“You have an absolutely fascinating quirk,” Izuku said, smiling at the girl sitting in a metal chair across from him. He’d been skeptical when Aizawa had first recommended that he join a support group for people who had trouble controlling their quirks. His situation was too unique. No one else was likely to have a stockpiling quirk overpowered after being handed down for centuries, haunted by seven and half ghosts, and now approaching quirk singularity. However, the group was full of people with absolutely fascinating abilities. If nothing else, this had revived his interest in quirk analysis.
Ayaka blushed and touched her long, pink nails together. She was a few years older than him, with waist-length hair and a narrow face ending in a pointy chin. “Do you really think so? But Little Sister Instinct is a mind control quirk. My counselor says that there’s no ethical way for me to ever use it.”
Izuku considered this to be yet more evidence that quirk counselors were largely garbage. Ayaka had the ability to make anyone who she looked at believe that she was their younger sister. “Sure, it would be wrong if you went around convincing random people that you were related to them, but you could use the ability in self-defense if someone attacked you. It could be a way to diffuse a dangerous situation without anyone being hurt. I would argue that temporarily altering a criminal’s memories is less harmful than punching them or setting them on fire. Both of those are accepted methods to stop crime used by the former and current number one hero. Our society has strange standards.”
“But I haven’t had any luck using my quirk voluntarily. It only activates when I feel like I’m in danger. Then, I can’t help it.” Ayaka slumped down in her chair. The circle of people around her murmured in sympathy. Many of them shared that problem. She continued, “Someone at school started a rumor that I’m quirkless because I never use my ability.”
Izuku said, “Every quirk can be trained and enhanced. What did your quirk counselor tell you to do?” Something useless, he suspected.
Ayaka said, “He told me to practice altering people’s memories in smaller ways.”
“No, no, no! He’s completely misunderstanding the nature of your quirk.” Izuku shook his head. “You don’t create new memories. You slip into the spaces of people’s existing memories. That’s why people who already have little sisters start calling you by the name of their own sibling.”
“For people who don’t have younger siblings, sometimes I replace my target’s memories of their older siblings with the birth order reversed, or even friends. I can’t control it at all.”
“Hmmm. In other words, Little Sister Instinct does change memories, but as little as possible. That’s not its true purpose. Your power doesn’t just convince the target to see you as a little sister, it also makes them overprotective of you, right?”
She nodded. “They still remember their real siblings, though. Sometimes it even makes them more protective of their blood siblings too.”
“It’s a defensive ability, designed to protect you from threats.” Izuku’s fingers twitched as he spoke, as if writing in a notebook. Writing materials were forbidden in the group, which Izuku completely understood and agreed with. People wouldn’t feel like they could speak freely about their problems if someone was recording them. The movement was only a habit of his, to help him think. “Can you find a partner willing to let you test your ability on them?” He’d volunteer to help himself if One for All didn’t make him immune to mind-control. “First off, I’d suggest seeing if you can adjust how long your quirk lasts. Secondly, try to adjust the degree of overprotectiveness.”
Ayaka said, “My ability usually wears off after a few days. I’ve been trying to make it shorter. I don’t seem to have much control over how protective they get. It depends on the individual.”
“You’re probably magnifying existing protectiveness.” Izuku’s fingers twitched some more. “Thirdly, maybe you can make someone else the target of the protective urges instead of yourself. Most defensive quirks can be used to protect other people too, with training.”
“Really? I had no idea I might be able to use my power like that.” Her eyes lit up. In fact, her irises were literally glowing pink.
Izuku slapped a hand over his eyes. “Wait, not now!”
Ayaka hissed. “I’m sorry, I think I activated my quirk. I didn’t mean to.”
Still covering his eyes, Izuku said, “You were looking right at me, but my memories didn’t change.”
The older man sitting on Izuku’s right said, “I don’t see you as a little sister either, so I didn’t get hit.”
Miserably, Ayaka said, “No, I think I accidentally activated my power with Midoriya as the target to be protected instead.”
Izuku had already suspected that might be the case, hence why he’d closed his eyes.
Immediately, the group leader bellowed, “Midoriya, keep your hand over your eyes and remain seated.” The giant man had a bear mutation, giving him a deep and growly voice. “We have a quirk accident! Everyone file out of the room!”
The group stood up and gathered their belongings. Although still keeping his eyes closed, Izuku could hear the sounds of an orderly retreat. A support group full of people with out of control powers was accustomed to quirk accidents.
Ayaka said, “When I accidentally activate Little Sister Instinct, I have to avoid looking at anyone for an hour before it wears off my eyes.”
“Understood.” The group leader turned to Izuku. “I’m going to clear the building, Midoriya. If you stay alone for an hour without looking at anyone, then we’ll be fine. You won’t pick up any unwanted older siblings.”
Sightless, Izuku nodded. Speaking in Ayaka’s general direction, he said, “I’ll be fine. I can watch videos on my phone for an hour.”
Only when the door closed did Izuku finally dare lower his hand.
The first ten minutes passed peacefully. Izuku found a series of funny cat videos to fill his time.
Then Izuku heard a scream of pain, followed by a curse word. He was already on his feet even before he recognized the voice of the screamer—Shouto Todoroki.
Panic erased all thoughts of Little Sister Instinct from his mind. Izuku threw open the door and ran down the hallway. At the top of the stairs, Izuku froze. All for One, Tomura Shigaraki, and Dabi stood at the base of the stairway. A bit of blood flecked Dabi’s coat. The three of them looked up at him.
Izuku very abruptly remembered the quirk in effect on him. Which villain had he gotten?
“Yoichi?” All for One whispered, like a man locked up for a decade who had seen the first ray of sunlight fall on his face.
Tomura’s brow wrinkled in confusion. “Little…brother? I have a little brother? I have a little brother! You’re alive!”
“Little brother!” Dabi screamed, lunging up the stairs with his hands flaming blue. “I’m going to kill you!”
Just his luck, he’d gotten all three of them.
“You can’t kill my brother!” Tomura shrieked, tackling Dabi. All for One jumped over both of their bodies, only for Tomura to grab his leg.
Izuku turned and ran. Shouts and sounds of burning came from behind him. He ran faster. Three flights of stairs later, his brain reasserted itself. He couldn’t keep fleeing up, or he’d be trapped on the top floor. He needed to find Shouto, then get to the door and escape.
“Psst!” Shouto Todoroki opened a utility closet. “In here!” Shouto dragged Izuku into the closet, then put a mop over the doorhandle.
“You’re injured,” Izuku gasped. He ripped off his coat and fastened it over the burn on Shouto’s arm.
“Eh, I’m fine. I’ve gotten worse damage in training,” Shouto said.
“What happened?”
“I thought I saw my dead brother Touya Todoroki, so I followed him. Uh, it turns out that Dabi is my brother and he wants me dead because of unresolved daddy issues. I’d sympathize except I don’t see why he wants to kill me instead of Dad. He chased me into this building. His villain friends followed at a slower pace. They seemed to find the whole thing funny. Your turn. How did you end up here?”
Izuku could barely wrap his head around all of that. At least this explained why Dabi had been trying to kill Izuku, since he hated his little brother. Except wasn’t the quirk supposed to also make the victim overprotective? If Dabi had so much fraternal hatred he could even overcome mind control, then the villain was in desperate need of a shrink. “I got hit by a quirk called Little Sister Instinct, and now All for One, Tomura, and Dabi all think that I’m their little sister.”
For the very first time since they’d met, Shouto’s serious face cracked. His jaw dropped open. “Say what?”
“Sorry, they think that I’m their little brother.”
“That doesn’t make any more sense!”
“I don’t have time to explain. We can’t afford to get trapped in this closet.” Izuku started for the door. Who knew how long the villain fight would last? Then they’d be after him.
Shouto grabbed Izuku’s arm. “I dropped a keychain at the top of the stairs, to make it look like it fell off my backpack. I’m going to lure them to the next floor, then collapse the stairs.” Shouto gestured at the cleaning supplies the closet. “Using these chemicals and my fire, I can create an explosion.”
“Huh. That’s a good plan.” Izuku tapped his chin. “There’s no one else in this building to get hurt.” In order to escape, they needed to get past the villains to the lower floor, but Izuku had no illusions about his odds fighting against All for One. He still remembered nearly passing out from the villain’s mere presence at Kamino. It would be much better if they could sneak past. “If they don’t fall for it, then explode the chemicals to collapse the closet floor instead. I’ll catch you as we fall.”
Shouto nodded. “Got it. I texted our teachers and the police. The heroes are coming if we can hold out long enough.”
That was good to know. Izuku might not be killed right away because of the effects of Little Sister Instinct (except by Dabi) but Shouto would definitely die if they got caught. The two of them went silent, trying to even breathe with as little sound as possible.
Footsteps pounded up the stairs, past the closet. Tomura’s voice shouted, “Stop!” and Dabi replied with a curse. As their steps faded away, Izuku breathed a small sigh of relief.
From directly outside the closet door, All for One said, “Ever since I lost my eyes, I use infrared vision. I can see through walls, little brother.”
Izuku screamed, “Shouto, explosion now!”
Fire blasted from Shouto’s hand. The pile of bottles sizzled, but before they could go off, All for One moved faster. The villain punched straight through the wall, extinguished the flames with rain from a miniature thundercloud. Then All for One grabbed Izuku by the back of his shirt and lifted him up like a kitten.
“Let him go,” Shouto screamed, running forward as he summoned a wave of ice and fire.
All for One didn’t even seem to notice the hero student. Glowing white shields danced around him as Shouto’s attacks bounced off. Bringing his face close to Izuku’s, All for One crooned, “It’s been so long since I’ve heard your voice, little brother.” Joy and a darker emotion filled his tone. There was something off about the villain. All for One had always possessed a certain maniac energy, but now his whole body was twitching. His skin shifted rapidly, a scale or a feather bubbling up from his neck. All for One seemed on the verge of losing control of his quirks. This was bad.
Izuku swallowed. Acid twisted in his stomach. Maybe he could use this quirk effect to manipulate the villain. According to his analysis, it was a defensive ability. At least that seemed like a better plan than trying to fight All for One. “H-hi, big brother. If you’ll let my friend go, then we can talk.” Izuku desperately hoped to at least get Shouto out of this alive.
“Oh, you have a friend.” All for One frowned, and Izuku regretted reminding the villain of Shouto’s ongoing, futile attacks. “There’s always someone trying to take you away from me. Never again.” There was something very wrong with the villain. His eyes did not seem to be pointing in the same direction.
Izuku remembered his vision of the First locked up in a bank vault. Then he remembered the gruesome deaths of the Second and Third holders who had rescued the First. “Wait, there’s no need, I’m not trying to run,” he squeaked. “No one is trying to take me away.”
“Hi-yah!” Shouto shouted, punching the shield and giving lie to Izuku’s claim. He bounced off. The recoil sent him flying into the wall. Izuku didn’t dare look, didn’t dare draw any attention to his friend.
Dreamily, All for One said, “After I consume you, then we’ll be together forever.” He bit down on Izuku’s shoulder.
Blood spurted out, spraying across the closet wall. Izuku screamed.
In a confused tone, All for One observed, “You’re not a quirk ghost.” Drops of Izuku’s blood dripped down the villain’s chin.
“Nope! Not a quirk ghost!” Izuku gasped. He eats quirk ghosts? Oh my god, oh my god, it hurts. “I’m not edible! Look, I’m alive and well, aren’t you happy to see me? Let’s, uh, have a nice, long talk about our relationship somewhere else. Pay no attention to anyone else except me.” He tried to smile through his pain.
All for One tilted his head sideways. Madness gleamed in his eyes. “I’ll turn you back into a ghost, then eat you.”
Light exploded from the villain’s body. Izuku found himself standing in a shadowy realm that resembled the Void inside One for All. With a groan, Shouto got to his feet next to him.
All for One dropped Izuku to the ground. The villain grinned maniacally. His face grew and his jaw unhinged to reveal giant, white molars. The yawning tunnel of his throat was large enough to fit an entire person inside.
Holy shit, he is seriously going to eat me. Izuku screamed and reacted on reflex. Get away from me, get way! A giant steel wall appeared between Izuku and Shouto, and the villain.
Izuku stared. Did I do that? Instinctively, he knew that he’d caused the wall to appear with the power of his will and desperation. This mental landscape appeared to be malleable to control by anyone’s thoughts. While Izuku was at it, he imagined his shoulder healed, and the pain stopped. Fascinating.
All for One ripped through the wall like paper.
As the villain flew at him, Izuku threw up another wall, then another. He kept creating walls as fast as he could. This place was a test of willpower. All for One had more experience controlling it, but Izuku really, really didn’t want to be eaten.
“What’s going on? Where are we?” Shouto asked.
“Help me!” Izuku screamed. “Imagine there’s a wall between us and the villain! Now!”
With a puzzled glance, Shouto nodded. Both of their willpower combined, creating a dozen new walls. As All for One kept breaking them, Izuku kept throwing up new ones. He suspected All for One wasn’t thinking straight enough to concentrate properly or they’d be already dead. Sweat tricked down his back. How strange, that he had sweat here. Did that mean it would hurt to be eaten? Where were their real bodies? And what would happen to Shouto if he got trapped here alone with All for One after Izuku died? Izuku had many questions and he didn’t think he’d like any of the answers.
“All for One is your brother?” Shouto asked with the hopeful curiosity of a conspiracy theorist. “Then All for One wants to kill his father All Might. I never thought I’d have something in common with a villain.”
Izuku growled, “No! I told you, a quirk made him see me as his little brother. The quirk also is supposed to make the brothers protective over me but for some reason that part doesn’t seem to be working. Instead it made All for One want to eat me.” A horrible thought occurred to Izuku. “Uh, suppose someone who was already extremely yandere about family—like, lock your relatives up in bank vaults level of yandere—got hit with a quirk that turns normal people into yanderes. What do you think would happen?”
Shouto asked, “What’s a yandere?”
“Someone who’s crazily possessive—ax crazy, to be more specific.”
“Hmm, I suppose it would make him exponentially more insane?”
From behind the dozens of walls, All for One wailed, “Yooooooichi, there’s nowhere to run! Soon you’ll be part of me forever!”
Glumly, Izuku said, “That’s what I was afraid.” He gritted his teeth and concentrated on forming walls faster. Bits of his latest wall flew away in chunks. He deflected them with a thought.
Shouto stepped up next to Izuku, reinforcing his wall with a new one. “Yandere, what a cool term. Is my big brother a yandere because he keeps trying to kill me?”
Izuku dodged a flying wood chip. “No, he wants to murder you because he hates you not because he loves you. A fine distinction, I know. Count yourself lucky that he’s not trying to eat you. Apparently that’s a thing.”
A shadowy, soft blow struck the back of Izuku’s head. Terrified of a sneak attack, he looked over his shoulder, but saw nothing. The shadows of the Void dissolved.
Izuku blinked at the sudden light. He was back in the closet, lying against the wall. The pain from the bitemark returned with a vengeance. Apparently healing in a mindscape only worked as long as he remained away from his body. He took off his jacket, then tied the sleeve around his bleeding neck. All for One lay comatose on the floor, his tall body stretching backward out of the closet door. Unfortunately, Shouto was also motionless.
A mop lay fallen on Izuku. This must have been what he’d felt in the Void. The mop hitting him had woken him up. Unfortunately, that meant that if Izuku touched All for One, then the villain would wake up, too. It had been very reckless of All for One to use a quirk that left him in a comatose state. The villain clearly wasn’t in his right mind. Izuku knew he’d only survived this long because All for One wasn’t thinking straight.
Could All for One wake up from his self-imposed dream of his own will? Probably. As soon as he broke through the walls and realized that Izuku was gone, All for One would be after them again.
They had to get out of here. Izuku carefully edged around All for One’s body to grab Shouto’s shoulder. “Psst! Wake up.”
Shouto’s eyes snapped open. He looked around. “We’re back?”
Izuku nodded. “If we touch All for One, then he wakes up. We need to be fast and quiet.”
“Got it,” Shouto said. Following Izuku’s lead, he carefully stepped over the slumbering villain, into the hallway. The stairs were scorched and parts had been decayed. They had no choice but to move slowly.
A step broke as soon as Shouto put his foot down. He fell head-first down the stairs.
Biting back a cry—they didn’t want to attract attention—Izuku shot after his friend, heedless of the damaged stairs, his arm outstretched. Unfortunately, another stair broke under his feet. Izuku slipped to one knee, grabbing the banister.
Shouto fell straight into Dabi’s outstretched arms. “There you are!” Dabi cried, a wide grin on his scarred face.
Izuku screamed, “If you lay one finger on him then I’ll—”
“Aw, how is your arm doing, baby brother?” Dabi fussed over the bandage on Shouto’s burn. “I’m so sorry! It was an accident! I was trying to kill him.” Dabi cast a baleful glare up at Izuku.
“No, you were definitely trying to kill me,” Shouto said, attempting to pry Dabi off.
Dabi clung on tighter. “I’d never try to hurt you! I love you!”
Looking up at Izuku, Shouto asked, “Are you sure he’s not a yandere?”
“Maybe,” Izuku mouthed back. So far Dabi didn’t seem as bad as All for One—at least he wasn’t trying to eat Shouto. Presumably because Dabi hadn’t been as obsessed with family to begin with. Ayaka had said that her quirk increased existing levels of protectiveness. She’d also said sometimes her victims got more protective of their preexisting siblings too, so this wasn’t entirely unexpected. But why had Dabi tried to kill Izuku? Why did Dabi not even seem to remember attacking Shouto?
Dabi’s head shot up. Holding onto Shouto tightly, Dabi glared at Izuku. “You. You’re the one who replaced me. You stole my dad and my future as a hero. I’m going to kill you!”
“At least this is a refreshing change of pace from trying to eat me,” Izuku said. While Dabi monologued, Izuku kept edging closer, moving carefully down the stairs.
“Don’t!” Shouto cried, grabbing his older brother and holding him in place.
Dabi cried, “I have to! I’ll kill the part of you that I hate, little brother. Then we’ll no longer need to fight. We can stay together.”
What if Dabi’s brain had been unable to handle an urge to protect his hated little brother, so he’d split up his brother into two people? Izuku to kill, and Shouto to protect. It was a quite fascinating manifestation of the quirk, so interesting that Izuku barely dodged a wave of blue fire in time.
Shouto flung himself on top of his older brother. “Stop!” Ice coated them both.
“Be careful!” Izuku screamed, afraid they would bring down the already damaged building and/or wake up All for One. He could not risk using his own quirk for the same reason.
A new voice purred, “How dare you attack my little brother?” Tomura wrapped his arms around Izuku from behind. Izuku froze, horribly aware of those deadly hands touching him. Tomura crooned, “Don’t be afraid. I’m so sorry that I disintegrated you before, little brother. It was an accident. I don’t know how you survived, but I’ll never hurt you again. I’ll protect you forever.”
So Tomura had accidentally killed his family? How horrible. Izuku thought fast, trying to figure out how to get out of this situation alive and save Shouto. He still did not dare activate One for All.
Unfortunately, Tomura had no such qualms about fighting. He growled, “How dare you hurt my little brother, Dabi? Did you do this to him?” A deadly hand caressed the bloody jacket sleeve tied around Izuku’s neck.
“Get behind me, little brother,” Dabi growled, blue flames sparking.
“No fighting! You’ll bring down the roof on all of us!” Izuku screamed. “It wasn’t Dabi! All for One bit me! He’s asleep upstairs, and if you wake him up, we’re all dead.” He gentled his tone, looking up at Tomura with wide eyes. Hopefully he could appeal the protective instinct in the quirk by playing along with the villain’s delusion. “Please, big brother, help me. All for One tried to eat me. Yeah, I wish I wasn’t serious about that. See? I’ve got a bite mark.”
Tomura stopped moving. “Sensei has completely lost his mind. He started projecting all his past issues on my little brother. I have to protect my only surviving sibling, even from my sensei.”
Dabi growled, “I don’t want to fight that overpowered old man either. Fine, temporary truce. You take your little brother, I’ll take mine.”
“Agreed.” Tomura started to drag Izuku down the stairs.
Izuku winced. He didn’t want to be caught by a different villain, either. Tomura seemed better than All for One, but that was a very low bar to crawl under. More importantly, Izuku couldn’t let Dabi take Shouto. As soon as the quirk wore off, Dabi would murder Shouto.
As they passed, Shouto’s eyes locked with Izuku, silently asking for instruction.
Izuku was still afraid of waking All for One up, but he didn’t see that he had any choice. Looking straight at Dabi, Izuku screamed, “Dad loves me more!”
With an incoherent howl, Dabi lunged at Izuku. Tomura dropped Izuku to block Dabi’s attack.
“Run!” Izuku grabbed Shouto’s arm, and they took off down the hallway, toward the door. Based on Dabi’s rant, Izuku had made a lucky guess about how to infuriate the temperamental fire-user. While the two villains fought, hopefully Izuku and Shouto could get out before All for One woke up.
As if on cue, the roof of the building blew off. Dark tendrils crawled down the walls. All for One’s growl echoed off the ceiling. “Little brother…”
Just as Izuku flung open the door, the concrete front step cracked. The building shuddered, then lifted into the air.
Izuku didn’t think. He jumped. The landing sent shakes up his legs, as the building was already rapidly flying away. When he looked up, Shouto was ten yards high in the sky. Waving, Izuku shouted, “Jump! I’ll catch you!”
Shouto leapt out of the building. Behind him, Dabi’s hand reached forward, just missing the back of his shirt. Shouto landed in Izuku’s arms, knocking him a step backward. Then the building sailed away.
Part of the back of the building decayed. Izuku thought he saw one—no, two figures—hop off and land on a skyscraper roof. Just great, Dabi and Tomura were loose.
Of course, that was when the heroes arrived—too late to do anything useful. A police van pulled up the curb. Endeavor leapt out first, lunging for his son and crying, “Shouto!”
Shouto stuck out a hand to stop Endeavor from hugging him. “Go hug Touya, he might actually want you to. Touya is alive, but the way.”
Endeavor’s eyes widened. “Do you have a concussion?”
Izuku said, “No, I saw it too. Dabi is Touya Todoroki.”
The new number one hero fainted dead away.
More heroes poured out of the van. They fussed over Izuku and Shouto’s injuries. Izuku was barely able to convince them to go to U.A. instead of a hospital. He needed to stay out of sight for as long as it took this quirk to wear off. All for One would be back as soon as he realized he’d failed to nab Izuku.
After being healed by Recovery Girl, Izuku sat on the infirmary bed, scribbling in his notebook. Now that his shock had worn off, he wondered if this quirk accident might be an opportunity to capture All for One, Tomura, and Dabi. All for One had definitely not been acting on full mental capacity while under the influence. His deranged behavior had allowed Izuku to escape. This was a rare chance to capture the deadly villain.
The door opened, and Ayaka entered. She said, “Hi, Midoriya. Your principal asked me to come here to try and remove my quirk. Eraserhead already looked at me, but nothing happened. He thinks he might need to look at all the villains at the same time, which wouldn’t be easy to arrange. I don’t know how to undo my power, I swear. I’ve tried a million times and it never works.”
“That’s okay,” Izuku said, in a good mood now that he had seven different plans to capture All for One. “It will wear off in a few days.”
“Maybe sooner.” She smiled. “After all, how long my ability lasts depends on the level of obsessiveness in the target.”
Izuku dropped his pen. “What?”
Ayaka continued, “Villains are people without much care for others, even their own family, so I’m sure the quirk will wear off quickly. It’s not as if you coincidentally ran into three villains who all have sibling complexes. Then my quirk could last for years. If you got a villain who was already obsessed with his sibling then it might even last for decades. But what would the odds of that be?”
Izuku reached forward and grabbed Ayaka by her collar. He yanked her close, so that she looked directly into his eyes. Something in his gaze made her tremble. In a falsely bright voice, Izuku said, “There are no quirks that can’t be controlled, only people who don’t try hard enough. Now is time for you to learn how to remove your quirk! Never say never! Believe in the me who believes in you! You have no limits except the ones that exist in your imagination! I’ll be with you every step of the way. In fact, I’m not letting you leave until you get your damn quirk off me.”
Ayaka squeaked, “But you just said it was okay.”
“I was being polite. You can’t go around hitting people with uncontrolled quirks.” Izuku’s grimace became even more maniac. He did not like to think about All for One being obsessed with him for decades. Even if he somehow locked up All for One in Tartarus, he’d be constantly looking over his shoulder for another escape by the villain. With a shudder, he remembered those giant teeth. The new scar on his neck throbbed. “I’ll help you figure out how to remove your power. We can do it together. No, don’t try to get out of this by fainting! Dammit!”
OMAKE TIME!
Omake: If Shouto Got Hit with the Quirk Instead
Dabi: Excuse me? Back off, decay hands and potato face! Shouto only has one older brother and it’s me!

Dabi: Shut up or I’ll stop helping you escape from Tomura and All for One.

Omake: Good News and Bad News
Nezu: I have good news! Power Loader has built a mathematical model monitoring output from the electromagnetic waves around you. We think that the big brother quirk will wear off on Tomura in a year, Dabi in a decade, and All for One in ten billion years.
Izuku: How is that good news? I want better good news! Please tell me that All for One is about to blow himself up from inability to control his quirks after he lost his mind.
Nezu: Actually, Ayaka said All for One is likely to start thinking a bit more clearly after a few days adjusting to the influence. It worries me that he didn’t immediately come after you. That means he’s planning something.
Izuku: Where is my good news?
Nezu: The HPSC doesn’t know yet or they’d try to take you hostage to get at All for One.
Izuku: WHERE IS MY GOOD NEWS?

Omake: If This AU is Dad for One
Ayaka: I finally removed my quirk. Please don’t hurt me.
Izuku: What a relief. All for One will no longer be obsessed with me.
All for One: What a foolish child, getting hit with a strange quirk and nearly getting kidnapped by another villain. Time to go into the bank vault, ducky.
Izuku: Ayaka…
Ayaka: (Crying) It’s not my fault this time! I swear!
#This story would be the exact same whether it’s Dad for One or not #Because as soon as AFO gets hit by the quirk, he sees Izuku as Yoichi #But it would be rather cruel for Izuku if he got rid of the quirk and nothing changed except All for One got smarter about kidnapping him

Omake: Meanwhile Offscreen
Tomura: Who won the big brother contest this time?
Dabi: It was clearly me. I nobly held off All for One and Tomura long enough for both little brothers to escape.
Tomura: I haven’t seen that level of delusion since I encountered GlaDOS when I played Portal.
Author: You both lose! You can sort out who loses the most between the two of you. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to run away.
Izuku: (Distantly) Author, come out of hiding, I just want to talk.
