Hi! If you’re reading this I don’t own the rights to ANY of the spanning compilation of Final Fantasy VII series. I decided to make this the first chapter as I didn’t want to make a GIGANTIC ‘notes at the beginning of the story’ you’d have to scroll through as this will tell all of what will happen for this story as a….info chapter?
With that being said: this work is a labor of love….from my jumbled mind and daydreaming for 16 years. So this work naturally has an original character that is HEAVILY inspired….fuck it 100% inspired from my self (so self insert). Everyone’s finally coming out of their shell and doing it one these days so why not actually put my locked up thoughts onto digital paper.
These series events are going to transpire most of the FFVII timeline (barring Before Crisis because JEEEEEEESUS) but ignoring REmake since it’s its’ own entity and will be using OG 7’s storyline.
Spanning this timeline will take…a WHILE, and first up we’re here to make First Soldier the mobile battle royale game canon, how exactly do you write a fanfic with a game that has players of all kinds just shooting at each other to become number 1?
VERY…..simply as I can’t list actual player names but can take my own experiences from playing and translate them into writing while diving into the thicker part of the VII universe of what goes on when not on the field, how the field works, fighting works, rankings, what do they DO in their often and how will the SOLDIER system work if they’re just candidates to be considered for the soon to be tiered SOLDIER rankings? Where the heck are Angeal, Genesis and Sephiroth since this is well before their time as the top 3?
Those answers will come later and then maybe a development between actual canon characters and my OC. I’ve had a looooooot of years to think, and can’t believe a battle royale game is what pushed me to actually write said story down with the first of it being from the matches and mishaps that happen during the First Soldier training process.
There will be comedy, a lot of cursing because who wouldn’t get mad if you were in the top 3 but get shot down from becoming number 1 or someone doing you dirty so you’re ousted of the SOLDIER listings. Fantasy violence that depicts graphic visuals of ‘someone getting shot in the head’ but no blood pouring out of the wound and all wounds being visibly apparent digitally with SOME blood.
Cant have Soldier candidates who signed up for this riddled with bullet holes right?
I’ll end this by saying, Axyl Shockwire, is African-American, like me, 4 feet 9 inches tall and older than she looks just because of her stature. That would be me in a nutshell.
An OC created to go through the games as if she were there, but not known, I’m finally living my ‘Sephiroth gets a friend FFVII’ dream 15 years later but with added steps into the friendship.
If any of this is a problem to you, the back button is right there but with how I’ve seen recent creators come out and finally just write what they want no matter what the audience, I decided to finally delve into it.
So if you’ve made it THIS far without eye rolling, I welcome you to what will be 100% sporadic on updates as I write this from my phone, having a full time job and thinking about ‘how well would this word go here’.
But I do hope for this to be fun to read going through the motions of rankings and doing matches. First Soldier IS a fun battle royale game and I only tried it because hey Final Fantasy, why not try it once? (Gets hooked)
So now I’ll leave you with EXACTLY what Axyl looks like taken from the game itself…but imagine 4 foot 9 inches and longer hair. Starting out candidate outfit is great huh? I plan to have chapters at the top, of what the attire she’ll be wearing for visual purposes. These outfits are taken straight from the game and what I can BEST describe as her true attire since the most actual attire I want would have to be drawn for it to come to life!
