told the bluejay.
And just then, BAM, a giant boiling rain storm hit. Now Hunter doesn't get affected by the boiling rain, but in cases like these, he does get soaking Wet.
“Alright, Well I guess it's time to get going waffle-” Hunter looked around, waffles nowhere to be seen. “Waffles?” Hunter kept looking around until he heard distant chirping, he looked where it was coming from, of course, the opening to the woods. The storm Must of scared her off.
Hunter Teleported all around the woods for about fifteen minutes until he found waffles hiding in a tree. Usually he knows the place pretty well, at least the part of the woods that was close to The palismen shop. But with how heavy the rain was, it was hard to see.
“Hey, hey, waffles it's ok, I'm right here” Hunter said, waiting Patiently for waffles to come down to him. Waffles stared at Hunter for a minute, then flew down and sat in his hair. Hunter chuckled to himself “are you alright now Waffles?” Waffles chirped a yes back in response.
Waffles started to snuggle in more to Hunters hair, then suddenly, she froze. “Whats wrong?” Hunter asked.
Waffles got out of Hunters hair and flew into his face. “Follow me, palismen need help.” Hunter immediately agreed, he hated seeing palismen hurt.Waffles raced through the woods as Hunter followed close behind, eventually they stopped at a very worn down tree, nor was it a palistrom wood one.The tree looked like the oldest one in the woods. Hunter was about to speak when suddenly there was a squeaking noise. Hunter walked around to the back of the tree to find a heavily beaten up mouse looking palismen. Hunter knelt down in front of the palismen to pick them up. Upon seeing Hunter the palismen tried to back away, but they didn't go far.
Waffles flew up to the palismen, “here to help” Waffles said to the palismen, the palismen then said something to Waffles. Waffles flew up to hunters face, “said they don't know where owner is, have idea though”
“I'm guessing they need our help getting there then?” Waffles nodded. This time, Hunter reached out his hands in front of the palismen and waited for them to crawl in. Once they did, Hunter slowly stood up.
“Follow, told me way.” Waffles told Hunter. as they were walking Hunter started thinking to himself. How long had the palismen been there? The damage doesn't look new at all. Did the age of the tree have any relevance to the palismen? Did the owner leave the palismen?
Eventually they came to a stop. To a cave, except, there was no way to get in. Hunter looked at waffles “are you sure this is the way to get in? Would anyone even be in here?”
“They say this right” Hunter walked up to the cave and knocked on it, it was hollow. Hunter stood there, thinking how he could break the wall open. He set down the mouse palismen a little far away and told waffles to watch them. Hunter pulled out some glyphs from his pocket. First he tried a fire glyph, he didn't know what he was expecting to happen, but nothing happened anyway. Hunter tried to see if maybe he could break it open if it was hot but still, nothing. (if anything it just made the stone really hot)
Next Hunter pulled out some ice glyphs, maybe if he froze it enough it would break open? Nope, nothing. Hunter sat down against the cave, he really wanted to get this palismen back with their owner, but he couldn't figure out how to get inside. “Waffles, should we maybe try coming back tomorrow? I can't figure out how to get inside and the storm isn't helping.”
Hunter then looked back at the wall, the mouse palisman had walked up to the cave and started rubbing their head on the wall, then a part of the wall moved open. Hunter looked back at waffles “either their extremely smart or we’re just extremely dumb”
Hunter stood up and walked to the opening, he knelt down and put his hands out again for the palismen to crawl back into. Once the palismen did, Hunter stood back up. Hunter pulled out a light glyph from his pocket and activated it. Hunter started walking in with Waffles following behind.
