Kanji sighed leaving the TV world. It'd been a long day, fighting hard to save Naoto. Dude had to go and get himself kidnapped, huh? As he was preparing to leave Junes, a voice called to him.
"Hey, Kanji, wait up a minute." Yosuke told him.
"Uh, sure Senpai."
"I need to talk to you. Do you mind?" Yosuke asked.
"No problem. What's up, Senpai?" Kanji questioned.
"I… dude, I just wanted to apologize for being such a dick before, is all."
"It's alright, Senpai. Why now?"
Yosuke bit his lip uncomfortably as he tried to answer. "Well I… I wanted to make amends, you know? It's been a long time coming and… I guess I was jealous of you."
Kanji's eyes widened in shock. "You were jealous? Of me? Why?"
"Well you were…" Yosuke paused. "You were free to be yourself. You didn't care how others saw you, in all honesty, I wish I could do that."
Kanji thought for a second. "You like some guy, don't ya? Is it Yu-senpai?"
"Wha- what?" Yosuke stuttered nervously. "What makes you say that?"
"Well you always teased me for likin' dudes. So y'know, if you were jealous it only figures you'd tease me about it." Kanji answered. "Was I right?"
"Yeah, but- ugh… that's not the point!" Yosuke huffed, frustrated.
Kanji chuckled. "Senpai, look, 's okay. I don't care who you like, so long as you're happy. Y'know? We're friends after all. And aren't teammates meant to look after each other?"
Yosuke considered his next words carefully. "I'm really sorry for making you uncomfortable before. I'll make it up to you, I swear."
"Ain't no need to apologize, Senpai. Just do better going forward, right? That's what ma always told me."
Yosuke smiled. "Thanks Kanji. I appreciate it."
"No problem. We're cool now. We bros?" Kanji held out his hand, prepared for a fist bump.
"For life." Yosuke responded, returning the gesture with a grin.
