Work-Meeting

Summary:

Being stuck in a boring meeting with an enemy organization was bad enough by itself, but when meeting lasts way longer than expected Akutagawa regrets skipping out on using the bathroom before hands.

Notes:

Hi, i had this in the back of my google docs files for awhile so I decided to finish it. Working on lots of other stuff stay tuned Might take awhile though so bear with me here.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

He definitely should have gone to the restroom before the meeting.

Akutagawa sat on a desk chair, both of his hands resting on the table next to a now abandoned half-drunk glass of water. This conference meeting in theory wasn’t supposed to take over an hour, it’s already been two.

Maybe he should’ve skipped on it, then maybe he wouldn’t be dealing with his current issue but it was a fairly important meeting between the Port Mafia and the Armed Detective Agency talking about their newly formed alliance, talking about future plans and fixing up certain details. The entirety of the ADA was there even including Fukuzawa. A considerable amount of mafia members were there too including the black lizards and the mafia executive Chuuya Nakahara.

He was seated next to his assistant, Higuchi on his right and Chuuya on his left across from them on the opposite side of the table sat various ADA members. Atsushi somehow being seated right across of him and Dazai sitting near him who clearly preferred mouthing insults at Chuuya from across the room than actually contributing to the meeting.

Back to Akutagawa’s current issue, he needed to pee fairly bad at that too. He already had needed to go before the meeting but didn’t bother since it was supposed to be relatively short, keyword ‘relatively’ since he’s already been there for double the planned time. He had his legs crossed which provided momentary relief, but not enough.

He was attempting to listen to whatever that agency member was saying- Ranpo… was it? Something like that he wasn’t sure since they hadn’t really talked before. Even with his best attempts, his attention was lacking since half of it was concentrated on not to start squirming in his seat. He didn’t want any unnecessary attention on himself and didn’t want to seem like some sort of hyperactive child who couldn’t stay still in his seat, he was better than that.

He looked back at the half-empty glass of water in front of him. he drank a glass and a half because he was thirsty and also bored earlier but maybe he should’ve abstained.

Eventually of course but also, unfortunately, his input was needed again and he with very much shame had to ask the person to repeat what they said since he wasn’t listening- god he was supposed to be maintaining at least some professionalism. This was an important meeting and yet he was distracted by something as stupid as a basic body need.

Thankfully they didn’t ask for him to say anything more- he honestly didn’t know if he could come up with anything to say at that point. He unconsciously started rocking back and forth in his seat, changing position every few minutes trying to find one where the pressure in his abdomen wasn’t so bad.

He really did try not to move around too much, not to make it obvious to any onlookers and embarrass himself. But he couldn’t physically stay still no matter how much he wished to at this point because of the unrelenting waves of need that crashed over him. How much longer were they going to talk? Couldn’t they have done this in multiple meetings instead of one horribly long one- that would’ve been ten times more practical.

His fabricated calm expression starts to falter as he suddenly leaks. Urine dampening his underwear but thankfully not enough to reach his pants.

He was internally panicking because he just leaked and now only felt worse, in all logic since he let some out he should be feeling at least a very tiny bit better but it only made the rest of his bladder want to relieve itself right here too. Which it couldn’t, not in front of literally every important person in his life he would internally die if that were to happen.

He couldn’t do this, he couldn’t stay in this meeting much longer but it wasn’t as if he could just stand up while someone was still in the middle of talking and leave and standing up sounded like a fairly difficult task by itself at the moment. He’d just have to wait until the meeting ended. He was a grown adult, he could hold it awhile longer.

He was visibly squirming in his seat even if he tried his best not to do it too much or be too obvious but whenever he stopped moving he would feel like he was about to leak or completely wet himself so he couldn’t stay still.

He risked a glance up to see how the meeting was actually doing, Chuuya was talking about… well he didn’t actually know and even now he didn’t think he could get himself to listen. He looked around the room verifying that no one had noticed his odd behaviour.

Amongst all people, the Weretiger was the only one looking at him with some sort of worry on his face clearly having noticed something off about Akutagawa’s behaviour.

He forcefully broke eye contact after glaring at Atsushi willing him to stop so intently staring at him. The other was fairly oblivious so maybe with some luck, he wouldn’t figure anything out.

He looked to his left and noticed Chuuya sat back down and now Mori was talking and he hoped that it was to finalize the meeting.

He gripped the fabric of his pant leg to stop himself from letting his hands wander between his legs, he was very steadily losing his composure and had to bite back a whimper when he once again leaked which only made him feel worse. This was his very own fault, he should’ve had the common sense to go use the bathroom before the meeting but he overestimated himself and didn’t so now he was paying the consequences for it.

He was startled when he suddenly hear people stand up around him and chat, did the meeting end or was it just a break? He didn’t know and he didn’t care as long as he got to leave now.

He gathered his courage and attempted to stand up, pushing himself up using the table in front of him as support. The change in gravity was apparently too much as a stream escaped only stopping when he dropped back in his chair and he quitely whimpered at the overwhelming feeling of fullness in his lower abdomen, he wished he could at least shove a hand between his legs to help him hold it but he absolutely couldn’t if he still cared about his reputation at least a little bit, people were still around and he’d rather not get caught with his hands between his legs like a toddler.

He realized with some horror that the front of his pants was now wet and he prayed to god that they were dark enough to hide it because he would not be living it down if anyone noticed.

He had to think of something and fast, he’d wait until everyone left the room to try and stand up again. The room was pretty much empty anyway and he was lucky enough that Higuchi seemed to have left too instead of staying here to bother him because he didn’t think he could’ve come up with a good enough excuse to send her away.

He looked up to verify who was actually still in the room, he could only see Dazai and Atsushi, talking near the door about god knows what, he was too far to hear anything but Dazai left a few seconds later.

For whatever reason Atsushi didn’t leave with him and instead looked back at him and Akutagawa looked down to avoid his gaze the second he accidentally made eye contact and willed the other to get a hint and leave because he didn’t think his composure could last much longer.

Of course with his luck that didn’t happen and he could hear the other’s footsteps approaching him, god go away, go away, go away-

Hey um-” The other said as he finally reached him, he hoped that whatever he said was quick because he did not have his time. “You looked pretty unwell during the meeting, are you feeling sick?”

Right, of course, that idiot came to the conclusion he shouldn’t be surprised. He tried to keep his voice from shaking as he answered. “I’m fine, leave me alone.”

Not exactly the most convincing answer but he couldn’t really think of anything more to say when most of his focus was on keeping the little that’s left of his composure and not shove a hand between his legs right there.

“Really?” He responded not sounding convinced in the slightest and Akutagawa had to stop himself from using Rashomon to rip the other’s hand off when he felt it touch his forehead, checking for temperature. “Jesus, Akutagawa you’re burning up.”

He wasn’t hot from the fact that he was suffering from a fever but because of the pure effort of holding everything in for a solid two hours. He didn’t even know why the other was pretending to care about his health now of all times. “Weretiger, I’m not sick, leave.

He couldn’t really bring himself to put together a more constructed or convincing sentence as he felt a wave of need overcome him and he leaked again it rapidly turning into a weak stream and he loudly whimpered as he had to shove a hand between his legs to stop it, giving up on keeping the rest of his dignity.

“Oh, um.” The other muttered out in pure realization and quickly went on now aware of the overall urgency of the situation. “You have to- um right . Well, can you stand?”

Akutagawa realized with some horror that no, he couldn’t, he felt as if he’d wet himself if he even moved right now so he definitely couldn’t get himself to stand much less walk all the way to the bathroom. He hesitantly shook his head no in response, he felt as if he was gonna die of shame right there.

“Would you be able to stand if I helped you up?” Atsushi asked and Akutagawa was forced to shake his head again, this was way too humiliating he felt like crying.

“Um, okay, it’s okay! Just hold on a second”  Atsushi said with some panic in his voice as he moved around the room hurriedly looking for something and came back maybe fifteen seconds later with an item in hand “Here! That should do.”

Akutagawa looked up to see what Atsushi was referring to and saw him holding the mostly empty jug of water that was previously sitting on the table. His first thought was absolutely not, the idea of pissing in a jug sounded more than distasteful and he highly doubted that it could even hold everything that he was currently holding in.

“You- you can’t seriously expect me to-” He tried to say.

“Well do you have any better Idea?” Atsushi quickly said cutting him off. “Just go while I keep a lookout, I’ll make sure no one walks in.”

He was about to object again but quickly changed his mind as he leaked again and realized it was either that or the floor and he didn’t really have any other option if he wanted to keep his pants (mostly) dry, it was the jug or his pants so his decision was quickly made.

He grabbed the jug and temporarily set it down on the floor as he made quick work of his belt and zipper. He took the jug and held it to the best of his ability between his legs making sure to position it well enough that nothing would end up on the floor before he pulled himself out and finally let go.

He would probably feel mortified later about the fact that he pissed in a jug, in the middle of a meeting room with his enemy literally standing right there. But right now all he could focus on was the pure sensation of relief cursing through him and he sighed in relief not even thinking of trying to muffle any whimpers or sounds that involuntarily left his lips.

As expected, the jug couldn’t really hold all that much and he had to force himself to stop before it overflowed. His bladder protested at first and he panicked for a second thinking he wouldn’t be able to cut the flow off but he managed to stop it after a few seconds and zipped back up setting the jug on the floor for a second.

He still had to go, badly too but he felt more confident in his ability to walk to the bathroom now. He grabbed the jug planning to empty it and get rid of it when he reached the bathroom and stood up on shaky legs, crossing them for a few seconds as he felt the change of gravity set in.

When everything felt under enough control he uncrossed them and rapidly walked up to the door that Atsushi was still guarding, covering his ears for the sake of previously giving Akutagawa at least some privacy. Akutagawa very awkwardly taped him on the shoulder to get his attention.

“Thank you for your um… assistance it was appreciated .” He said and coughed slightly afterwards waiting for a response, he could feel his face heat up in pure embarrassment.

“Ah, it’s no problem! Don’t worry I won’t mention it or anything.” Atsushi answered, good because he already felt humiliated enough that that happened so he was glad the other was kind enough to forget about it.

He hummed in response and was about to leave the room when someone suddenly entered almost startling him into dropping the jug he was holding.

“Still here? You’re not both planning on spending your entire break in the meeting room are you?” Dazai questioned as he spotted them.

“Ah no we just needed to talk about something real quick.” Atsushi easily lied to his mentor smiling at him.

“Is that so?” Dazai said and Akutagawa tried to take his chance to leave the room and hurry to a bathroom before Dazai questioned them any further but wasn’t fast enough. “What are you carrying a jug around for?”

“Ah- um…” He struggled to come up with a good enough excuse as he not so discretely shifted from foot to foot. “I'm gonna go wash it, you know um spring cleaning yeah that’s it uh I really have to get going-”

He hurried out of the room before Dazai could try to question him any further.

“Spring cleaning? In the middle of winter? Is he sick or something?” The taller man questioned and Atsushi sort of just awkwardly laughed in response. "I never heard of such a bad excuse, what was he really-"

“We should get going! I saw a vending machine not far let’s go buy something there.” Atsushi quickly suggested cutting the other off because he was not having that conversation as much as he didn’t care if Dazai found out since it wasn’t exactly his problem he’d rather not have Akutagawa try to murder him in the near future if he let Dazai find out, and he also wasn’t enough of an asshole to want to humiliate the other any further.

Very thankfully, Dazai dropped it and they walked out of the meeting room in search of the previously mentioned vending machine.
