This day is just like any other, they thought. There was something slightly different, by the way Aren and Kaidou were being more touchy, the way they bickered a little bit too much and the way they looked at each other. It wasn't just Saiki that noticed this, but Teruhashi, Chiyo, Aiura, Hairo and Imu too.
"Hey, Kaidou-kun?" Teruhashi called out, making the blue-haired boy look at her direction. "Yes, Teruhashi-san?" he answered, tone neutral. Usually, Kaidou would be talking to her with a kind of lovesick tone.
"How are things going with you and Kuboyasu-kun?" she asked, her signature smile visible on her face. A shade of red appeared on his cheeks for a moment, before it disappeared as quickly as it came. He cleared his throat before speaking. "It's fine, we've been doing well. You know, the usual. Why do you ask?"
Despite always putting up a calm façade, the blue-haired girl was panicking in the inside. She chuckled lightly, "Nothing, nothing. It's just you seem closer than usual, you know?" She smiled a bit wider upon seeing the other's flustered face. "I . . ." he trailed off, not knowing what to say. Teruhashi nodded, "I understand, could you meet me at the rooftop at lunch? We can clear things up later." and with that, the conversation ended.
Teruhashi had walked off to her seat, leaving Kaidou standing there with his thoughts. How could she have found out about his and Aren's relationship already? Was she a mind reader? He sighed deeply, whatever.

It was now lunchtime, and Kaidou was standing there, waiting. He was busy admiring the sky to notice that Teruhashi had arrived, though she was slightly sweaty. "I apologise for being late." she said, trying to sound calm. But Kaidou knows that she was slowly trying to catch her breath.
"It's all right, Teruhashi-san." he brushed it off, smiling softly at her. A few moments of silence passed between them, only the ruffling of Teruhashi's clothes being the only sound. After a while, the girl breathes out a sigh of relief.
"Kaidou-kun," she called out, the boy turned his attention to her, watching as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "you wouldn't happen to be dating Kuboyasu-kun, would you?" Kaidou froze upon hearing the question, he prepared himself for this, but the question in real life was world-shaking.
He looked at the girl in front of him, who was smiling innocently at him. He grinned nervously, "What makes you say that?" he asked, almost stuttering. Teruhashi smiled a bit wider, "You two weren't really trying hard enough to cover it up. But it's all right, that was how Aiura-san and Chiyo-san were acting when they first got together." she chuckled lightly.
"I would say the same for you and Imu." he mumbled, thinking that the girl wouldn't hear him. "Well, it looks like you found us out, congrats on being the fifth to know, Teruhashi-san." he put his hand out, but quickly retrieved it when the other went pale. Fifth!? And here I thought I was the first one to know! she thought, but quickly brushed it off.
"Yes, thank you!" she exclaimed, quickly grabbing the boy's hand from his side to shake hands. "I think we should get back, we don't want the others to worry, right?" she winked at him, which made the boy blush slightly.
"Y-yeah, right. Let's go."

"Hello everyone, sorry we're late. We just discussed something for our upcoming project." Teruhashi reasoned then sat beside Imu, kissing her forehead. Kaidou wonders about how quickly she came up with an excuse to cover it up.
"Hey, Shun, I got my mom to cook us some salami for today's lunch. You can have all of them if you like though." Aren said, pushing the salami in front of the blue-haired. "Ooohh! Thanks, Aren!" he beamed, and it took all of his self-restraint to hold back from kissing the former delinquent. The said man smiled softly while watching him eat.
Aiura snickered at the sight, earning a playful slap on the arm from Chiyo, who was holding back a laugh. What a pain. These idiots cannot keep a secret to save their lives. Saiki thought, but there was a small smile on his face.
