"Oh, beauty...just how did manage to make the beast weep for you?"
When someone long for a deceased beauty, a beauty he treasured so much, he will see her in everything, never letting her soul go.
But he can not stay in this dark castle of his forever, and she no longer belong to the mortal realm...they have to let go someday; they must let go to go on living.
"Oh, how I wish to live like this for the rest of my life, but we can't live like this, can we?"
"Maybe, this is just fate dark design"
The more they hold onto each other, the more it hurts...the more they hold hands, the more tears fall from his eyes; for he always get reminded of how he almost saved her in that fateful day every time he hold her cold, white hand; if only he was faster, stronger, wiser...would he had the chance to save her?
But he's no perfect creature nor the world has such super natural things.
He was a merely weak, ordinary human so he had no choice but to blame fate.
And right now, fate is making fun of them again.
They knew that they can't go on like this and yet they tried, maybe they were just scared of letting go?
But now...now is different, they will play the last song before they part ways and wait for fate to bring them together again; is that really all he can give her tired soul? A song?
On the night of farewell, they prepared themselves to enter the music room and play the melodies they once played when she was still here. Just how long did he not enter this room?
After she passed away, he'll always stand facing the door and leave after recalling all the beautiful memories they had while playing their insturments; they are such beautiful happy memories and yet...they brought him so much pain.
When he faced the door, he felt like leaving... but she was here, how could he turn on his word in front of her?
She saw his hesitation and put her hand on his shoulder and gave him a beautiful smile with her trembling lips, she always gave him the courage and now is no difference.
With a long sigh he put his hand on the metal cold door, the coldness spread through his hand making him shiver a little and with little force the door opened making a sound that echoed through the lonely room.
"..."
There was nothing but some boxes and the smell of dust; and there was his piano and her violin painted in the color of moon light from the large window.
Silently, he sat on his chair and took a deep breath, he realized that maybe she too, was struggling to play this song of eternal farewell when he saw her trembling while holding her violin.
With a psst he made her look his way, and gave her a comforting smile...they both smiled through the sadness and silently comforted each other this whole trip to the music room.
A fascinating melody echoed through not only the music room but through the whole lonely dark castle as if its comforting everything that witnessed this tragedy.
He shed tears but did not care to wipe them, she made countless mistakes with the notes but they did not stop playing, they must go on.
The sun rose and with it her soul rose to heaven leaving him...a violin.
-End.
