Jason had made a few regrets in his life, but he was damn certain that this wouldn’t become one of them.
Lex fucking Luthor had done the unthinkable.
He’d done the unthinkable to Jason’s baby brother.
So now he had to pay, him and every other business man that had dared touch a child.
Regrettably, Jason couldn’t just kill every single pedo in the world, there were too many.
But he could kill this one.
He had snuck into Lexcorp through a vent, and was watching the man himself work at his computer.
Jason knew that Lex was aware of his presence, as he wanted the man to underestimate him.
He was waiting for the building to be empty aside from the bald man and his bodyguard, a woman named Mercy who wouldn’t be hard for Jason to remove.
She was a formidable fighter, but Jason had led them both to believe that he wasn’t a threat, so that once the right moment hit he could shoot her from the vent without giving her a chance to dodge.
She knew everything that Luthor did, and those that actively allowed rape of any kind, yet alone rape of a child, deserved to die in Jason’s books.
The last of the lights finally went off, and it was just the three of them left in the building.
“So, intruder, do you wish to come chat?”
Lex was looking at the wrong vent, just as Jason had planned. Mercy was preparing to throw a gas bomb up into the vent, and Jason lined up his gun, and shot her in the head.
The woman went down instantly, dead before she hit the ground.
Lex leaped out of his seat and raced to her side, “Mercy! You killed her!”
Jason laughed and dropped down from his hiding place.
“Yeah, I did. And you’re next Luthor.”
“If I may, what prompted my death.”
He was stalling, Jason would let him.
He’d let him feel the helplessness Tim had felt as he realised that there was nothing he could do to prevent his death.
“Well you see, you made a mistake a few years ago, one that is now catching up to you.”
He was glancing around, looking for anything he could use against Jason.
But nothing in his office would help, and Jason knew that the doors were locked.
“Do you remember Tim Drake?”
“The Drake boy? What does he matter to you?”
Jason stepped forward, crowding into his space.
“He’s my little brother, and you hurt him. You hurt him in the worst way you can hurt someone. And now I’m gonna make sure that you never do it again.”
Lex’s face had gotten progressively paler as Jason spoke, and he smiled at the fear in his eyes as he raised his gun.
“W-wait!”
“No.”
Jason pulled the trigger.
