The Kim Family Line

Summary:

There was the whole issue of the outside world vs the church, Seokjin throughly believed everyone outside were sheep going to hell. Thats what he would tell the kids and of course they believed him, why would their father lie to them? But of course they were curious, they had questions.

‘Where are the cars going?’ ‘How comes papa can go outside but we cant?’ ‘Whats down the road?’ Jungkook tried his best to just answer them, he was worried that they would try to find out themselves if they were curious enough.

Chapter Text

-15 years later-

Jungkooks day started at six AM, specially because thats when his youngest got up. Eunchae crawled in between his arms, waking him up but making herself at home. Jungkook wouldn’t mind, but she /always/ had to pee first thing in the morning.

He’d learnt the hard way, several times, to get up and take her straight away. Then he was awake, no point in going back to sleep now, he’d crack his bones, brush his teeth, kiss her on the forehead, “Go wake up your siblings”

Slowly he would make his way downstairs, theres still an unpatched dent in the wall where he fell all those years ago. He would only make the adults breakfast first, with eight children, it was impossible to fit them around the table.

So they ate in the church where all the other members ate, it wasn’t ideal but its the best they could do. Hoseok would be up next, usually with one of the babies wrapped around him. Of course none of them weren’t actually babies anymore, but in Jungkooks eyes they always would be.

“Good morning dad” Chaewon yawned, she nuzzled her head into the back of Jungkooks neck. “Good morning baby, where is Zuha?” He asked, she let out a groan, shrugging her shoulders. Soon she would turn 16, Jungkook prayed her puberty wouldn’t be like the boys.

Speaking of, he could hear them clanging upstairs, hoping Seokjin wouldn’t wake. The aloha always got grumpy when he woke because of the babies noise. Yeonjun flew down the stairs, instantly being told of by Hoseok.

Jungkook dished out Seokjins, Yoongis, Hoseoks and his own breakfast. Beomgyu complained about Soobins snoring, every single morning had to have some kind of silly bickering. “He also grinds his teeth, its so gross” Yeonjun shuddered.

Their sleeping arrangements weren’t ideal, the three older boys, Yeonjun, Beomgyu and Soobin, all shared a room. Then the other twins, Taehyung and Heuning Kai shared a room, the younger girls, Chaewon, Kazuha and Eunchae all shared a room.

Jungkook slept in the main bedroom with the door along with the other adults. The big bed was great hir he misses the days of sleeping by himself. Somedays that was the only chance he got to sit with his own thoughts, nowadays he didn’t get that privilege.

“Go and /nicely/ wake papa and daddy up please” He pat Eunchaes back, watching her run off upstairs. The babies crowded around the TV, they had collectively begged for one a couple christmas’ ago. So Seokjin allowed them one, but they were only allowed to watch DVDs that he had selected.

“Play homeward bound!” Kazuha said, reaching for the disk, she had just turned ten, double digits. Kai whined, “Noooo i’m sick of those dogs!” Soobin snickered at them and of course an argument was started.

Seokjin made his appearance the first time this morning, unplugging the TV to all their heartbreak. “Its too early to argue, no TV today” He sat at the table, Yoongi following behind and the alpha finally allowed them to eat.

Yeonjun smacked the back of Kais head, “Well done, you ruined it for the rest of us” He whisper shouted, Chaewon crossed her arms, “Id rather watch the dogs then a black screen” She looked him up and down. Kai mocked her voice and she lifted her fist, threatening to punch him.

“Daddy shes gonna hit me!” He squealed, Seokjin rubbed at his forehead, “Who ever that is can clean the church today” Kai poked his tongue out and she scowled at him. Hoseok collected their empty plates not too long after, rounding up the babies.

“Im going to start breakfast, go upstairs, get dressed, make your beds then /peacefully/ make your way to the cafeteria” The stairs sounded like a school hallway as everyone rushed up, Jungkook went up to help Eunchae. She was the only one below the age of ten, she didn’t really need help anymore but Jungkook liked it.

The rest of his morning was spent cleaning before the sermon, he held Soobins hand the entire time. One of the church members used to be a school teacher, so he would teach them all in the afternoon whilst they did chores.

Jungkook cleaned, cleaned until his heart no longer felt heavy, he was on his knees scrubbing the floor. The omegas back had been taking the toll over the years, chronic back pain took over after his third child.

But chores made Jungkook feel whole, like he could finally rest after a long day. “Dad? Why don’t you take a break?” Yeonjun asked him, he rubbed Jungkooks lower back affectionately. “I need to do this” Is all he replied, if he stopped now he would lose momentum.

“Ill make you a tea” Yeonjun sighed, Hoseok came through the door, shaking his head, “Your brother is unbelievable” He directed too Yeonjun who raised an eyebrow. “He wants to learn how to drive, I cant believe this!” Hoseok made it sound like that was the worst thing their 17 year old son could ask.

Jungkook decided just to stay out of it, sometimes his opinion wasn’t needed. “You know how he is, he just wants to be cool” Said the young alpha in response, he wasn’t too far from the truth. Beomgyu is a complicated omega, difficult to handle sometimes.

Seokjin gets easily frustrated by his attitude and they don’t see eye to eye sometimes. It hurts Jungkook to see them argue but he knows its not his place to get in between them. He wishes Beomgyu wouldn’t act out like this, he keeps telling himself that this is some teen rebellion phase.

Just then, Beomgyu walks in, holding hands with his little sister Eunchae, Hoseok raises as eyebrow as he tries to head off upstairs. “Your fathers office, now” He points, Beomgyu mutters something under his breath, slamming the door as he shuts it behind him.
