Chapter Text
when kissy and poppy finally found player and dogday in the employee only room (thanks to ollie), they immediately rushed over to check their condition. player, for the most part, seemed fine. they only had a few scratches and bruises, but luckily no open wounds. dogday, on the other hand, looked to be in the worst condition they had ever seen an alive toy ever be in.
the girls looked over dogdays injury's, and poppy noticed how poorly the bandages around his waist were done. it looked like someone had just thrown the bandages on him and called it a day.
'at least the wound isnt out in the open' she thought.
as she was checking for other wounds that would also need to be stitched up, a loud noise could be heard coming from the large toy. his stomach was erupting into loud growls of hunger. No wonder, though, he hadn't been fed in a few days after all.
poppy and kissy exchanged glances, and poppy looked around the room for any food to feed dogday with. behind her, she spotted the player's bag, and next to it was candy bars from the vending machines. it wasnt very nutritious, but it would have to do for now. she went over to pick one of them up, and silently apologized to the player for taking their things. she was sure they would understand though.
poppy went back to dogday, and positioned the candy above his forever open mouth. then dropped it in.
dogday immediately shot up from his sleep, choking on the candy that had hit the back of his throat. when he stopped choking, he recognized the sweet flavor of the old candy. dogday started chewing the food, savoring every last bit of his first meal in days. it was much more pleasant for him this way than having it dropped in his mouth.
after finishing the candy, dogday finally faced poppy with a irritated, yet grateful glare.
"hehe, sorry." she jokingly apologized.
dogday just huffed out a small chuckle of his own in response. "its fine, better than starving." he replied. dogday looked to his side, and saw his angel passed out on the floor next to him. his eyes softened a bit, and his features relaxed knowing that his savior was still safe.
"im gonna have to stitch up your wounds." poppy said, bringing dogdays attention back to her.
"okay," he replied. dogday was still exhausted, not getting much rest before poppy abruptly woke him up. he could feel kissy lift him up and put him on a chair, where he was positioned for poppy to easily have enough access to his entire lower half. dogday tried to stay awake, he really did. but eventually, sleep overtook his body. and before he knew it, he was once again dreaming away.
