Frantic knocks on your front door ripped your attention away from the movie in front of you.
Confused, you furrowed your brow, slowly standing up and making your way through the hallway. The knocks growing more frantic, basically pounding on your door now.
With ragged breath you sneaked your way as close to the door as you could manage, peeking through the small hole to see what was going on. A frustrated breath left your lips when you realize that whoever was standing in front of your door was blocking your only chance of recognizing them.
"Who's there?"
Your voice trembled as you called out and the pounding stopped.
"Sweetheart, it's me, please open the door for me my love."
The smooth accented voice of Wanda made you pause. It was almost two in the morning, what the hell was she doing here?
An uneasy feeling washed over you and you felt the hair at the back of your neck stand up.
Slowly, ever so slowly you moved your hand to the door handle, trembling as you pushed down the cold metal.
Something was wrong, seriously wro-
You had to supress a shocked yelp when Wanda slipped past you into the hallway and you took in her disheveled form.
Dried blood was caked to her face, covering almost half of it, along with her clothes. The gasp that left your lips at the sight made her turn to you and you felt your blood run cold with the way her eyes glimmered.
"Wanda? What happened to you- Are you hurt?"
Quickly you're by her side, inspecting her face, turning it from side to side but not finding any injuries that could explain the blood. Every touch turned more and more frantic as you desperately tried to find the source of the nightmarish sight in front of you.
The redheads cold, bloodied hands grasped yours and you finally looked up at her, tears streaming down your face that you hadn't even realized were gathering there.
"Calm down detka, none of this is my blood."
Her words calmed you down momentarily before even more questions made your tears well up again and you squeezed her hands in yours.
"What happened Wanda, what did y-"
She cut you off with a soft kiss against your frantic lips and your brows furrowed at the action.
So many questions were going round in your head that you could not decide what to ask her first. But the redhead gave you the answer without you having to ask at all.
"Oh my love, I simply protected what was rightfully mine."
Soft hands cradled your face and you held on to her wrists in desperation.
"What do you mean you protected? What did you- Who did you protect me from? I'm so confused Wanda what's going on?"
Desperation laced every word and you couldn't help but sink into the touch on your face, despite the circumstances it still calmed you to have her hold you like this and you mentally cursed yourself for it.
As the metallic smell of blood hit your nose you searched her eyes again, the dark glint you saw there earlier made way to the soft look she usually had when she looked at you and your shoulders sank slightly.
"I told you I would take care of them malyshka. They wont get close to you again, in fact they wont be able to get close to anyone at all anymore."
The realization made your breath catch in your throat and your eyes widen.
"You killed them?"
Your throat stung, suddenly dry and your voice was rough and high pitched. Fear wrote itself all over your face but Wanda simply moved closer, embracing you.
"Shhh sweet girl. It was for the best, don't worry your pretty little head around it."
Her body so close to you and her lulling words in your ear made your trembling hands still as they came to rest on her back.
"That's it detka, take a deep breath for me."
And you did, the gravity of the situation weighting heavily on you but you forced your head up, searching her gaze.
"Wanda what were you thinking, what if someone saw you, what if-"
The older woman pressed a finger to your lips to still your rambling.
"Didn't i just tell you not to worry? I took care of it pretty girl, that's all you have to know."
Suddenly her lips were back on yours, the taste of the blood and your tears mixing as your mouths moved against each other.
You felt your knees buckle and as you both sank to the floor, lips still intertwined you felt as though your body was flying away. High on the metallic taste on your tongue that had a very twisted part of your mind going absolutely feral.
Wanda had killed for you.
And right now, as her tongue slipped into your mouth, you couldn't bring yourself to care a single bit.
