Summary:

A bunch of headcanons and self-proposed sciences of A/B/O in this particular universe.

Chapter 1: Alpha chapter

Chapter Text

In the “Mother Rick” universe, Alphas and Omegas are not an everyday occurrence, like in other universes. Instead, they are genetic anomalies that pop up randomly. A/B/O syndrome is a condition that causes men and women to carry and act more animalistically than the average man or woman. Anyone who has this condition is sometimes treated less than human. As such, an Alpha pops up every 10,000 births, while an Omega pops up every 300,000. Because of the imbalance, many Alphas form a pack bond and mate with one Omega.

Here are the conditions of an Alpha.

An Alpha, or those diagnosed with “A” syndrome, are normally male, with a few female Alphas popping up every six male Alphas. All Alphas carry excess aggression and sexual stamina, no matter the main gender. All Alphas have a thick, heavy knot, about the size of a grapefruit, and just as firm. Even the females.

Each Alpha, when in the process of mating, can release and special protein similar to a boar to solidify an amount of sperm, forming a gelatinous but firm plug, keeping their seed inside their Omega. The downside is that since the initial mating can hurt the Omega, the protein has a stinging agent that gives irritation to the Alpha, similar to the seconds-long effect of a UTI.

It isn’t uncommon that pack Alphas would turn their lusts towards each other, especially if their Omega has been injured. Normally, the Prime Alpha, which is either the strongest or oldest, will mount the younger/weaker Alpha. If there is a trusting and strong bond within the Alphas, then the mountings would be taken in turn.

Male Alphas are visibly bigger than their Omega counterparts, and even larger than the average human. They exude a presence that demands attention. They will use intimidation over brute strength to demand submission. Due to their size, they are also incredibly strong, and they have to be, to be able to carry and nurture not only the packs and the Omega, but the pups.

Female Alphas are similar. While they are not as large as their male, they are stronger and more muscular than their average women. Characteristically, female Alphas have small breasts and are at times a bit ruthless and sadistic to enemies against their Omega. The more brutal nature of female Alphas is due to their smaller size. Female Alphas are driven to fight harder to prove themselves as potential partners towards Omegas. Because of this, a female Alpha will resort to violence for submission, since their size is lacking for intimidation.

Now, despite what many think, Alphas are very hands-on with their pack pups. They will take turns cleaning and feeding while the Omega relaxes. While not able to produce milk, the Alphas would gently chew up food and trickle the mash into the mouths of their pups, normally fruits as it is a high-sugar food needed for A/B/O pups. If not feeding, the Alphas are playing and teaching the pups the basic instincts and manners of A/B/O.

Alphas will also do this if their Omega has been injured, or after the birth of their litter. When the Omega is injured, the nurturing instinct is rampant, causing the Alpha to unintentionally stress themselves to the point of exhaustion. This is another reason why an Omega will have multiple Alphas, as it allows the Alphas to share responsibility. If the Omega has been injured during mating, the Alpha will feed them by mouth, sometimes even giving liquids to the injured mate. They also keep a close eye on their Omega when this happens, as it is insanely easy for the Omega to starve and/or dehydrate.

On the dietary aspects of Alphas, Alphas will need to consume raw protein. The best case for that need is raw meat. Normally, the human body cannot digest or masticate raw meat as easily as cooked food. But Alphas don’t have such weak jaw muscles and stomach acids as the average person. With their jaw muscles four times stronger than average, and the acids in the gut system more powerful, an Alpha’s body can digest and process the raw proteins much more efficiently than the average man. The consumption of raw foods allows the Alpha to receive more energy from the food.

An Alpha's body has a higher metabolism than average. So high that in some cases, the said metabolism can turn deadly. The raw, untampered energy released from the consumption of raw meat helps stabilize the metabolism. Raw meat is also more nutritious, giving coarser protein and minerals that are needed in higher doses of raw meat than in cooked meat. However, due to the need for raw foods, An Alpha has a stronger, and more robust stomach acid. This also helps when, and it is when, an Alpha will consume food that can be toxic to those without the Strain.

One of the downsides to high metabolism is that if not having a steady input of high protein foods, the Alpha can get sick, and eventually starve. To keep up, An Alpha will eat almost anything. This is a highly good thing since Alphas do not carry the gene for having any type of food allergies. An Alpha will chew on bones for the extra calcium and eat the marrow of all their prey. They will also chew on bark, releasing fibers and sap for consumption, along with strengthening their digestion if chewing on plants with toxic sap.

Due to the highly animalistic nature of Alphas, the said Alpha can go feral. A feral Alpha relies on pure instinct, killing any Alpha that is not a Bond Brother, and secluding their chosen Omega far from any source of danger, regardless if the danger is real or not. When the Feral mindset kicks in, The Alpha will go into a hunting overdrive, killing anything that can be perceived as prey, from the smallest bird to the largest ungulate.

Outside of the norma of society, Alphas will hold no shame to public breedings, sometimes mounting their mate in front of an audience. A lot of the punishments to their Omega mates are public, and both Omega and Alpha are uncaring as people watch. This is due to the nature of pack mentality. Since the Omega is the heart of the pack, Alphas will feel the need to correct and help Omegas understand what they did wrong, whether it's withholding information, or doing something dangerous to themselves and the pack. However, even with the publically obvious submission and domination of the Omega, an Alpha will always hold their Omega in high regard, comforting their gentler mates after taking a punishment.

Now there are two types of traditions practiced by those with Alpha Strain. Traditional, and Modern.

Traditional Alpha would demand their Omegas to be bare, naked with only a few trinkets as cloths chosen by the Alpha. Most Traditional Alphas will have the Omega dressed in lace, scraps delicately covering the Omega’s small chest, tracing hips, and covering their groin, all while being easy access for breeding.

Traditional Alphas would place a collar of their choice around their Omega’s neck, sometimes a simple choker made of lace, other times a collar homemade with tough materials. Another way of marking, by more of the sadistic Alphas, is to pierce the Omega. A common piercing is one on the genitals, but nipple piercings are more common. Some of Alphas would brand their Omegas, whether with a hot iron, or a tattoo. While seen as needlessly cruel, the marks are always Omega’s choice. The marks are usually always a symbol of something personal and important to the Alpha.

Modern Alphas are different. A Modern Alpha will not mark their mate, rather, many will follow their Omega as, to them, they are the Prime of the Pack. They will dominate and subdue their mates if needed, but they always follow the Omega. Outside of their animalistic nature, a Modern Alpha will allow their mates to dress in clothes, mostly something slightly feminine to show off that their Omegas are wonderful mothers. The clothes usually are made of sturdy fabrics and in the style of skirts. Sometimes, the Alpha will have the Omega naked from the waist down, with either a long shirt or some sort of clothing from the Alpha covering the slim upper body of the Omega.

The final thing to point out to Alpha Strain is when there is more than one Alpha, a pecking order is made.

Normally, the Alpha Prime is the oldest Alpha. But sometimes it depends on strength. Or, if a more modern pack is appointed, the Prime is an Alpha who holds the most favor to the Omega. The Alphas will begin to preen to each other, showing off their prowess, and shortly have a mock fight, testing who is strongest. After the pecking order is made, the Prime Alpha will mount and mate with the submissive Alphas, knotting and gently holding them in their mouth by their scruff. Once the pecking order is formed, the Alphas will all share intimacy with each other in Rut, some even having Conjoined Ruts and end up playfighting and eventually breeding with each other. They will also turn to each other if their Omega is not in the mood for mating, or if the Omega is preoccupied with another mate
