Chapter Text
The pale blue station wagon jolted against a pothole as it lumbered over a bridge, shaking Yoongi from his nap. The first thing he noticed was that the grass was long here. It caught in the breeze and rippled, turning a shade of gold in the heavy light that signaled the last dregs of summer were ending and fall was on the way. And the second thing was a warm hand, folded over his own in his lap.
“You were asleep for way too long, I have so much to tell you.” Jin wound their fingers together and pulled them across the console briefly to mouth along the shells of Yoongi’s knuckles before releasing him to have a spirited tussle with the clutch.
“I’m sorry yeobo,” Yoongi tucked his legs up under himself and curled up to face the alpha, wincing briefly when the seatbelt rubbed against the still-healing sores on his ribs, “tell me everything.”
“You better be sorry! I drive a whole hour to pick you up and you fall asleep the second you’re in my car? Unacceptable, I’m just going to have to give you the abridged version now. Very rude of you if you ask me. You’re lucky you’re cute, omega.”
“Of course, proceed.” Yoongi was trying to be offended, but he couldn’t banish the fuzzy warmth in his chest as he settled further into the passenger seat that smelled of nothing but leather and Jin and listened to the lull of his voice. He talked about the new house, and his commute, and the welcome-home dinner the girls had been prepping all week while Yoongi stared out at all of the impossible green around them. Jin’s voice softened suddenly, pulling him out of his daze,
“I told them not to go overboard this weekend, they know that you need to take it easy.”
“Are you sure Yuna was absorbing this conversation or was she doing that thing where she says yes as many times she thinks it will take to get you to stop talking?”
“Oh she’s grown out of that, now her thing is holding a single tiny finger to her lips and giving you a very pointed look,” Jin leaned in close to Yoongi’s face to demonstrate, “until you stop on your own. It is apparently something she picked up from one of Joo’s teachers. Definitely cuter and less annoying, hoping his phase sticks around for at least a few weeks. But no, I actually can’t make any promises she won’t be forcing you play whale spirit and the anthill with her the second you arrive.”
Yoongi spluttered. “What the hell is whale spirit and the anthill?”
“I’m not actually sure, Hyun-Joo apparently knows but she won’t tell me, although I think she's full of shit. All I know is that it involves a lot of digging and yelling and running and usually ends with me deep cleaning every participants clothes.” Yoongi suddenly felt an unexpected twinge behind his ribs at the thought of Yuna’s little face. When was the last time he had seen it streaked with mud? Shining with sunlight? Would she look older, somehow, then she did under harsh fluorescents? He didn’t realize his eyes had begun burning until he felt the warm weight of Jin’s fingers tangling with his own again.
“Hey, don’t get lost in there,” Jin brought their conjoined hands up to tap at Yoongi’s temple.
“I just- I’m sorry, I really am excited for this weekend. I just didn’t think they would go through so many phases without me.”
“Oh my aegiya, this will all be over soon and you’ll be back home with us. I promise.”
“You can’t promise that.” Yoongi stared down at their conjoined hands, feeling as his mind threatened to swallow him.
“Aish! He makes me drive to get him, he sleeps through my sparkling conversation, and now he questions my genius? I’m a professor Yoongi-yah! They let me teach people and then they even pay me for it.”
“Of literature!” He couldn’t help the snort that escaped him as all that pressure in his chest was released in a sudden burst of laughter.
“Exactly! Do you know how many books I’ve read?”
“I don’t know, at least ten.”
“That does it!” The car came to a sudden, jolting stop as Jin half-launched himself over the center console and jabbed lightly beneath Yoongi’s armpits, tickling mercilessly. Yoongi shrieked and groaned, shoving him away in mock-protest.
“Ay! You just said you told the girls to go easy on me. I’m frail, I’m no more than a with of a man and you’re going to break me you beast. Get off!” Instead of getting off Jin got closer. He put no weight on Yoongi’s body but wrapped him up in his arms all the same. Yoongi was suddenly very aware how close their faces were. He licked his lips and let his eyes fall to Jin’s, plump and pink in the set of his pale face. Yoongi’s cheeks heated, but rather than press their lips together Jin moved upward, finally settling on the tenderest of kisses to Yoongi’s forehead. He couldn’t help the shuddering sigh he let out at the contact as he was suddenly swarmed by the alpha’s familiar scent. Indescribable and easy, he let Jin wash over him like a wave. Soon his tranquility was broken by an equally familiar scream. Yoongi was shoving Jin off and fighting with the station wagon’s unwieldy door handle before his head caught up with his instincts, the acute need to have his babies close suddenly a pounding ache in his chest.
“Jinnie! The damn door! Help me!” He ignored the alpha’s quiet laughter as Jin popped the lock and Yoongi went tumbling free, barely managing to land on his feet, sandals kicking up clouds of dust as two familiar blurs descended on him. Hyun-Joo barely managed a cry of,
“be careful!” Before an orange blur had made its collision with Yoongi’s chest. He didn’t care, he didn’t care that her momentum almost knocked him into the dust because his girl was in his arms and her scent was so sweet and so sharp and then Hyun-Joo was there too, hands lacing behind his neck as she nuzzled into him. And Yoongi sat right there and let dirt stain blue fabric as he rocked his girls and let his tears soak into their hair.
“Don’t cry Eomma,” Yuna smiled as she placed two sticky hands over his cheeks, “you saw me last Saturday remember? And I fluffed the rice all by myself and I made a new best friend by the river yesterday her name is Jiwoo and I saw three frogs just this morning and Joo-eonni brushed my hair and it hurt!”
“It wouldn’t hurt if you didn’t squirm so much!” Hyun-Joo protested. The fragrant spice of her scent was threatening another rush of tears, so he let Jin help him to his feet, but refused to let his littlest out of his arms for even a second, adjusting so she was resting on his hip.
“Were you girls good while I was gone?” Jin asked, taking Hyun-Joo’s hand as they approached the house.
“Yes Appa,” they chimed in unison. It was the first time Yoongi had ever seen it outside of pictures, and Yuna’s many, many drawings that now littered the walls and ceiling over his corner of the ward. It was a bit ramshackle, leaning precariously to the side, the sliding doors looking ready to rest free from their tracks at the the barest hint of wind, and judging by the menacing grey thunderheads to the west, he hoped they were stronger than they looked. Despite all that, Yoongi felt a swell of affection for the crumbling old ruin. His own childhood had been marred by smog and fire and choking darkness. It was where he had met Jin, on the streets of Seoul, taunting soldiers around every corner and the threat of war on the horizon. He had been gleam of vibrant joy in Yoongi’s gray world. In Jin’s parents shoebox apartment, when he had been working to finish his degree and Yoongi had done soldiers’ laundry just to make ends meet. Where Hyun-Joo had been born in the room they shared with Jin’s brother and his parents and their parents. Whispering to each other on their mat in the darkness, their tiny girl gurgling softly as she slept between them, a half formed dream for her to know a different life hanging fragile in the air. Jin’s family put up with him, but there was always that barely-there sheen of disapproval lurking beneath the surface of their tolerance. He didn’t come from a good family, he got pregnant before they’d been properly mated, and more than anything else, he was a male omega with their perfect alpha son. Their son who was meant for better things. They’d found their own room once Jin had gotten tenure and Yoongi was reliably publishing poems, and after the end of the war they even felt safe enough to add Yuna to their little pack. But here, amongst all this green, maybe they’d found what they were looking for, if only Yoongi could get well enough to live it.
Yuna squirmed out of Yoongi’s grip as they advanced on a young man with sandy hair bent over the pump, shucking peas into a bucket. He tried to rise at the sight of them, but Jin quickly waved him back down.
“No need to get up on our account Hob-ah,” he called. Yuna was already running to him, screaming.
“Have you seen him have you seen him? It’s my eomma! I told you he was really coming home and now he’s here!” Yuna made a sharp turn just before she reached him and sprinted back to Yoongi, her hands knotting in the folds of his chima as if she was worried he’d disappear if she didn’t keep constant contact. The thought made Yoongi ache with impossible guilt.
“Hoseok-ah, this is my mate, Min Yoongi.”
“Pleased to meet you Hoseok-ssi, thank you for looking after my girls.” Yoongi bowed low, wincing when the movement jostled Yuna’s hands against his sores. Jin’s hand immediately came up to cup at his back, a silent confirmation, and Yoongi flushed hot with shame, but Hoseok said nothing, and he smiled as he pulled Yoongi down to sit beside him at the pump. He had an easy presence, and Yoongi already felt strangely comfortable with him in this place, despite just meeting him. His even beta scent was simultaneously like daffodil stems and freshly tilled earth, hot and fragrant in the steaming summer air. It made Yoongi feel like he belonged somewhere like this, somewhere green.
“Don’t you dare thank me, look at all the sunshine you’ve brought into my life. They are strong and kind, you should be so proud.” Yuna wasn’t listening from her place nestled in Yoongi’s skirts, playing lazily with a beetle as it scuttled over his sandal, but Hyun-Joo flushed from head to toe before bowing slightly as she nibbled on her lip. Yoongi noted the new habit.
“Time for dinner Appa!” Yuna suddenly shouted up at him, it was not a question.
“You’re welcome to stay, of course,” Yoongi offered, but Hoseok shook his head.
“No, this is such a special time for you and your family, I want you to have them all to yourself.” Hoseok beamed, and his sweet face bloomed with twin dimples.
“And anyway, my mate’s expecting me.”
“I said that it’s special!” Yuna suddenly protested, “but Appa said we couldn’t have a big sleepover together like I wanted even though it’s so so special. Joo and I have to sleep alone in our room while Appa and Eomma have their special time without us!” Jin, who had been only half listening as he helped himself to a glass of water from the pump, choked on his sip, gasping for air as he tried to get a hold of himself. Yoongi flushed red and said nothing, desperately trying to hold in his laughter, while Hoseok’s face split into an unapologetic grin.
“How about tomorrow night? I’m sure Yoongi-yah would love to meet your mate. And we’re all going to be neighbors soon.” Jin threaded his fingers through Yoongi’s hair, a question in the soft tug. But Yoongi just nodded in easy agreement, he wanted a peek at the life he could have as soon as he was well enough.
“We’d love to, I’ll tell him when he gets home from work.”
The rest of the night progressed in a blur, and even though Yoongi was determined to savor every second of it, before he knew it the dishes were cleared and the girls were getting ready for bed. Jin pressed a soft kiss to the top of Yoongi’s head as he passed, quietly suggesting that he take a bath with them. Rain lashed the windows and shook the screens as Yoongi meticulously boiled water again and again to supplement the chill of the pump while the girls curled up against him on the couch, hopping up to carry the water up the stairs to the tub whenever it boiled with only the occasional shout of “be careful!” from Yoongi. Jin busied himself cleaning up after dinner, rolling his eyes and playfully shoving him back onto the couch when Yoongi made to help. Every time the girls were upstairs, accompanied by far too much giggling for a simple trip to the tub, Yoongi couldn’t keep his eyes off the alpha as he busied himself about the kitchen, humming softly as he scrubbed and dried the pots and wiped down the table and ground the coffee for the morning. Yoongi was pleasantly full and drowsy after the impressive tteokguk they’d made him, and the lulling crackle of heat from the fireplace was making his eyelids feel heavy. Yet the sight of Jin’s shaggy black hair, too long, and his broad shoulders beneath his loose shirt, and those busy hands- yes, Yoongi was still hungry, he realized.
“Yeobo,” he whined softly as the girls made their final, precarious trip up the stairs, “you’re so far away.” Jin was still organizing the cupboards while Yoongi was finally right in front of him, flesh and warmth and need. He immediately abandoned his project to join him on the couch, one arm wrapping around his shoulders, too chaste, too gentle, as he murmured,
“are you okay?”
“I’m fine,” Yoongi blew his hair out of his eyes with a huff and drew close to Jin’s chest, “I just- I missed you.” His voice grew very small.
“All the way over here? On the other side of the room? Must have been a big hardship for you.” Jin blew a puff of hot air into his ear and Yoongi groaned.
“You know what I mean.”
“I know.” Jin pulled him closer, tucking his chin over the top of his head. Yoongi sighed deeply and breathed him in. His scent made the back of his throat feel suddenly tight.
“Eomma? Aren’t you gonna get in the bath too?” Yuna’s high voice carried from the kitchen doorway where she was holding Hyun-Joo’s hand, already dressed in her night dress, her hair brushed down behind her ears. Yoongi ached at the sight of his big girls, learning to do so much when he wasn’t there to do it for them. He immediately shrugged out of Jin’s hold and crossed the room, pulling them close and breathing in the faint milky scent that still clung to his littlest baby. The tightness in his throat remained.
“You coming?” He peered over his shoulder at the alpha on the couch.
“No, you go ahead, they’re sick of baths with their appa.”
“Wait up for me,” Yoongi called behind him as he was lead up the creaking stairs.
The wind rose to a primal scream as the trio curled closer together against the cool blue tiles of the tub. Yoongi hoped that his concerns about the delicate nature of the house had not been a premonition. But despite the groaning in the walls, the strong foundation held fast. And when Hyun-joo pressed in close to his side, her warm skin sliding against his own as she shrunk away from the noise, Yoongi held her as tight as he could. She was too little to already have to be so grown.
“You smell like rain Eomma,” Yuna said, “don’t be sad now.”
“Rain smells like rain,” Yoongi eyed the slow leak down the far corner of the room, “I’m not sad, pinky promise.” He hooked Yuna’s tiny finger around one of his own. Was it his imagination or was it a little bit bigger than he remembered? He didn’t want to think about it, he wanted to think about how her hair smelled where it tickled his nose.
“Cold,” Hyun-Joo said, squirming against him as she tried to pull her bony shoulders beneath the surface of the water.
“I think it’s time for my little puppies to scamper off to bed.” Yuna giggled and Yoongi had a sudden desire to bottle that sound. He rubbed his hands vigorously up both their backs to keep them warm before he braved the cool air of the bathroom to grab all of their towels.
Yuna swore to stay awake all night, even after Hyun-Joo’s immediate scolding. But their heads were both lolling on Yoongi’s shoulders before he’d finished the third page of the sixth chapter of a book about rabbits on a long and perilous journey over rock and under tree. Yoongi thought it was a little sad for a bedtime story, but Hyun-Joo said Jin had read it to them before. He managed to safely extricate himself from the mosquito net and from their little limbs, but he lingered before turning the light off, his heart suddenly quickening in his chest at the sight of Hyun-Joo’s long legs draped over Yuna’s back, crinkling her cotton shift. It was only the promise of Jin’s broad shoulders through his shirt as he leaned over the stove that compelled Yoongi to flick the switch and slide the screen closed, padding silently down the hall on bare feet to where low light still glowed through thin paper. Jin looked up as he entered, glasses sliding down his nose as he set aside his book. It shouldn’t be cute seeing his alpha reading Jane Austen before bed, but it always was.
“That was quick,” his voice was a loud whisper, barely audible over the groan of the wind. Yoongi just shrugged, suddenly feeling a strange, shy warmth in his stomach.
“They had an exciting day.”
“You look nice,” Jin rolled onto his side to face him, shirt open, wearing nothing else but a pair of loose cotton shorts. Yoongi raised both eyebrows and gestured to his oversized pants and plain shirt.
“You look beautiful,” he specified. Yoongi shrugged and slowly approached their mat. It was the same one they’d shared in Seoul, the first thing they ever bought as a mated pair. The most important part of a meaningful relationship. Jin had said with an eyebrow waggle at the salesman, who went so red that Yoongi had to hide his face behind Jin’s back while he snorted. It had grown more worn in the 10 years since, soft and familiar as it buckled and reformed to the curve of their bodies.
“You don’t look too bad either.” Yoongi pointedly eyed the smooth plane of Jin’s stomach.
“Tired baby?” Jin asked as he lifted the mosquito net and Yoongi crawled inside.
“A little.” He’d had an exciting day too. The familiar blanket was heaven as Jin slipped it over his shoulders.
“Lie down with me. Let’s get some sleep.”
“Sleep? Who needs sleep?” Yoongi tilted his neck, flashing the healed line of his mating mark, angling it toward Jin’s pink mouth.
“You have to heal,” Jin threaded his fingers throng Yoongi’s hair, carefully detangling down to where it barely brushed his chin,
“I don’t want you to get catch a cold.” Yoongi felt a warm hand on his back, pressing him down into Jin’s chest. He leaned over and flipped off the lamp, washing them in semi-darkness.
“I love it when you’re here with us Yoongi-yah, I really want you to be able to come home more like this. I-“ Jin’s voice sounded tight, “life is so boring when you’re not here.” Yoongi laughed into his chest, breathing him in as the wetness on his own cheeks, on Jin’s skin, became undeniable.
“I’m glad to know I entertain you.”
“You really do you know! It’s why we keep you around. This-“ he cleared his throat, “this would all be so much easier if you were boring.”
“I’ll make an effort I promise.”
“Thank you, I really didn’t think it was too much to ask,” Jin tried to keep the lightness in his voice, but he could hear the forced catch in. Yoongi laughed softly before falling silent. Lightening illuminated the windows in a quick burst of white, and after a while a soft rumble of thunder followed.
“Jinnie?” There was thunder in Yoongi too, and suddenly he ached with every inhale of Jin’s scent. Something woodsy and sharp and indescribably alpha. Every mouthful was home, and he knew it would make the emptiness all the more acute in the days to come when it slowly stopped clinging to his clothes, to his skin.
“Baby?”
“Alpha.”
“Oh Yoongi-yah,” that tightness had returned to Jin’s voice, “are you sure you’re not too tired? I don’t want to hurt you, I don’t want to make it worse.” Jin pulled Yoongi’s face up off his chest and pressed their foreheads together, nose to nose.
“I promise you won’t, please Jinnie, I still have a body you can touch. I’m still me and I’m not going to break.”
“I know, baby I know. God I want you, I always want you, I think about you all the time, want it so bad I can smell you,” Jin leaned even closer, his breath impossibly hot against the sensitive skin of Yoongi’s lips, “between your legs, I can smell where you’re wet for me. Yoongi-yah.” He was barely whispering at all. Yoongi whimpered, a jolting shudder going through his entire body. And he could feel it, Jin’s hardness pressing against his thigh.
“God alpha, it burns, burns like heat.” Jin released the quietest growl, his hips jerking forward slightly.
“Need you inside me, I’m so-“ Yoongi sucked in a gasping breath when Jin pressed his lips to his exposed mating mark, “so empty for you.”
“Omega,” Jin unlaced Yoongi’s pants and nudged them down his legs before gently turning him onto his back.
“Omega,” he repeated. The hand that had been cupping Yoongi’s face was trembling as he brought it beneath the covers and rested it on the soft skin of Yoongi’s upper thigh. Yoongi shivered again as his wetness was exposed to the air.
“Tell me if there’s anywhere you don’t want me to touch, okay?” Jin was usually all bluster and smiles, but Yoongi thought he loved this Jin the most. He was one of the only people who got to witness it, the gentle softness that the alpha held at his core. Yoongi nodded, struggling not to squirm with how much he needed the alpha to touch him.
“I need you to promise me baby, promise you’ll tell me if anything hurts or doesn’t feel right.”
“I promise.” Their wide eyes met in the dark as another fork of lightening lit up Jin’s face momentarily. The thunder rumbled closer.
“Not the bandages okay? They’re getting better, they really are, but not my stomach.”
“Okay,” Jin's thumb rubbed soothing circles on Yoongi’s milky thigh, simultaneously comforting and sexy.
“Okay.” Yoongi gripped his bicep and squeezed, suddenly needing him to feel as real in his arms as he possibly could,
“Kiss me.” Jin kissed him exactly how he wanted to be kissed, hungry and gasping, but without force. He was a well practiced expert by now. He had Yoongi parting his lips and letting him in with an easy sigh. That’s how it had always been with Jin, right from the start, even in his initial clumsiness, they just fit like this. Through all the changes, the swell of his body with both of his pregnancies, the pained nervousness that came after, when he was healing and breastfeeding, when they both had to relearn his body and found that burning heat waiting still. And then, as he grew frail, as his skin turned grey and Jin always smelled off no matter what he said, what he did. Jin was there, holding them both together even as Yoongi fell apart. But he was stronger now. As if he read his mind Jin murmured,
“You’ve gained weight Yoongi-yah. I like it, you look so healthy.” His hand was roaming now, trailing up and down each thigh in turn and then dipping between them, even as Yoongi squeezed his legs together, seeking any sort of friction. Jin laughed against his neck, a soft, breathy sound, and nudged them back apart.
“Try and keep these here for me, won’t you baby?”
“Yes alpha.”
“That’s good.” Jin’s lips sealed against his mating mark and began to suck ever so lightly. Yoongi gasped, loud and sharp over the rain, and clamped a hand over his mouth, conscious of the lack of city noise drowning out the sounds of their passion.
“That’s very good, baby.” His fingers teased up over the swell of his mound, making him gasp and twitch against his will.
“I’ve got you,” his hand dipped lower, playing in the downy whorls of his dark pubic hair and drawing impossibly closer to where his little cock was a swollen nub, poised over slick lips.
“Jin-ah!” Yoongi’s loud whisper, “Please.”
“We’re okay, I’ve got you,” Jin repeated. He stroked his thigh, fingers skimming impossibly close to where he was wet and aching for him. He buried his face in Jin’s neck to muffle his cry when he finally touched him where he needed him. His fingers slipped over his cock, playing and rubbing with featherlight touches. Yoongi squirmed, spreading his legs further and clinging to Jin’s open shirt, mouthing wetly at his neck and gasping in that scent. It was turning muskier and darker with every passing second.
“I love you Yoongi,” Jin said, voice wavering as he stilled his movements momentarily.
“If you really loved me you’d put your fingers inside,” he hissed back. Jin let out a muffled groan that quickly turned into a laugh.
“God I missed you.” He moved ever lower, leaving Yoongi’s cock red and aching as he slipped amongst the fold of his pussy, brushing up and down his slick-wet, swollen lips with his fingertips.
“Don’t tease,” Yoongi let his bottom lip push out slightly as he stared up at him through unexpectedly damp lashes.
“I missed this so much, let me for a moment.”
“Please Jinnie. I’m on fire.”
“Okay baby, I’ll make it better.” Yoongi couldn’t help the grin that twitched at his lips. His alpha was a pushover. He slipped two crooked fingers inside, knuckles catching on every one of Yoongi’s curves and grooves as he easily slid through his slick warmth, hand eventually bumping against the lips of his pussy, and then he was moaning against Jin’s heated skin, trying to drown his own sounds by sucking on his neck. Yoongi didn’t need to use his words, Jin knew exactly what he needed. He pulled back and thrust in again, hard, hand slamming against his pussy as his fingers furiously worked inside. The room was filled with the wet squelching of Jin’s fingers fucking into him and his own muffled moans and sighs. He added his ring finger, and Yoongi felt the stretch, gasping when he curled them inside, pressing incessantly into his walls and triggering jolts of dull pleasure deep inside of him.
“Can I touch here?” Jin’s free hand moved from where it was resting against his leg up to his chest, bypassing his bandaged stomach entirely.
“Yes,” Yoongi arched when Jin brushed his nipples, teasing, goosebumps spreading over his skin. He slowed down the thrusting of his hand as he focused on Yoongi’s nipples, brushing back and forth over those aching buds with only the backs of his knuckles. He kissed his lips once more before moving down to the divot of his chin, his neck, the hollows of his collarbones, until he finally reached the gentle swell of his chest. It had been flat once, but had never quite gone back to what it was after he had the girls. He would had felt self-conscious if it weren’t for Jin’s worship of every change. Suddenly Jin’s lips closed over one of his dark nipples and he had to bite down on his bottom lip to keep from whimpering. Hot and tingling and so sensitive as Jin’s tongue began to make featherlight motions over the stiff tip and around his areola in steady strokes. Jin pulled his hand back again, plunging in too slowly. Yoongi’s wet sounds could be heard even over their joint panting and the patter of the rain. Jin popped off briefly to stare up at Yoongi, his black eyes blown and desperate, his hair a sweaty mess, and his mouth bright red and swollen.
“You’re soaked, Yoongi-yah.”
“Don’t let it go to your head.” Yoongi arched upward when Jin curled his fingers inside again. Jin let out a breathy laugh before sealing his lips over Yoongi’s other nipple, sucking softly.
“I need more, Jinnie please, I need it harder.”
“You’re sure baby?” Hot breath tingling over cooling spit, “why don’t we take it easy for now?”
“I promise I know myself,” Yoongi pressed his palm to Jin’s cheek, “I wanna come around your fingers. It’s been-” his breath hitched painfully, “it’s been too long and I need you.”
Jin made a soft sound at the back of his throat, pausing to take a breath before he hooked a free finger under Yoongi’s chin, forcing him to meet his gaze. His eyes were dark, but Yoongi could see the new set of his mouth as he slipped into a familiar headspace, it wasn’t even marred by the fresh tears welling up in his eyes.
“Then what do we say?” His voice dripped with familiar darkness. Yoongi’s entire body shuddered and his pussy spasmed around Jin’s fingers as he was suddenly transported back in time to a hot night under a sky of smog, twigs digging into Yoongi’s back even through the blanket. The air was thick and muggy and stank of gun powder but all Yoongi knew was Jin. His woodsy alpha smell, unmarred by the sweat and grime of the day, his strong arms holding him close, the warm comfort of his chest. They’d been hooking up for a while, and Yoongi was so in love that he was terrified of what this alpha could do to him. And then Jin had spoken, while their bodies were pressed into one form and their breath was a single cloud of shared heat. I want you to be my mate, I want to court you and honor you and buy you everything I can’t afford, and I should piss off and leave you alone because you deserve someone who can give you the world. And all I have is this, Jin had gestured at the blanket, the ground, their little alcove behind the bushes and beneath an overturned bench in the park, Yoongi’s favorite place to be, my hands are empty.
Yeobo, they’re not empty. Yoongi had pressed Jin’s palms into his own and held them against his chest.
I’m going to make this work for us, please say yes. Yoongi had found out he was pregnant with Hyun-Joo less than two months later, slightly expediting their plans. Jin bit him the very same night. But it was the look in Jin’s eye beneath that bush as they sucked in muggy air that played through his mind as Yoongi finally relinquished every guarded piece of himself to his alpha. His alpha. And when he leaned in close to Jin’s ear and whispered harder daddy, please. Because he couldn’t stop himself. And Jin snarled more ferociously than Yoongi had ever heard from his usually amiable alpha, and he knotted him as soon as the words left his mouth.
And now, in the present, as rain lashed the roof and Jin was looking at him with that same unmasked hunger, Yoongi knew just how bad he needed it.
“Please daddy, make me come.” Jin thrust into him so hard that Yoongi’s whole body twitched, arching to the rhythm of the frantic workings of his hand. All four fingers fucked into Yoongi’s pussy with a fervor while his thumb rubbed steady circles over the swollen nub of his cock. Yoongi squirted when Jin leaned in close, breath hot on his neck and whispered against his skin,
“Daddy’s always going to take care of you, my baby.” Jin thrust into him through the entirety of his quiet whimpers of “don’t stop” that Yoongi muffled against the heated skin of his neck, until his pussy stopped clenching around him, until his legs spilled open and every muscle in his thighs relaxed. Until he was flinching away from oversensitivity every time Jin’s thumb brushed lightly over his slick cock.
“Good boy Yoongi-yah.” He pressed his lips to Yoongi’s sweaty temple before he pulled out and sucked the fingers into his mouth. Yoongi groaned softly at the sight, and he clung to him even as Jin made to extricate himself.
“Gimme a second, I’ll be right back, I promise.” Jin slipped out from beneath the mosquito net, leaving Yoongi still shaking with the intensity of it. He returned quickly, a damp cloth in hand, which he used to wipe down Yoongi’s thighs, his pussy, his little cock, and finally the tears from his cheeks.
“Don’t you dare think I’m done with you yet,” Yoongi let his hand brush over where Jin was still tenting the fabric of his shorts, causing the alpha to jerk with a breathy laugh.
“Wouldn’t dream of it.” He pulled up Yoongi’s pants for him, despite his soft whine of protest, leaving the laces undone.
“But let me hold you for a minute, okay? Indulge me, let’s catch our breath.” Jin’s fingers tangled in the hair at the back of Yoongi’s neck as he pulled him close, forehead to forehead. Yoongi let out a shaky sigh, the thunder inside him momentarily sated, and when he leaned forward and captured the alpha’s lips in a soft kiss he could taste himself on his tongue. Yoongi could still feel Jin’s heavy erection where it pressed into his thighs, and he was squirming for it by the time they broke apart, panting.
“That does not sound like you are catching your breath to me.”
“All your fault,” Yoongi slung one leg over Jin’s hip and ground himself into that hardness, rutting furiously in a desperate attempt at friction.
“Sounds like a compliment to me,” Jin’s voice was light and teasing, if a bit strained from the intensity of his grinding. But Yoongi was already burning again.
“I hate you.” Yoongi pressed forward again, finally slotting the head of Jin’s cock against the swollen bulge of his own and jolting his hips forward, relishing in the delicious pressure with a quiet moan. Suddenly Yoongi was in motion, his body lurching as Jin easily flipped him onto his back and pinned him. Once again they were nose to nose.
“I said we were going to catch our breath. I will get you to rest by force if necessary.”
“Alpha,” Yoongi whined, making his eyes big and needy, pulling every trick he had at his disposal as he let his bottom lip swell into a soft pout.
“I just think I’d breathe so much easier on your knot.” He made his voice very small. Jin groaned and buried his face in the crook of Yoongi’s neck, nose rubbing in comforting circles over his mating mark, teeth occasionally nipping at his earlobe.
“I think you’re trying to kill me.”
“You underestimate yourself,” Yoongi pulled Jin’s face out of his neck and pressed a soft kiss to his lips.
“If I haven’t killed you yet-“ Yoongi continued, and Jin snorted out a laugh before he could even finish.
“You’re too cute for your own good Yoongi-yah. I’m going to be as gentle as I can, okay?” Jin reached down and held his hand over Yoongi’s mound through his pants. He could feel the steady warmth of it.
“I don’t think you know how to be anything else.” Yoongi closed his hand over Jin’s so that they were both cupping the heat of his sex, and used Jin’s fingers to add a little pressure. A vein of bright lightening vivisected the alpha’s face, his cheeks divided into shining sections by the trails of his tears. Just as Yoongi was tipping his head back to expose his throat to Jin’s eager teeth with a soft sigh, the sky split open and the whole house shuddered with the force of the thunderclap. Yoongi shoved Jin off in his haste to sit up, his head getting tangled in the mosquito netting as he fought to be upright. Jin wrapped his arms around him, urging him to be still even as twin shrieks of terror echoed from down the hall, followed almost immediately by the soft slap of bare little feet. Yuna and Hyun-Joo appeared in the doorway, hand in hand, their eyes bright white with fear. Yoongi waved them over without a word and they stumbled over each other in their frightened haste to get beneath the security of the netting.
“My babies, my girls,” Yoongi murmured continually as he positioned himself on his side, Jin at his back, pulling both of his daughters close to his chest.
“Don’t be scared, I’ve got you now.”
“I’m so happy you’re here Eomma, thunder would be so much scarier if you were all alone,” Yuna whispered, her breath hot against the skin of Yoongi’s collarbones. Hyun-Joo murmured her assent as she cuddled behind Yuna, her hair already a wild snarl from sleep.
“You’re worried about me being scared?” Yoongi asked as he pet both of their hair in even strokes, his heart squeezing painfully at the proof of their easy kindness.
“Of course, we’re not scared, right Yuna?”
“Right.”
“Of course you’re not, my good girls aren’t worried about a little thunder, but just in case, you can sleep the rest of the night with us okay?” Their little bodies visibly shuddered as they sighed in relief. And Yoongi too sighed at the relief of them being so near, their smell in his nest making him feel whole. His previous task of jumping his alpha’s bones was forgotten in the face of their need. Jin pointedly adjusted his pants before he spooned him from behind, his arm wrapping around Yoongi’s waist and settling on Yuna’s hip.
“Jinnie? Remember that miserable summer in Seoul when Joo was two and the cemetery by our building didn’t get its ice delivery on time?” Yoongi turned slightly to face him, whispering quietly at Jin in the dark.
“Yeah?” He adjusted again.
“Remember that smell?”
“God yes.”
“Well, think about that.” Yoongi turned back to his girls, burying his nose into Yuna’s hair. Jin snorted quietly.
“Yes sir.”
“Eomma?” Hyun-Joo reached over and pressed her little hand to Yoongi’s cheek. He leaned into her warmth.
“Baby?”
“Will you sing?”
“Why don’t you ask your Appa? He’s much better than me.”
“I like it when you sing, we haven’t heard you in so long.” Yuna peered up at him through the circle of Yoongi’s arms, her eyes wide and pleading. Yoongi swallowed around his dry throat,
“Sure baby, of course I’ll sing.”
