“Miiiiistress it’s laaaate. I wanna sleep. I’m tiiiiiiired.” I curled up around the vines of Mistress. It was dark and scary out, not even the moon was shining down. The only light source I had was the gentle glow of Mistress’s comfy pretty core.
“You aren’t tired, little petal. I know you aren’t, I gave you Class-Z0s and your heart rate shows they are full effect.” Mistress gently scratched under my chin as I mewled. It wasn’t fair how she got to know everything about me cause of spine friend. But she was really nice, so she got a pass.
I crawled up closer to her chest, listening closely to the dull thump of her core. “Yeah, but sleeping is fun… I gets to be all cuddly and cozy in your vines… Where are we going anyways?”
“I told you, petal! It’s a surprise~”
Mistress was taking me up really high for some reason. Luckily, Terra was much nicer now after all the pretty plant sophonts came in and fixed us Terrans. They even fixed me! I used to be a really bad egg but now I was the happiest, prettiest girl I could ever be! Mistress even said so! She came to the planet to help clean up and help us all be good and sweet and stuff. Mistress is the greatest.
“Not much longer now, petal! Close your eyes now, ok?” Her vines drifted over my eyes and guided them shut. She was so soft and kind and caring and stuff.
“Yes Mistress!” I happily kept my eyes closed as she held me out in her vines. Listening in I could hear all the sounds of wildlife and wonder around me. A gentle breeze moved past my ears and face, cool and refreshing as it made my nose twitch a bit. The smell of pine trees and moss hung in the air, petrichor scenting the entire environment as the rainwater slowly slid away along the ground. The quiet songs of crickets and frogs moving and calling for their friends filled my ears as Mistress moved along, the calming sounds of her vines rustling through the grass, underbrush, and branches.
It was very pretty and nice to be around and exist after getting rid of the dirty capitalism and gunk that polluted everywhere like Mistress and the affini said they would. Nature was almost as good as Mistress! A very close second to everything she does, did, and could do.
Mistress set me down on a spongy patch of moss. I could feel the cool ground under me as I wiggled my toes into it. “Ok petal, open your eyes! I think you’ll really like this.”
“Ok Mistress, this better be good.” I opened my eyes slowly and looked down over the landscape. Mistress had brought me up to the top of a mountain, hundreds of feet above civilization. Miles upon miles of forest stretched out underneath me in the darkness. Far off in the distance, I could see the vaguest edge of the city me and Mistress live in, so far away on the horizon. It was majestic and awe inspiring, much like Mistress. I stood and watched as best as I could as the wind glided across the treetops.
“Wow Mistress… This is really pretty. But it is really hard to see. Wouldn't it have been better to come during the day?”
“Oh you sweet little floret, you’re supposed to look up .” Mistress ran her vines under my chin and tipped my face upwards, towards the sky.
My eyes grew wide with wonder. The sky above was painted with vibrant colors and speckled with tiny brilliant dots. Each miniscule spec glimmered with mystery and excitement, splattered across the whole canvas. Strokes of all colors shimmered across the blackness, dancing like ribbons in the wind. The dark moon carved out a piece of its own in the sky, a black void bereft of color sitting motionless around all the colors. The words of old scholars and poets finally made sense to me as I looked upon the night sky, seeing what they saw all those centuries ago.
I was overwhelmed. Mistress and the other affini cleaned up our planet, saved it from the very brink, just to show us sights like this. I stumbled, losing my footing before I was caught in the vines of my Mistress before I could fall to the ground. Tears ran down my face, feelings of happiness and awe flowing out as I wiggled and flapped my arms.
“Do you like what you see petal? I wanted to show you the results of all our efforts these last few years. What your planet should look like. And there it is. The constellations and galaxies have been put back into your night sky, where they should have never left.” She wrapped around my arms, pulling me close into her body as I snuggled up close to her body.
“It was really good Mistress… It’s my second favorite thing now. It’s really pretty!!” I let out a breath of energy as I let my body relax. “Hey Mistress?”
“Yes petal?”
“The night sky and all that stuff up there is almost as pretty as you!” I kissed and nuzzled into Mistress, giggling with glee.
“Oh you~ such a charmer.” She stroked her vines down my hair and chest as I squirmed in her vines. “Now, what would you do if I said I could allow you to experience this allll over again for the first time? Would you take it?”
“Yes Mistress!” I started to bounce happily in her vines. “That would be amazing!”
Mistress giggled as she held me even closer. “I’ll never get tired of your reaction to this. This was the fifth time in a row we’ve done this and you’re just so so so cute everytime!” She nuzzled her face into my head, slipping a needle into my belly with a light pinch. “Are you ready for the sixth?”
“Yessss Mistresssss…” I woozily smiled as my body drifted off to sleep, forgetting the night to experience it all over again tomorrow.
