Not paid enough for this

Summary:

When Terrance clocked into work, the last thing they expected was for the subway to be absolutely packed. Actually scratch that, the last thing he expected was Emmet and Ingo in the tights.

Notes:

He/They for Terrance and He/Him for Mia!

Work Text:

Terrance decided they were not paid enough for this. He's only been working here six months and yet the sheer amount of people waiting to get on the double lines was getting ridiculous. You'd think there was a world ending event where trains were the only form of transportation.

They couldn't even get to their station easily. He needed to check in the teams for the trainers but the platform was so densely packed he was sure this was violating several safety codes. Actually, speaking of safety codes… Terrance let out a sharp and shrill whistled tune.

The crowd parted like water, well as best water could given it was in a nearly full container, for the team of security Stoutland.

“Everyone! We need a six foot distance at the least between each person for proper safety protocols! If you do not adhere you will be kicked out of this terminal!” They raised their voice as best as he could, though not nearly as loud as Boss Ingo could.

You would've thought he suddenly revealed the train was going to explode with how quickly everyone there spaced out. It was weird just how fast it happened. They normally weren't this well behaved, not even a single person came out to throw a fuss… Welp. He wasn't about to look a gift Zebstrika in the mouth and signalled the first person forwards to start checking teams. They noticed a rather unusual amount of people with cameras, maybe there was some sort of convention somewhere?

This…was getting weird. Okay don't get them wrong, they loved the extra time to work on their Poke Crossing Island, but they had three three people in total for the morning train to Castelia City. One of the busiest cities besides Nimbasa and only three people got on. Screw it. Poke Crossing put aside, he took to the news, surely there was som-

Poke Crossing gave out the alert that someone was visiting.

It was Boss Emmet. Must not be that may good battlers if the boss was visiting but they didn't mind. The boss always just gave Terrance items and Boss Ingo just liked to make patterns for the staff, it was honestly pretty adorable.

Snatching a cookie from the vending machine, Terrance headed to their 12 o’clock station to swap with Mia.

“Hey T! I wish you luck, it's just as packed as it's been all day.” Mia said as Terrance joined them at the check station.

“Yea I can see that, it was like this when I clocked. I'm asking for a raise if those two did somethin’ without telling us.” They put up a small fight with the cookie packaging before becoming the victor and taking one down in one bite.

Mia suddenly got a shit eating grin on his face. “Oh. Put in your request for a raise at lunch, Cloud and Oscar got their requests in already. And get a pic for me too will ya?” And with that, he left. Terrance has never been more confused.

Clearly they'd missed some sort of memo. Hopefully.

The break room was more sparse than usual, probably due to the extra traffic required more shifts being moved to the busier lines. Terrance grabbed his sandwich and soda from the fridge and took a seat.

When they were putting the final touches on their flower beds and working on the rest of the soda, the bosses walked in. A little late than usual but eh, nothing that unusual. They both gave a tip of the hat to him and Terrance gave a little wave in response.

He idly watched them over the top of their game, just their usual uniforms, though the coats were buttoned up. Surely that didn't cause the stir did it? The sound of a gift floating by distracted him and he turned back to their game.

Apparently looking back up was a mistake. Mid-drink Terrance looked up from Poke Crossing and then very very very nearly spit soda out. There was his bosses, his well respected and serious bosses, in the most revealing outfits he'd ever seen.

They'd both shed their coats and hats but what they had on was much more surprising. Emmet was sporting a blue one piece with same colored tights and dark grey high heels and white gloves. And on his head? Blue ears themed after a minu- and a tail. The suit had a little minun tail on the back and it nearly made Terrance inhale their soda, the few drops left after the previous close call.

Boss Ingo, the one he thought would say no to such an idea, that would be the sensible one, was dressed the same, in red. He was themed after a plusle with black gloves and white high heels. Ingo also apparently was very buff under the coat. Actually scratch that, they both were.

Terrance did not need to know his bosses were shredded. Did they both just lift Haxorus for a workout?? What in the world made them get that muscle.

Terrance went several minutes over their break but he got his pictures and learned that apparently it had been Ingo’s idea. He walked away from the break room with even more respect for the man, an agreement on a raise, and the knowledge that this will in fact become a regular thing.

He hopes the twins don't ever check their Twitter accounts ever again.
