Chapter Text

"If your lover doesn't have enough time to spend with you, or when you feel that they're giving you less and less attention... Then maybe that's an indication that he's starting to feel bland with your relationship. "

Riki scoffs, not finding the logic in the statement.

He didn't know how, but he seemed to have stumbled upon a radio podcast about relationships and shits. He knew full well that this wasn't helpful at all, but he proceeded to listen, boredom hitting him full time. Perhaps he could have a good laugh by listening to this ridiculousness. He could've switched to another station, but he's too lazy to even bother to find a better one.

"You see, after years of being together, the sense of comfort is likely to be higher than before, that the feeling of butterflies in our stomach is long gone."

That's nonsense, he thought. Yes, he and Jungwon have been together for years now. They'd gotten really comfortable with each other, but he still couldn't get rid of the giddy feeling in his chest whenever he was with him. It's not like he wanted it gone though. He likes it when Jungwon makes him feel things.

In all honesty, it's the whole zoo in his stomach that his boyfriend awakens in him, not a flimsy butterfly.

Just from Jungwon's smallest touches and loving gestures, from his deep stares and subtle glances, from the way he calls his name, from his softest smile, or simply from his short hums and nods, that's enough for Riki to faint in love.

"You might say this is complete crap, but do ask yourself, when was the last time you two were intimate?"

Riki pondered his thoughts. It's true that their relationship kind of lacks intimacy right now, but it's all because they're preparing for a comeback.

His boyfriend is too busy in regards to their group's success that their spending time together alone has reduced from few to none at all.

No more sweet talks and cuddles, no more hugs and kisses.

Riki, on the other hand, understood it and took pride by doing so. He's a busy man himself too. In fact, he has a lot on his plate right now, and he knows Jungwon is handling twice as much as him.

They do have a lot of priorities at the moment. And being all lovey-dovey isn't one of them.

He's not some kind of a selfish, overly-obsessive boyfriend or the type to get all sad and angry from the lack of attention. His love for Jungwon is stronger than that. As much as he wants to hog his boyfriend all to himself, he knows his limits too.

"If the lack of time and intimacy continues, then who knows? Maybe that'll result in a cool down or worse, a break up."

Riki couldn't help but gasp at the idea of breaking up. He felt like throwing his phone and earpods away from him as far as possible, but the revelation seemed to have sucked up his energy to do so.

He already established the whole thought of being together forever, so breaking up doesn't make sense at all. He knows it's a trivial thing for them, something that will never 'ever' happen, yet he couldn't erase the thought of it.

Him and Jungwon, on separate paths. Him and Jungwon that's not together.

No.

Riki felt his heart clench tightly, followed by unsteady, heavy breathing. His mind has gone haywire, totally a mess just by thinking about the possibility that things might end between them.

He couldn't accept it, he wouldn't.

"That's why you should step up your game. Do some little experiments. Lucky you, I have some tips and instructions to spice things up. After all, thrills are a special ingredient in making the relationship even stronger. I swear to my soul that after all of this, your lover wouldn't be able to think of even leaving you. "

He nods in agreement. He might really need to level things up between them, so the thought of separation wouldn't even cross Jungwon's mind. He has to give Jungwon everything he's got, to make him realize he's a major need to the point that he couldn't live a life without him.

Riki gathered a pen and a notepad, ready to list down all the things he had to do in order to get Jungwon by his side forever.

A few minutes had passed and he had everything jotted down on his notes. Riki's face is flushed from embarrassment of what he's about to do, and his heart is thumping loudly in his chest due to nervousness.

Fuck.

He has made up his mind.

There's no turning back now.

"Just so you wait, Yang Jungwon. I'm gon na get you all crazy for me. "
