Sam "Serious" Stone.
Known hero across the planet. Member of the Earth Defense Force. Humanity has been saved countless times due to his help, the latest one being the massive war efforts in Tunguska. Countless soldiers were lost in the very known war. Killed or processed, but Serious Sam has always stood triumphant through the hardships faced.
Millions upon millions of aliens sent by Mental, otherwise known as Tah-Um, all have not stood a chance against our hero.
For every thousandth alien killed, a thousand more show up. It has never been an issue for Sam, as all he needed are his weapons. Of course, he wasn't alone through all of this. At least, not always.
He's had his friends from the EDF to back him up. They've all laughed in the face of danger, seemingly turning it into a casual and fun activity to decimate Mental's forces. But whenever he was not assisted, whether by choice or not, Serious Sam has achieved almost impossible, near inhumane feats.
All by himself, he has taken down hordes of unimaginable numbers, with little to no struggle. Throughout the history of him joining the EDF, he's defended the planet with all his might, even throwing one liners every which way, as is his brand.
Of course, there's been moments of doubt. Or rather… moments where anyone else possibly would crack under pressure, and would simply break.
The risks of war, nonetheless a war against an army of all kinds of aliens, are known. Every encounter, there's the possibility of someone dying. And it has happened.
Jones, a good friend and quiet soldier, had been taken down by a khnum, a giant beast with no mercy.
Kenny, the new recruit, had become friends with Sam, but met an unfortunate demise. Killed by Lord Achriman, one of the alien generals.
At some point, he had even thought he'd been alone, with all his remaining friends being processed.
But as always, through loss and betrayal, Serious Sam pulled through, one liners and all. Although he wasn't alone, after all. With his remaining friends, and an entire army of soldiers on his side.
They took down one who was once "General" Brand, who had always been on Mental's side in secret, who pushed away his humanity in hopes to reach greatness.
In retrospect, his ego was far too great to be convinced any other way.
Sam also faced against the mighty war general Ugh-Zan VI, finally deeming humanity victorious.
But who could've known what awaited them?
Sent to Egypt, a simple mission at first. Everything then started going in all the wrong directions. But Sam pulled through, as always.
After hordes of aliens and challenges along the way, he defeated Ugh-Zan IV.
But by then, he went from one of many people, to the last man on Earth. The only survivor.
The planet would be destroyed in mere moments, although with the ancient Sirian timelock artifact, he was able to go back in time, thousands of years in the past.
So then Sam "Serious" Stone, the mighty hero of humanity, was the last hope. The beacon of salvation which would have to shine a new light, so that there would even be a future.
Mental's insanity would be put to a final stop, single handedly by one human.
