Loud sips of ice milk tea with tapioca pearl interrupted as Luce has stare down at Fon who made a point to stare back at her. He even left his mapo tofu that Hibari bought over as emotional support on the picnic cloth, untouched. Fon dared her to speak--to even address the elephant in the room. Luce, the only person that can go against the Hibaris unscathed and even win out of any fights with them, not only addressed that elephant but even dressed it up like it was Dumbo the Elephant.
"You have a crush on someone who is in the same class as you, who--quote unquote--has the rizz akin to the silkiest tofu in all mapo tofu history."
Fon groaned loudly as I-pin and Verde snorted their milk tea out of their nose, and broke the eye contact. He flopped over and landed on Hibari's lap, turning around so he could bury his face into his stomach despite the jab his younger brother gave him and the harsh tug of his shirt from Luce. "Oh come on--Fon!!"
He's dead. He hath ceased to exist. Goodbye cruel world.
"Stop being so dramatic!! It's just a crush! It's not like you never had one before." Luce grumbled as she tug harder, definitely deforming his button down and choking him to death. She was very persistent, more than Hibari who already gave up on pushing his elder brother off of him. Fon resigned to it, ignored the chortles in the background and let himself get tug to the ground and turned around to look at Luce.
"Case in point, Luce-san, Master only had one crush, and it was on Riichi." I-pin chokes out as she straightened up from the ball that she was a second ago, still snickering and snorting out milk tea. Verde was dead already.
"And Riichi is a monke--" I-pin snorted again.
Fon contemplated whether to add more movesets into I-pin's training regimen. Luce pointedly ignore the girl and tugged at Fon's already deformed clothes again to get his attention, shuffling from her spot nearer so she could pat his face. "It's not the end of the world, baby. Come on--" She singlehandedly pulled him up to sitting position as he begrudgingly let her manhandle him.
He looked at her sparkling eyes and knew immediately what she wanted to ask. "No--" "So who is it?"
Fon groaned again. Luce pouted. "If you don't want to tell me, fine. I'll find it out myself." She let go of him as he flopped back to the ground, and pulled out her vibrating phone. He didn't know what she was looking at, but it was definitely not something good. "The things I do for you," She tsked, the familiar pings of transactions approved was deafening in his ears. Oh--he definitely know who she was talking to.
Her eyes widened.
Fuck.
"Luce NO--" "YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON REBORN!??"
Verde revived in the background.
Fon himself died again.

Alaude gave Reborn a disgusted look as he read his flirtatious text to his cousin. "I did not want to see this, Reborn."
"No one asked you to."
"You don't have the rizz."
"Neither do you since you can't even fish up Ricardo. Now shut up and help me think of an outfit to impress your cousin."
Alaude gave him a stink eye for that. It was a low blow. Everyone knew that Alaude was wooing Ricardo, Tsuna's distant cousin and Xanxus' elder brother. It was so obvious that the only thing he hasn't done was vocalise his undying devotion to the man, but boy, Ricardo was damn dense. He simply thought that Alaude was being nice to him for the sake of it and wouldn't believe anyone who said otherwise. It sucks, big time, but Alaude found it endearing. Even if its very frustrating. (Speaking of Ricardo, Alaude made a note to himself to call the man for a date tomorrow).
"I'll put in good words for you." Reborn offered, like it was something Alaude needed. (Maybe it was...)
Alaude sighed.
"Drop that purple pink cardigan. It's fucking ugly."
On Thursday, Fon scheduled a meeting (date) in a cozy cafe that sells good tea and coffee (in his minimal opinion) that's located in a more secluded side of the university town (because he didn't want either of them to be interrupted by anyone they know). He arrived an hour earlier since he was free and had no classes, and chilled around while working on his assignment for the History of China class he took up on a whim. He made good progress--the cafe always trigger his work mode like magic--and it took his nerves away from meeting Reborn--...
Scratch that.
His legs were vibrating, his hands were clammy as he typed on his keyboard, and he was constantly looking at the time and up to the door to see if Reborn has arrived even though he knew the other man had classes before their meeting. He only managed to finish the introduction of his report before he switched onto discord to scream at his friends.

"Hey," Reborn greeted with a smile as he pulled the chair opposite of Fon out from under the table and sat down, his messenger bag placed on the chair next to him. Fon twitched out of his shock state, and hastily gave Reborn an unsure smile.
"Hey." He greeted back. "I've ordered an espresso for you--hope you don't mind--and I asked the waiter to send it once you're here so let me just--" He raised his hand up and nodded at the waiter.
Reborn would've swooned (his crush!! Buying espresso for him!!!) if he weren't busy staring at Fon's biceps. It wasn't that he had never seen the other in tight shirts before, of course not. The red sweater he wore that one time had hug his frame loosely, yet showed how muscular he was underneath them. Now, though? Reborn swore that dark marroon short-sleeved button down he was wearing would absolutely kill him.
He stared as the muscle ripple when Fon put down his hand, and for a moment he didn't know if he wanted to bite into them or have them choking him.
"Uh, Reborn?" Fon waved at him hesitantly and broke him out of his reverie. "Are you okay there?"
Reborn coughed once to mask his embarassment and nodded. "Yep. Thank you for the espresso. I really appreciate it." He paused, and added. "Really, really. Appreciate it. Espresso is my life."
Fon chuckled--and by gods, those were the most angelic sound Reborn had ever heard in his life--and nodded. "I can see that since, well, it's in your discord ID. I don't want to die after all."
Oh.
Reborn ignored the waiter that delivered the espresso to their table and leaned against it with his elbows, chin leaning against his fist. "I'd kill everyone in this world for espresso except for you--you're my espresso."
Fon instantly turned red. The waiter that was leaving stumbled before running off.
The sound that left Fon's throat was absolutely cute.
