Chapter Text
It's been 3 months since luffy has gone missing.
3 months of his crew worrying, looking for him and not knowing where he is. No one has seen him since after the celebration in Wano.
When the straw hats were leaving the isolated country, they were waiting for their captain to come so they can set sail. At first they were annoyed when he was taking too long to show up, but when it got close to sunset, they all started to get a little worried.
Sanji and Chopper went looking for him on that day, but they couldn't find him. The only thing that they found was his hat, laying underneath a cherry blossom tree.
Once Sanji and Chopper only came back with the hat, everyone was really worried. Luffy doesn't go anywhere without his hat.
They spent 3 days looking for him in Wano, trying to figure out where he was and Law did help them at first, but he eventually he had to leave and set sail with his crew.
He's been keeping contact with the straw hats and asking them about luffy, but he each time he called, they had nothing.
It was so strange. One night in Wano Luffy is celebrating with the citizens and his crew, the next day he's no where to be found.
And before he went missing, the last thing Luffy said to Law was on the night of the celebration. He went over to Law with a piece of meat on the bone and a cup of sake. He gave a wide grin to Law and said to him.
"I hope we meet again on adventures, Traffy. Because if we do, I'm going to give you a big hug."
Law only scoffed at him and told Luffy the next time they meet, they will be enemies.
That's the last conversation they had.
Right now Law is wondering what Luffy is doing and if he's having a better time than him right now.
Law is standing on winner island, not too far from his the most feared and newest Yonko, black beard. Law is tired, almost out of breath and frustrated. The yonko and his crew has been chase Law and his crew for hours, the two have been fighting for 3 hours.
The island is a mess with a rock all over the place, destroyed trees and crushed mountains.
Black beard is grinning at him with an evil look in his eyes, those eyes are nearly soulless, but at the same time they look like there's one or two more lives behind them.
Black beard laughs. "Law. You must be getting tired, aren't you? Did you really think you had a chance against me because you took down big mom?"
Law doesn't answer, he just activates his powers, getting a room ready.
"She was weak, but me. I'm more powerful than ever. So if you cooperate and give me what I want, I might let your crew live."
"Takt." Law only says and boulders start to float up and rush towards black beard. The man only laughs loudly and starts up his devil fruit powers.
"Tremor crush!"
A huge earth quake begins to happen, the boulders that were going to black beard shatter. The earth on the island moves and shake and Law's room is shatters.
Law tries to keep his feet planted on the ground, but the tremor is too strong, he ends up flying into a boulder on the island. He shouts in pain as it shatters and he falls to the ground.
He can hear Black beard's obnoxious laugh in the distance.
"Damn it." Law grunts, he struggles to get up and when he does, a black vortex opens in front of him.
Law is suddenly choking when he's pulled into a forceful grip. Black beard is now holding him by the neck, squeezing the life out of him.
"A brat like you got lucky, now as fun as this was, I must be going, but don't worry I'll try to make this quick." He says with an evil smile and starts to choke Law more.
Law struggles in his grip and raises his hand a little to try and form a room.
When he's about to choke out the words, he's suddenly drop to the ground.
He takes a deep breath, relieved that he's getting oxygen again. He touches his soar throat and looks up.
He's confused and shocked at what he sees.
Black beard is just standing there with his eyes almost rolled to the back of his head. Blood is dripping from his mouth, it looks like he's choking on it a little.
Law's eyes wonder to the man's chest. He sees something long sticking out of it, whatever it is covered in black fabric.
It pulls out of black beard and blood gushes from his wound. He falls to the ground and a puddle of blood forms under him.
“What the hell.” Law says
Law looks up and sees a figure standing far away. They’re in a white jacket and white dome like boots and they have black gloves on.
On their head is a cyberpunk helmet. Even though Law can’t see they’re face, he can tell the stranger is looking at him.
“Boss!” Someone shouts and Law and the stranger look to the right to see Burgess. “You bastard!” The man says before he rushes over to the stranger, ready to punch him.
The person doesn’t move though, he stays completely still. When Burgess is close, he takes a swing, but stranger suddenly disappears.
“What the-“
The stranger appears right behind the man in mid air and gives him a fierce and fast kick to the head, making him crash into the ground. A big hole is left behind.
Shots then ring out, the stranger dodges the bullets quickly and Law looks to see where they’re coming from.
He sees Black beard’s sniper from his ship, taking aim and shooting. He’s shooting from the crow’s nest.
The Helmet stranger keeps dodging, probably due to observation haki. Steam comes off the stranger’s body and in a flash he’s in front of the sniper.
Without saying a word, he puts his finger through him.
Van Augur shouts in pain and before he could do anything else, the same finger breaks one of the lens to his glasses and pierces his eye.
Van screams and goes down to the floor once the finger is pulled out, he clutches his bleeding eye while the stranger stands over him.
The person jumps out of the crows nest and onto the main deck, he’s surrounded by black beard’s crew.
“Don’t just stand there! Kill him!” One of the crew members say.
While they run towards him, the stranger takes off one of his gloves and balls his hand into a fist. Haki coats his hand and he bends down on one knee.
He punches the floor of the ship.
After that he quickly flys off the ship due to his boots. The crew members look confused, but they start to panic once the ship starts shaking.
“W-What’s going on?!” One person yells.
“You bastard! what did you do!?”
The stranger doesn’t say anything, he just watches the ship shatter and break into pieces. Black beard’s men scream as they go in the water, some start to drown.
The stranger flys back to the island and Law stands up. He takes out his sword so he can defend himself.
“Who are you?” Law asks.
The stranger doesn’t speak. Instead he presses a button on the side of his helmet. digital lettering appears on it.
The letters “C-P” appear.
They disappear and the only thing left that shows up on the screen of the helmet is the number “0”
Law’s eyes get wide.
This person is a CP-0 agent.
Before Law could move, the agent is suddenly in front of him. They give him hard, rabid, fire punches to the chest.
Law spits out blood and he feels like his breath is being taken away again. This agent’s haki is the strongest thing he’s felt. It’s actually stronger than black beard’s
“Room!” Law yells and he telports away from the agent.
He’s standing on a tall boulder. He coats his sword in K-room and then makes it extend. The blade pierces through the agent, it’s harmless of course, but not the next attack.
“Shock Wille!”
The shock activates and travels from the sword to the stranger. After a few seconds, Law notices something that almost chills him to his core.
The shock isn’t working. The stranger isn’t reacting to it at all. He’s standing there unaffected. Law increases it’s power, but it still doesn’t work.
Law’s eyes go big when he sees a stretched out arm coming towards him.
The fist to that arm hits him square in the face. Law goes back far and hits a tree. When the dust and dirt clear, Law is panting and breathing heavily.
“What..what just happened?”
Before he could even get up, the stranger appears in front of him. He starts to walk over to Law and Law acting quickly uses his powers to lift up a big rock. He hits the stranger in the head with it, hoping it would knock him out.
But that doesn’t happened.
The person’s helmet only gets knocked off and falls to the ground. Law can finally see their face and when he does, he feels like he’s having a horrible nightmare.
The stranger has black wild hair, and under one of his eye is a crescent scar.
Law is almost speechless. This has to be some kind of horrible nightmare.
“L-Luffy?” He says.
The boy looks at him with question. “Luffy?” He questions.
“Luffy.” Law says and stands up. “It’s me-“
Law is cut off from Luffy quickly getting in front of him and punching him in the gut. Law gasps in pain and looks in horror as his skin starts to stretch back like rubber due to the punch. Luffy must have some of his nika powers activated.
Law then goes flying again and goes far enough to hit a mountain. A huge hole forms because of the impact.
Law pants while he coughs up more blood. He falls to the ground. While he’s on the ground, he hears soft footsteps. Luffy is in front of him again.
“Luffy..a-are you okay? What happened to you?”
Luffy doesn’t answer. He just gives a blank stare and gets closer to Law. He raises his foot over law’s head, like’s about to step on it.
Law closes his eyes, waiting for it to come.
But Luffy puts his foot down on the ground when he hears a ringing sound. He reaches into his pocket and takes out a white den den mushi with the number zero on the shell.
“Come back to the ship if you eliminated black beard. We have other important things to do. He is eliminated, right?”
“Yes.” Luffy says.
“Good, now report back to the ship and you can start your next mission.”
Luffy nods and puts away the snail. He looks back at Law, his eyes empty of any emotion. He walks away, leaving the injured surgeon by himself.
When he’s gone, Law stands up on shakey feet. He reaches into his pocket to take out his own den-den mushi.
After dialing a certain number, he waits for the other line to pick up.
“Hello.” A deep voice says.
Law coughs a little and tries to catch his breath before speaking.
“Zoro-ya. I..I found him. I found Luffy.”
