Blake is feeding the twins in the guest room at the Xiao Long/Branwen/Rose household. Yang comes in with snacks for Blake, salmon on avocado toast. Blake's cravings for raw fish and meat is still very high, but she still can't partake because she's breastfeeding and Ashe is human. If they were both faunas it wouldn't be a big deal. Blake doesn't mind the sacrifice but it still sucks.
Yang goes to feed Blake a bite of toast "You don't have to feed me baby" she hums "But what if I want to? '' Yang retorts. Blake goes to argue but Yang shoves the piece in her mouth. The faunas whines cutely but takes the bite. It's really good. It's Ravens honey teriyaki salmon. Blake was very surprised when she first had Raven's cooking that the woman is very very adept at it, better than Summer honestly, her Forte is baking.
After Blake finishes the first piece Ashe finishes her meal as well, pushing away from Blake so she can be burped. Though the longer yang takes to take her she starts getting fussy "Hey hey there little one. I'm right here "Yang says as she puts down the plate to pick Ashe up and burp her. They found that if she gets too fussy her eyes will shift to violet instead of red, since her eyes are already that color. It's such a fun little quirk. "Just like her mama" Blake teases as Dusk soon finishes as well, though they just wait patiently, deep amber eyes looking up at Blake ”and Dusk is just like you" Yang says with a wink as Dusk lets out a dainty Lil burp while Ashe almost takes the house down "Definitely like you" Blake teases further as Yang comes to snuggle in the bed with her Lil family. Sighing deeply as she cuddles into Blake's shoulder
As Yang settles down the twins scoot as close as they can to each other, going to hold hands as they tend to do. Yang grins as she rubs Ashes back "I can't get over how cute these two are '' Yang coos as she rests her head on Blake's shoulder "me neither. It was worth all that hassle" she says with a wink. Each of the twins were 8 pounds each, Dusk on the bigger end. Yang smirks "I'm just glad it wasn't me. Cause wooof" she teases back "You're just glad you can't have kids at all" Blake says with a smirk "Very honestly. You're very strong for doing this at all. Accident or not'' she says kissing Blake "I was honestly so scared. Especially when I found out I was pregnant with twins. But all of you guys are amazing" she purrs, a big rumble erupting from her chest. Ashe tries to imitate, but all she does is babble, Dusk is already trying and kinda succeeding at little squeaky purrs, which hilariously annoys her twin. But thankfully Ashe doesn't get fussy, she just hides in her moms chest. "You two are too goofy " Yang coos as she boops Ashe’s nose, she puts her finger in her mouth. The little one loves putting her mouth on everything. That'll be something to correct later but for now it's cute "Just wait until she gets her teeth '' Blake warns "Hey at least they won't be kitten teeth like Dusk" Yang says gratefully "Actually they still could be. She is fuzzy even though she's human" Blake warns. Yang just looks at her "That's future Yangs problem" she says with a nervous laugh as they all nuzzle in for a little rest.
They all end up falling asleep at some point, only woken up when the babies start crying in unison. That causes Summer to rush in to try to lend a hand. But Yang is already up, changing the babies as Blake goes back to sleep “Hey mom” Yang says softly as she juggles Dusk as she changes Ashe. Best to get her changed lest she has a magnitude 10 tantrum. Once again, correctable behavior for future Yang. Summer smiles at Yang “Let me take Dusk and change her while you have Ashe” Yang smiles “Yeah, of course, she’s the easy one” she jokes as Summer goes to change the calmer child. “I’m glad you guys are around to see them” Yang says after a little while “After all you three have been through, you, dad and mama are still here and still together to see your grandchildren grow up” Yang has long known about Raven leaving, Summer almost dying before Yang was even born and Tai’s attempt at his own life when Raven left. “So am I sweetheart, I honestly didn’t think we would all be here to see if you would even find a partner, let alone several” she says with a wink “Well, I take after mom for sure” Yang smirks “And your dad, you know he kisses Qrow when no one is looking” the older woman teases. “Gods don’t make me barf” Yang groans as they both finish changing the babies. “Come, why don’t we have your dad watch them so you can get some rest, don’t act like you don’t need it” Summer says, giving Yang a little shove as she hugs Ashe to her, the little faunas wrapping her tail around her mom’s arm.
Summer and Yang head downstairs to go find Tai, he’s on the couch with Zwei cuddled next to him “Special delivery!” Yang announces. He gasps “I get to hold babies?” He asks very happily “You sure do!” Yang coos as her and Summer give Tai the twins “Oh helloooo you two!” he coos as he cuddles both babies. Yaang takes a picture to send around the polycule. The more baby pictures the better. Summer leans up to kiss Yang's forehead “Ok sweetheart, go rest with Blake, we’ll take it from here” she says softly. Yang nods as she goes to kiss and hug the babies “Have a great time with your grandparents” she hums before Summer shoos her away fully. Yang is so full of love, more love than she could ever imagine. So very thankful everything fell into place
