The Scott dog is the new hot dog taking the City of Chicago by storm. We asked Chef Lopez of "O" Dawg fame, who partnered with Mayoral candidate Scott to open the city’s first Scott dog stand, what makes the Scott dog so special. “We start with an all beef char-dog,” said Lopez, “on a seedless bun, with peppers and grilled onion.” And the key ingredient? “Don’t call it ketchup,” according to Lopez, who described the condiment as a spicy sweet tomato reduction, with all the fire and pizazz we’ve come to expect from something with a name like Scott.

LINCOLN PARK — Residents of a new mixed-use development near the Armitage Red Line station in Sheffield Neighbors are protesting after the building was demolished early Tuesday morning by Scott, Chicago’s resident kaiju and candidate for mayor. Many of those gathered had already signed leases and paid move-in fees on the new units. The Sheffield Neighborhood Association celebrated the move, saying that the building was too tall in comparison to others in the area and that it didn’t have enough affordable units. Residents argued that the apartment building next door was four stories higher until its unexpected demolition late last year.
