Chapter Text
Trigger (Zankyou no Terror Opening)
With heaving lungs, two small children ran as far as their bare feet could take them. Little lungs heaved for oxygen and their thoughts were running as fast as they were. Once they deemed themselves safe, they looked at each other, sadness ebbed into their irises. Though they had left their only “home”, there was a sense of relief that washed over them. The two boys broke eye contact and looked at the clear blue sky above them. How huge...
Years later, the same boys looked at each other with the same expression. Glasses framed one set of eyes while the others were decorated with longer lashes, and dark circles. The same sadness was there, but it was older, more wiser. There was no sense of relief to aid their mental state. There were only fleeting minutes when they could relax until the anxiety of duty filled their veins. Where there once was relief, was now a weight on their shoulders; the weight of their past.
The world was huge. For two boys with dying minds, it was too big to explore. With each street, lay another couple hundred people with their own preoccupied lives. The two boys were just specks in the dust storm that was the world. The world, however , wasn't too big to remember them. The two boys would make sure with everything they had gone through would be remembered throughout history. The world was balanced on a thin needle and they were ready to blow it away.
