Work Text:

The pillow fight had been brutal, the feathers were all over on the floor and the pillows, now almost empty, were in the hands of two exhausted half-elven children that were trying to fight themselves for the only bed in the room. Now you might wonder, what has happened to the second bed? Well the story, as Elrond would say (or rather not to), is a bit embarrassing because the twins had broken it by jumping on it because they were too excited at the news of the upcoming trip in the forest with their foster father.
Maglor entered the room and stared blankly at the scene behind him “What are you two exactly doing?”
“We are trying to decide who will sleep on the bed obviously” said Elrond
“And you are doing it… by throwing pillows?”
“yes”
“Come here I have the solution for this dilemma,” said Maglor. He went sitting in the middle of the bed and patted the space near him. Elrond and Elros immediately threw themselves
on top of Maglor and he, laughing, kissed them on the brow and moved them near him. Then, after covering them with a blanket said “ You know that I love you very much right? You are the most beautiful thing that has ever happened to me and I will love you forever, you know this right?”
“We know Atto” said Elros and Elrond in unison “And we love you very much too, and atya too”
“I know darlings, I know, he loves you two very much too”
“Will you stay with us forever right?” the children asked
“Yes darlings, until you will want me”
“Forever then”
And after another kiss, all of them falled asleep, three in one bed. Maedhros found them like this in the morning.
