Chapter Text
“Ugh, my head.” there was a dull pain in the back of his head from the - ‘what was it again?’ He couldn’t remember what had happened.
Slowly he opened his eyes and looked around. He was in a room with washed out white lights and there was an IV stuck on his arm. “Huh!” He immediately sat up and his whole body protested “OUCH!” He screamed in pain and twisted in agony.
“Eeee, why do I always do that” He shivered as he settled down and looked around the empty room. There was some medical equipment that he recognized and some that seemed a bit odd.
“Hmm.” He scratched the back of his head as he tried to remember what happened but he was met with a sharp pain in the back of his head. “Ngh! That hurts! That hurts.” He covered his head and squirmed on the bed.
The door opened and a woman with shoulder length brown hair came in. “You’re up.” She stated, she sounded surprised.
“Huh?” “I didn’t think you would wake up for a few more weeks. But your body is also healing extremely quickly.” She muttered the last bit to herself.
“So tell me kid, what’s your name? We can’t keep calling you John Doe.”
“Who’s John Doe?”
“Well, no one. That’s just what we have been calling you.”
Why?”
“Well… because you didn’t have an ID and we found you unconscious.”
“Huh? But why call me John Doe?”
“It’s a placeholder for your name until we can identify you.”
“Oh, okay. You’re weird lady. Anyway I’m… I” He paused for a moment and thought before snapping his fingers. “Hokage! Yeah, My dream is to be Hokage!”
“But my name… Is Na- Naruto, Yeah, My name is Naruto and my dream is to be Hokage!”
“Can’t believe I almost forgot! Imagine that!” He laughed as he fell back into the bed. “Anyway, where am I?” He looked around the room.
The woman sighed as she leaned against the wall and sighed. “You are in a hospital, My name is Shoko. I’m the doctor that’s been tending to you.” She says as she pulled out a pack of cigarettes.
Naruto frowned slightly. “Doctor? Hmm, Doctor… I feel like I’m missing something.” He mutters to himself as he rubs his temple. “Then I can go now, right!” He immediately stands up and stretches. Wincing and groaning at the pain in his muscles.
“Nothings broken, no cuts, fractures or internal bleeding?” he asks as he tests out his limbs. “Well no, but you still have a head injury and concussion. Observation-”
“Wouldn’t granny be here if it was something serious?” He asked. “Wait… who’s granny again.” Naruto scratches his head as he tries to remember who he was referring to.
“You’ve got to be shitting me.” The woman grumbles as she straightens up. “Okay kid, before you try to leave let’s make sure you are alright in the head.”

A few hours prior
“So this rift, are you sure it isn’t a womb?” Gojo asks as he leans back in his seat. Scrolling on his phone.
Ichiji glances at Gojo through the rear view mirror nervously before responding. “It could be, but because of the location. The Sessho-seki ‘killing stone’ seal could be broken. So they called you in G-Gojo-sama.” He responded.
“Hmmm, The Sessho-seki, Do you think the legend of the Nine tailed fox is real? And what is the difference between a curse and a spirit? It’s probably similar terminology used differently.” Gojo shrugged as he read through an article of the history of the nine tailed fox.
“It’s been sealed away for over 900 years according to public records. But that was just a seal adjustment. It has been sealed away for much longer than that. There are currently no records of the amount of time it has been sealed. Just a vague idea of what is inside and a time frame of the last time the seal was tampered with” Ichiji stated and Gojo sighed as he continued to scroll aimlessly.
“So we can’t really trust the information that’s online or that we have been told.” Gojo comments while reading some parts that spoke of the different versions of the myths about the ‘killing stone’.
Ichiji glanced at him once more as they pulled into a parking lot near the volcanic mountains of nasu.
Gojo was quick and headed off to the location of the stone. There were already other personnel there setting up barriers and measuring the curse energy coming from the area. Surprisingly there wasn’t any.
There was a heavy oppressive energy flooding the area. But it wasn’t cursed energy. Now he understood why they’d called it an abnormality and hadn’t labeled it a cursed womb.
Positive and Negative cursed energy, He was familiar with it and could use it with such proficiency that he could heal himself from almost fatal injuries, cursed energy itself was all around them inside of sorcerers.
He could see it as clear as day as well with his Six eyes. But he was sure of it, what he was seeing, sensing and feeling was not cursed energy.
It was lighter, flowed smoother, and seemed to make his senses calm down. He could see the unknown energy pacify the cursed energy around him.
This was odd. Gojo lifted his bandages so that he could see better. He had to blink a couple of times so that his eyes could adjust to the soft glowing light around him. In places where there were high level curses there was always a heavy aura, but here it seemed lighter.
“Do you guys have a curtain setup?” Gojo asked as he looked around, noticing that Ichiji was hurrying behind him with a suitcase in hand. “Yes, I’m being told that they just finished setting it up. This should be enough that the town nearby won’t notice.”
“This isn’t… how should I put it.” Gojo smiled in delight as he looked around. “Cursed energy per say. There might be a small chance that the curtain won’t work, but maybe it will!~ Who knows. So make sure to send out an evacuation warning just in case things go sideways.” Gojo grinned and Ichiji went pale and fumbled with his phone in order to make the necessary phone calls.
Gojo continued onward with a more serious expression as he got close to the Killing Stone. It was just a giant rock with a rope hanging around it. Well at least to a normal person. To a sorcerer it was a rock with a seal, emitting a strong, heavy presence that was suffocating. To Gojo it was a cluster of energy being held together by a sealing rope.
It was different shades of gold, orange and red whirling in a spiral. There were wisps of blue energy that sparked out of the sides like sparks that fizzed out and dissipated into the air. It was what was making the air feel so refreshing yet heavy.
Gojo pulled out his smartphone and took a photo and stared at it. A normal rock the same rock he had seen in the various articles he had googled. The ‘Infamous Killing Stone that contained a 9 tailed fox spirit.’ nothing else, no wisps of blue energy or anything otherworldly. Making him realize it was only something the six eyes could see, it was just a normal stone with a rope hanging around it to everyone else.
Gojo was only a few meters away when the energy of the stone began to fluctuate wildy. The rope began to stretch and yank around as it the rock it self began to move outwards as if something was inside it moving.
The sorcerers who had only arrived there to set up the curtain backed away and prepared to see what was going to happen. Ichiji was behind Gojo watching nervously as the Stone began to emit shockwaves that pushed back some of the few weaker sorcerers.
“Seems like whatever it is, has woken up.” Gojo smirked. “Get everyone out of here. No point in casualties.” Gojo states as he decides that he is about to figure out what the killing stone really is.
‘A new type of curse spirit? With a new set of abilities? The Killing stone probably dates back to the Heian Era. There are legends of the nine tailed fox, but the story is from 900 years ago and doesn’t meet the correct time frame. So who knows what we are dealing with’
The closer Gojo got the heavier the Aura became. Despite having his infinite on it was a weird experience to him as well. To feel something besides Cursed Energy. When he was only a few feet away that was when the stone split in half.
The rope ripped in two and fell to the ground. The energy blast that bellowed through the clearing shook the trees and ground. Gojo was taken back, The burst of energy blinding him for a few seconds. But when he opened his eyes again he was shocked at what he saw.
Small sapling trees and grass had grown in the clearing, where there had only been jagged stone and grey ash and two monument stones to declare it the killing stone, long grass had grown, and small native wildflowers had bloomed. Laying against the stone was a Blond haired 16-year-old boy with an orange jumpsuit. He had three birthmarks on his face that kind of looked like whisker marks and wore a headband.
“What just happened?”
