“Tsukasa…kun?”
The young woman let go of her watering glass onto the floor, as she widened her eyes in awe. She couldn’t believe it. Was this even real…? Kadoya Tsukasa standing right in front of her? Yuusuke and Daiki heard a shattering sound from outside. They both went outside of Hikari Photo Studio to investigate what that noise was.
“Natsumi-chan are you a-”
His eyes grew big in shock. Yuusuke couldn’t believe it. He was almost in awe. How many years? Has it been since they last saw Tsukasa? 6 years? Maybe 4? Who knows.
He was home where he belonged.
“Yo. It’s been a while. Natsumi, Yuusuke, Kaitou.” Tsukasa waved.
Natsumi’s tears began to come down her cheeks, slowly. They weren’t sad tears.
They were tears of happiness.
“Is it really you…? Tsukasa-kun?” Natsumi says tearfully.
Tsukasa nodded, smiling.
Natsumi had so many tears coming down her face. But she smiles back. She ran into Tsukasa’s arms, making them both fall. Daiki and Yuusuke runs over to them. The girl cried in the man's arms.
It’s been five years. She’s waited for this day. They all did.
“It’s really you, huh, Tsukasa? I wouldn’t imagine this day would ever come.” Daiki said.
“All of us were waiting for this day.” Yuusuke replies as he wipes his tears away.
Tsukasa chuckles. He couldn't stop looking at the three of them. He was so happy to see them. Daiki and Yuusuke helped Natsumi and Tsukasa up from the ground. Yuusuke had the biggest smile on his face.
“Sorry for being away for so long.” Tsukasa apologized.
“You’ve been away for so long, idiot.” Daiki hit him on the shoulder.
Yuusuke notices small tears in Daiki’s eyes.
“Kaitou, are you crying??” Yuusuke asks.
“What? No. I don’t cry, what are you talking about?” Daiki turns away, wiping off his tears from his face.
“Same old Kaitou. You’re not honest, aren’t you?” Yuusuke says.
Natsumi laughs as well as Tsukasa did. It was like the good old days. When everything didn’t fall apart. Tsukasa can remember when he was dying in Natsumi’s arms. Time ticked as his life was running out.
And to this day she still regrets it… But she didn’t have any choice. Waves of that memory flashed into her head. It was awful. Now she wanted to cherish this moment forever.
He was home.
“Natsumikan. Yuusuke. Kaitou.”
All three looked at Tsukasa. He smiled once more. Tsukasa holds them all close and hugs them tight. Natsumi doesn’t remember the last time she felt Tsukasa hug her. Or even Yuusuke and Daiki. It felt. Warm…
“I’m home.”
Natsumi and Yusuke smiled with tears in their eyes. While Daiki was trying to hold his tears back.
“Welcome home, Tsukasa.”
