The stream opens with the display of a cartoonish, bright looking game. Dan Heng’s face-cam sits in the middle left corner, his expression stoic as his character moves through the map. The score at the top reads 4-9, and the stream has been going for a solid forty minutes already. His eyes periodically flick towards the right, in the direction of the second monitor where his twitch chat flits by.
“Stelle tweeted that without my agreement,” he says tiredly, as if the same thing has already been said many times before. “So no, I’m not wearing cat ears. I don’t care how many likes she has.”
As he speaks, he continues to play. An enemy pops up on screen, only to die when Dan Heng’s character shoots them in the head. SPIKE PLANTED flashes at the top of the screen. Dan Heng calmly continues to make his way through the map, expressionless.
His eyes flick over towards the chat again and his brow furrows as he reads aloud, “‘Do you not want to be a meow meow’—what? What does that even mean, Stelle?”
Focusing so hard on staring at the chat, Dan Heng doesn’t react fast enough to the enemy that emerges onto his screen, outlined in red. His character dies and he huffs sharply, tapping a key before saying, “Phoenix last seen mid,” to the last surviving teammate. He leans back in his seat with a frown, the stream freezing for a few moments as his cursor moves off screen.
A few clicks, and it unfreezes just as another voice rings through. “DAN HENG, MY TWEET GOT 30.0K LIKES.”
“I’m not doing it,” he deadpans. Stelle makes an audible groan. She sounds as if she’s outside, judging by the low quality and the way wind can be heard blowing against her microphone.
“But why?”
“I don’t want to.”
“Come on, Dan Heng, it's just some cat ears!” she exclaims. In the background, someone shouts, and she mutters, “Oh shit.” Footsteps can be heard pounding against what sounds like pavement.
Dan Heng frowns as he clicks through the buy menu, the round having ended just a moment prior. “What are you doing?”
“Ahaha…” Stelle laughs nervously, breathing heavily. “Funny of you to ask!”
He sits up in his seat, hands moving off the keyboard even as the other characters begin to move around on screen to prepare for the start of the round. “Where are you right now, Stelle?”
“I gotta go!” she yells, her voice cutting out more than once. “Bye!”
“Stelle—”
“Sorry! Bye! Love you! Son of a bi—” Her voice cuts out just before she can finish her exclamation. Dan Heng stares blankly at his screen.
A few moments of stunned silence pass, then he picks up his phone and starts typing furiously. Abruptly, he stands from his chair and shoves his phone into his pocket.
“I’m ending early,” he says tersely, exiting out of the game despite the red warning that pops up. “Sorry. I'll stream tomorrow. Bye, chat. Don't clip that.”
The stream goes black.
Of course, everyone clips it.

The bright display of a tier-list making website is being displayed on stream, the dimensions indicating that it is being shared from a phone. There are three tiers, labeled ‘Smash’, ‘Pass’, and ‘Only while drunk’. Beneath that is an assortment of photos of the various animatronics from the FNAF franchise, though a decent amount have already been sorted into some of the categories.
“Hear me out,” Stelle is saying, her voice hushed. There is a sound of her shifting around, a small huff leaving her lips. “Sorry, this closet is kinda small, but it’s nice. I swear. Anyway, hear me out, Michael Afton is kinda…”
She pauses for dramatic effect, and snickers as she supposedly reads through the constant stream of her chat. “What! I’m just saying. Purple is a nice color, okay. Listen, listen, listen… oh is March in chat? Hi March.”
March7th: its like 2 am??? you need to sleep??
“Let me finish making my tier list first,” Stelle says. She drags Michael Afton’s icon up into the ‘Smash’ tier, humming. “Okay, who’s next? Toy Chica? Say less. Smash. We have uh… like twenty more characters to go.”
March7th: ??? u have been streaming for like 30 minutes already
March7th: I will call Dan Heng
“No you won’t,” she snorts. Drags Nightmare Freddy’s icon into the ‘Pass’ tier, followed by Helpy, Mangle, Balloon Boy, and most variations of Springtrap. “Because you know how Dan Heng gets when you wake him up in the middle of the night.”
March7th: is that a bet
“Do it, coward.” A pause. “And… she’s gone.” Stelle huffs softly. “Called her bluff.”
Right then, a text pops up on the screen. It reads:
Cold Dragon Young💪🐉⚔️
It will take me 40 minutes to get there at most
Go to fucking sleep.
Which is quickly followed by:
mar 💗

The stream goes silent. Stelle cannot be heard even doing so much as breathing, and no movement is made on the screen, even as the push notifications disappear from the top view.
“... Anyway,” she clears her throat after a few long moments. “Uh… I think I will… go to bed now. New video next week. Or next month? We’ll see. I’ll see you guys later! Bye!”
The stream ends.

“You’re doing it wrong!” March exclaims, switching to an empty spot in her hot bar to smack Dan Heng’s character away from the half-built construction. “You’re supposed to use dark wood, not oak wood. And strip the logs! Strip the logs, Dan Heng!”
Dan Heng’s character pauses, turning to look at her with a stack of oak logs in hand. “What’s the difference?”
“I—what do you mean ‘what’s the difference’! It looks better!” March can be seen frowning in the bottom right hand corner of the stream. She rolls her eyes. “Why do you suck?”
“You’re the one who told me to help you,” Dan Heng replies flatly. His character backs up slightly, turning to observe the beehouse they’ve been attempting to construct for the past hour and a half. “I don’t understand why you need a honey farm in the first place. What would you even use the honey for?”
“Nothing. It just looks cute,” March huffs at the same time that Stelle chimes in, “Not everything has to be practical, Mr. I-Killed-The-Ender-Dragon-In-Less-Than-An-Hour.”
“Right, exactly!” she exclaims. “Thank you, Stelle.”
“Himeko never said that I couldn’t,” Dan Heng mutters, sounding petulant; this is clearly a topic they’ve already addressed before. He switches the subject as March begins to undo what he messed up, jumping around the assortment of chests they had laid out in front of their beehouse for storing the building materials. “Aren’t you supposed to be helping, too?”
“I am helping. I’m getting the bees.”
“I could’ve gotten the bees.”
“I’m better at it.”
Dan Heng scoffs into the microphone. “Do you even know how to properly get bees?”
There’s a long silence, which makes both Dan Heng and March pause. Their characters turn to look at each other, the dread building in the air almost palpable.
“Stelle,” March says carefully, sitting up in her seat. “How are you getting the bees here?”
“Uh.” There’s the brief click of Stelle’s keyboard filtering through her mic, and a small, nervous giggle. “Running?”
March blinks in bemusement, her lips parting. On screen, Dan Heng’s character shifts a few paces to the left, looking past March and into the distance.
“Oh my god,” he says.
March turns around a moment after he speaks. What he’s staring at becomes immediately clear. In the distance, with an entire horde of bees flocking after her in a cloud of yellow and black and dots of red, is Stelle, sprinting at them full speed as the giant hive—there has to be at least fifteen bees—buzzes angrily after her.
To say that March shrieks would be an understatement.

“I can’t believe I’m doing this.”
“Hey! It’s not like you’re the only one!”
“Is that supposed to make it better?”
“Yes?”
Dan Heng, Stelle, and March 7th are all crowded around what looks to be Dan Heng’s desk, judging by the familiar background. Stelle sits in the center, while Dan Heng is pushed off a little to the right in his usual chair, and March is sitting cross-legged in a chair of her own.
Stelle and March are both grinning, though Dan Heng has his typical deadpan expression.
“Anyway,” March clears her throat. “Oh, it looks like people are arriving. That’s a lot of viewers.”
“Why are we doing this on Stelle’s Twitch account and not mine?” Dan Heng asks.
“Because I stream way less and therefore people are more likely to join if they see I am,” Stelle answers with a roll of her eyes. “We talked about this.”
Dan Heng doesn’t reply. He frowns slightly and March reaches around to pat him on the arm sympathetically, to which he does not react.
“Do you think we should have given them a heads up?” March asks, rocking side to side slightly. “Feels like this is kinda sudden y’know, and people have been waiting for us to do another meetup for a while now.”
“You didn't even give me a heads up,” Dan Heng mutters, petulant.
Stelle pouts. “I just wanted you to unblock me, but you weren’t answering my messages.”
“Typically, that’s how the block function works.”
“Well, it’s not like you can block me IRL, can you?”
“Murder,” March and Dan Heng respond.
“I’ll haunt you from the afterlife. Both of you.”
March makes a kissy face at Stelle, and Dan Heng just says, “Whatever.”
“Whatever,” Stelle mimics, nudging him on the shoulder. “Anyway, it's been ten minutes already. Should we just do it?”
“Yeah!” March cheers as Dan Heng grumbles, “Whatever.”
“Okay!” she exclaims, clapping her hands together and leaning slightly towards Dan Heng to read the chat as it flits by. “Hello, hello, hi guys! Yes, it’s us. Real and in the flesh together.”
“You showed up at my house this morning with no warning,” Dan Heng says.
“You blocked me!”
“Can we get back to the stream?” March asks, making Stelle huff.
“Fine, fine, whatever, okay. Anyway, hi. We figured that we might as well stream since we're here, and also maybe do a QnA like Mar was talking about on her Twitter earlier.” Stelle grins suddenly, looking entirely too pleased with herself. “And also…”
Dan Heng sighs. March is also grinning, though it is significantly less shit-eating. Not that it means much.
Like magic, Stelle raises her hands into view of the camera, revealing three sets of cat ear headbands. To her credit, she's managed to somehow find colors to match all of their respective hair colors closely.
Without wasting any time, she sets the headbands down and picks up the black one, leaning over to plop it onto Dan Heng's head unceremoniously. He sends a flat look towards the camera like he's in an episode of The Office, but doesn't try to stop her and even adjusts the ears so they sit more comfortably on his head.
Stelle hands the light pink headband to March, who sticks it on happily, then puts on her own. “See? Now we’re all matching.”
“Dan Heng wouldn’t do it until we told him that we'd also put on the ears,” March adds. “So here we are!”
“You would've bought your own pair anyway,” he says.
“So what?” March sticks out her tongue. “Anyway, I think we’re already getting donos.”
Dan Heng’s eyes flick over towards the chat. Reading aloud, he says, “Thank you TheStampede for the $5 dono: ‘Okay now where are the paws?’ Excuse me?”
“I wanted to get the paws, but none of them were the right size or color,” Stelle pouts. “Bronya said she had a guy that could get me the ones I wanted, but I didn’t wanna make you guys wait too long, and also do you know how hard it would be to get those on Dan Heng? We should’ve made this a charity stream.”
“Are you trying to guilt trip me into wearing cat-themed accessories by donating the money to charity?”
“Of course not,” Stelle says innocently as March says, “Duh.”
Dan Heng pinches the bridge of his nose.
“Anyway,” March says brightly, leaning halfway across Stelle to peer at the monitor displaying chat and donations. Her eyes promptly bug out of her head. Stelle follows her gaze to see what she's looking at, and gapes open-mouthed, eyes going wide in a similar manner before she bursts out into loud, shrieking cackles.
Dan Heng takes one look at the monitor, expression unchanging, before he simply puts his face in his hands and sighs deeply.
