The clouds covered the sun as training began and I sighed, my hands hurt more than usual today. I wanted to go back to bed, everyone was being too loud and it felt like everything was too bright.
"Hey Midobro! You okay with sitting this one out again?" I looked over at Kirishima and nodded, 'not like I have a choice, they think im fragile even though I have a quirk.'
"Thank Midobae!" Mina's voice came from off to the side and I didn't really acknowledge it, just sitting there was boring and I had too much I could be doing rather than sitting there.
"All Might, may I use the restroom?" I asked and he waved me off, so I left to go change into regular gym clothes and left, no one would know anyways.
'I wonder why they're treating me like im fragile even though I have one of the most versatile quirks?' I thought while walking to one of the indoor quirk use gyms. It would help to actually be able to work on my quirk, I still have ten years to catch up on afterall.
Heroics had come and gone and it was lunchtime, which they left me out again. My usual spot being taken up by Shinsou, I didnt mind of course, he deserves it, so instead I just left the cafeteria, foregoing eating altogether.
"They really are just forgetting me.." I muttered as I made my way to the classroom, one thought making its way through my mind, 'take a swan dive.'
It was the one thought I never wanted to think about again, but I guess when you have similar things happening.. I shook my head and made my way into the classroom. "Swan dive, huh, what a thing.." I muttered, looking up after hearing slight shuffling and freezing after making eye contact with Aizawa-sensei.
"What was that about a swan dive kid?" His voice sounded gruff, as if he'd just woken up.
"D-did I wake you up?" I asked and watched as he arched his brow disapprovingly.
"Don't change the subject problem child, what was this about a swan dive. Talk to me."
"It was nothing, just thinking about something from m-middle school!" I started to tug on my fingers and winced.
"Hey, problem child, don't do that." Aizawa had gotten closer, when did that happen?
"I-I uhm," I looked at the door and the windows before feeling a hand grab mine and tap a steady pattern.
"Just follow that pattern, calm down kid, its alright." Aizawa was so nice, so different from his usual gruff demeanor when he is teaching. "Don't go telling everyone kid, don't think they'd believe it though." He smiled and I huffed.
"They wouldn't, too much of a grump." I poked fun at him without realizing it before my eyes widened in realization and his just crinkled with a smile.
"Thats better kid, but im not a grump."
It was time for my usual night run, but instead I was sitting on a random roof where no one would find me. Taking in the memories from the past year, I smiled and reminisced until it got to recently and grimaced.
"Why did everything have to change.. I did everything right?" I frowned and pulled out my phone that was ringing constantly. Noticing the contact name, I answered.
"Izuku, where are you? Aizawa said you weren't in your room when doing dorm checks, and he couldn't get ahold of you. Then he said he couldn't track your location, are you okay?" Shinsou was rambling and I smiled. It was nice being friends with the other, he was kind and the class finally let him be involved, even if it meant leaving me out.
"Yeah, yeah.. I'm okay, just tired.." I said before looking out again. "You know, the stars are really pretty right now."
"Izuku, please, where are you? Todoroki is pacing and Bakugou refuses to sleep until you get back." Shinsou sounded panicked now and with a smiled I answered.
"I won't be back for quite some time Hitoshi, please let them know that I love them. I love you and Aizawa as well, you were the first ones to believe in me when no one else had." With that, I set my phone down after hanging it up. Turning back on the loacation and standing on the edge.
"If a swan dive is what they want, a swan dive is what they get.. I will have my own quirk in the next life, and not this borrowed quirk that has caused more problems than anything else." I smiled before falling back and free falling. The next thing I knew was hitting the ground and taking a minute before blacking out, after that, there was nothing.
I was free of the burden that One For All held and I took that awful quirk with me.
