Chapter Text
Felix cousin goes to the same college and hangs around his group of friends. She catches the interest of Oliver whilst she is the group outside his dorm window.
Amelia huffed as she lugged her suitcase behind her, although it was a Louis Vuitton gifted by her father, it was the only really rich thing she has on her. She spotted Felix across the courtyard with a bunch of other people around her age. She recognised Farleigh from afar, at least she knew too people in this huge place.
"Hey Amelia! You're here!" Felix laughed and scooping her up in a hug.
"Yeah, I did, you're right this is not so bad" Amelia chuckled, she smiled awaited eagerly for Felix to introduce her to hopefully her new friends also.
Later On that evening at dinner in the grand hall. Amelia was bombarded with questions about her life from her new found friends with Felix "Are you a Virgin? Are you actually like smart? What music are you into? Do you have a boyfriend? etc. She bursted like a chatterbox about her life to them and they ate it right up, laughing at her jokes and silly remarks of the new commers.
She looked up from her plate and looked around the room and saw one sheepishly look lad wearing the Oxford University Formal Uniform. His eyes piercingly blue and his glasses circling around them. He looked around for a seat to sit in and he caught her stare. Amelia snapped back to face in front of her and joined into the current conversation. Until she heard
"GO ON ASK ME A SUM THEN" A nerdy runt yelled at the top of his lungs which caught the attention of everyone's heads staring at where the fuck the noise was coming from and was there going to be a fight soon.
Amelia, Felix and Farleigh with their group laughed and went back to their conversation once again.
The regular gang would meet up at the local pub nearby after classes were done they would meet up. Amelia was stuck on her laptop in the library not keeping up with the time engrossed in her essay writing.
"Oh Fuck!" She sighed catching the attention of people closest to here.
Two sheepish boys Micheal and Oliver were studying as they caught her scrambling to gather all of her things. Oliver's eyes skimmed over every inch of her being like he was drinking her in like water. Until Micheal's whining voice sounded next to him as he watched her walk away.
"Well I bet you she will be mine by the end of the term" Micheal smirked
"Yeah, no I don't think she will be interested" Oliver was quick to dismiss him.
"Well I don't see you going for it" He leaned back in his chair.
"Girls don't like people like us, It's just a fact" Oliver sighed
"Thats because you're not dreaming big enough" Micheal laughed. "Come on, I'm done here off to the pub?"
Micheal was right maybe Oliver was not dreaming big enough. Oliver nodded and followed him.
Amelia sat comfortable next to Farleigh and Felix laughing along with the rest of the groups gossip on campus.
"You know, funny thing today I got flat on my way to my tutorial which I was already late for" Felix chuckled, running a hand through his hair. "This small guy Oliver gave his bike to ride to my lesson and brought back my bike campus. And it got me thinking that there are genuinely nice people out there" Felix took a sip off his pint and inhaled his already half gone cigarette.
Farleigh blew the drag of his cigarette out and laughed "Loners will do anything to the attention of a cute boy, isn't that right Amelia?"
Amelia sigh and put her hands up playing along with Farleigh "Okay, okay, that was one summer and I learnt from my lesson"
Felix interrupted" You really are a gossipy bitch Farleigh"
"Oooooh" The group chuckled at Felix's remark.
Felix tuned out off their conversation as they continued, he recognised someone that had just walked up to the bar getting a drink. The dude from before with the bike!
"HEY OLLIE!" Felix shouted out.
All of our heads snapped to the sheepish looking boy Felix was waving over too and getting him to come over to his table.
Round after round, Amelia started to feel warm and fuzzy. Her body becoming more comfortable with the people around the table. She kept glancing over at Oliver, he looked different with his glasses off and she could she a glint of a sliver necklace below his collared shirt. Oliver caught he gaze and kept her there while the group was laughing over something Felix had said.
Farleigh point at Olvier" Hey it's your round man"
Oliver shakes his head tapping the table "I should go to bed"
The group starts to boo Oliver at his response.
"No no no no no, you can't snake your way out of a round" Farleigh said
"I.. I'm not" Olivier shakes his head.
"It's looks like you are" Farleigh smirks
Oliver sighs from his lips and the boos grow louder and louder. He looks to Felix then at me and admits defeat.
"Okay, Okay" He says as he gets up from the table and walks over to the bar.
Amelia pipes up "Farleigh..."
"Just cut him a break, that round is going to cost him a fortune" Felix added
Farleigh blows a stream of smoke "What? It's pub rules Felix"
I glance over to Oliver fiddling with change from his wallet and searching all of his pockets for something to make up the difference. I frowned.
"You should go help him Felix. I mean he did help you after all" Amelia sighed.
Felix got up and walked over to the bar. He interjected Oliver's pleading with the bartender and handed a note Oliver. Felix starts to carry the drinks over while Felix pays.
"Thankyou Ollie!" Felix shouts as he walks over back to the group almost spilling the drinks over. The group starts thank Ollie and shout out his name in a chant to which Oliver blushed as he sat back down. Farleigh looking defeated as everyone takes their shots.
