Chapter 1: The Beginning

Chapter Text

There used to be a world where despite wars and poverty taking reign, it was still a place that was peaceful to the privileged. They had all the power that they wanted or ever needed, but yet, they needed more.

They needed something that would take them closer to God, whether to be Him or to meet Him, one would have to look at their intentions.

Slowly, but progressively, the humans known as God’s favourite children became greedier, running amok between their own kind and creating havoc everywhere they go, everywhere they touch, everywhere they look.

But when the world has come to reach its peak in destruction and immorality, the four True Alphas finally decided that enough is enough.

With their appearance, a true war has finally come to those that wanted it, craved it, and demanded it.

It happened in flashes, too quick to be retaliated and yet too slow to be fully comprehended. Nobody knew what really happened nor did they know who they were but by nightfall, most of the humans had fallen to the four True Alphas.

The selected thousands that lived however was well warned that if anything like this ever happened again, then all of them shall be eradicated without mercy.

The humans fled naturally, going back to their lives that changed forever, even if it is for the better. Fear is better than misguided bravery.

Leaving the humans, the four True Alphas are well on their way back into hiding, until two of them chose to stay behind, wanting to take their own reign on their Father’s land while the other two quietly continues on their journey, not wanting to take part in the world that they were not welcomed to.

The moment the two True Alphas walk amongst the humans, they immediately adopted a look that is easier on the human eyes, almost enchanting them with their beauty so they can be accepted much more easily.

Before going their separate paths, both of them stray away from the humans that were already attracted to them and instead chose a private place at the entrance of a forest.

“I hope this does us well, Sekhmet.”

Sekhmet’s eyes began to glow a beautiful hue of blue as he was gazing at the other alpha, mesmerised by his look.

“Remember me Enyo, as there’s not a moment where I won’t think of you.”

Enyo opens his mouth to utter something in return and yet nothing comes out. He looks at Sekhmet and sees the new face and something inside him breaks.

Sekhmet must’ve noticed because suddenly his newfound lips are claimed right in the open, feeling the careful yet urgent warmth seeping through it. Enyo breathes out a sigh when Sekhmet backs away, eyes still gleaming the same shine. Enyo finally smiles.

“If you forget me, I’ll find you.”

Enyo can only nod in reply, knowing that it’s both a promise and a threat. He doesn’t trust that his words would give a better response.

Sekhmet looks satisfied by his answer, taking one last look at Enyo’s face before he takes off, not even looking back towards him before he joins the previous group of humans that followed him.

Enyo stares at his back a few seconds more before going into the forest, relishing in the new earthy smell.

*****

Sekhmet doesn’t remember much from the time he was born but he remembers the exact same time he felt something close to hatred, the first time he felt anything remotely close to what his Father calls emotions, something that his kind lacked, or so He says.

He’s always hated the humans, simply because of what they represented, something that was somehow better than them, the True Alphas who are much more superior genetically and pretty much everything else.

Humans were weak, easily guided by their endless emotions and yet always using their knowledge to do the most terrible things. Things that Sekhmet wouldn’t even do, at least until he’s prompted to do so.

So, he and his brothers were different, they were God’s first children, they were a perfect reflection of God himself and yet, the moment the humans were created, they were tossed aside.

Now, a few weeks after the Great War, Sekhmet walks comfortably amongst them, watching their every move at a much closer distance and it’s a certain appeal that he doesn’t exactly hate.

He doesn’t really know what his plan here in this new part of earth, the parts where his kind were forbidden to enter, to conquer, simply because his Father said so. All he knows is that it’s a fresh breath of air, and he’s excited to see where it leads him. Whether he falls or rises, its an experience he’s willing to go through.

Enyo comes to his mind almost immediately. A smile wordlessly takes over his face.

Out of all of his brothers, Enyo was the most beautiful, be it his true form or any of his other forms.

They’ve had their moments when they were barred and Sekhmet likes to hold onto those memories, remembering the second emotion he ever felt, something akin to love.

While walking, he’s taken a pause in his steps, both his blood and ears ringing towards a certain direction. His feet follows unconsciously and before he knows it, he stops a few feet away from a couple of men.

With a quick sniff and general feeling, it’s an Alpha and Omega couple.

Sekhmet smiles in satisfaction, another thing that he’s glad to see is gradually changing.

Humans, as God created, did not come with secondary genders like him and his brothers. They simply didn’t need it, or so He thought.

Sekhmet realizes pretty quickly during his first few weeks roaming around, getting a feel of everyone around him that they’re changing.

One of God’s warnings that the reason they had to stay away is because the True Alphas were like poison, bleeding out their characteristics so it can be seeped in by the untainted humans.

Sekhmet believes it now.

He believes it now more than ever from what he’s currently seeing.

They’re happy, or at least that’s what Sekhmet thinks what happiness looks like. The taller, paler man seems to adore the shorter, tanner man and Sekhmet’s suddenly hit with a fond memory of what he feels of Enyo.

He steps forward towards them, already flaring up his glamour, complete with a charming smile on his face.

Both of them turned to him immediately, as if they’re just as mesmerized by their connection, but deep down, Sekhmet knows that it’s probably just his glamour.

“What’s your name, Omega?”

Sekhmet’s immediately more drawn towards the tanned one, recognizing that he’s the Omega, and Sekhmet is just fascinated by it. The man is by far not the first omega he met, but he is definitely the first male omega that’s managed to charm him this quickly.

“Apo.”

Sekhmet smiles, assured that he’s found the right omega. He reaches his hand forward, feeling the skin on Apo’s face, smooth and untainted. His insides feel warmth, briefly seeing the future they’ll have together.

However, no omega will ever replicate what he feels of Enyo.

Still holding onto Apo’s face, Sekhmet turns to the other man, the Alpha, one whose watching him very warily, probably thinking on why his lover is being touched by another but the glamour preventing him from doing anything more.

“What about you, Alpha?”

The Alpha opens his mouth but then closes it, breaking eye contact with Sekhmet and instead stares at Apo. His facial expression seems conflicted, as if he’s fighting what he should do and what he wants to do.

Sekhmet finds that to be more fascinating. He takes off his hand off of Apo’s face and instead beckons the other man closer.

The Alpha this time doesn’t fight at all and comes hither.

“Name?”

“Mile.”

Sekhmet can’t help but grin at how easy it is. Mile is heavily affected by his own omega.

They’re perfect for Sekhmet. It’s been decided.

“From now on, you’re mine.”

He says to Mile before grabbing Apo’s hand. He then makes a show of it to Mile.

“As will be your omega. If you don’t follow me, you’ll never see him again.”

With that, Sekhmet doesn’t even bother looking back as he leaves with the omega, hand gripping tight, definitely not letting him go if this little Alpha experiment go awry.

But to Sekhmet’s glee, he hears the footsteps following behind him, and once again, love prevails.

*****

Enyo ends up staying in a village deep inside the forest that’s completely untouched by the war him and his brothers initiated. It’s beautiful, full of kind humans and happy children. It’s both tragic and a blessing that they truly believe in the fact that ignorance is bliss.

When he first arrived, they were surprised and wary of him, which is expected but it only took them approximately three days to be accepting of Enyo, welcoming him into their family.

He feels happy for it, and yet, he feels guilty of the fact that they don’t know who they’ve just invited into their circle, they don’t know that he’ll end up turning them all to be just like him, an imperfect yet powerful being.

It’s been weeks since then, and Enyo can practically see the change in the pack, yes, this is now his pack, he’s decided, whether they know it or not.

The change in their smell, their body, their mind, it should make Enyo feel disgusted by himself, for doing this to the humans that his Father adored, but he feels absolutely ecstatic.

He’s surrounded by his future, a future that is far more stable than a future with Sekhmet, a relationship that was an abomination from the beginning till the end, he sees it now. There would be no future in being bedded by a brother, no matter how eternal it will be.

He’s taken out of his daydream when an omega takes a seat next to him.

Enyo smiles as he turns to her, recognizing her as one of the omegas that’s loyal to him.

“I feel warm.”

Enyo hums before taking her hand inside of his.

“The kind of warmth that you need my help with?”

She nods and Enyo gives another smile. She’s by far not the first omega he’s taken to bed and definitely not the first omega he’s taken during heat but she’s pretty, and she’s sweet, far from what Sekhmet represents.

So, he indulges in every omega, and one day, he’ll have the next Alpha for his kind that comes from his seed.

It’s the next step for improving mankind, the next right step.
