Chapter Text
It was nearing 11 PM and the party at the Seo manor was still in full swing. The house seemed to be vibrating from the collective beats of the music and the dancing bodies present. There were beer bottles littered all over the vicinity and the house was covered with a subtle haze of smoke. In every other corner of the dim-lit house, there were drunk teenagers making out while some had taken the party outside to the pool, and were now skinny dipping.
This was not exactly how Han Jisung usually spent his Saturday nights. On a normal Saturday, he would be in his room with his roommate Jeongin and they would be watching a marvel movie while they ordered Chinese take-out.
However, this evening Innie had dragged him to party meant mostly for the seniors and as Seo Changbin put it, cute freshmen. Though he was flattered to be put into the second category by the handsome host, he would still prefer the comfort of his dorm rather than this extravagant soireé.
Innie had disappeared long ago, greeting several people he said he hadn’t seen in a long time. So here he was, in one of the corners, nursing his still filled cup of beer.
As he stood there, cursing Jeongin and changbin for dragging him into this mess, his eye caught an altercation happening on the other side of the room. A senior had innie’s collar in his hold and appeared to be shoving him around.
Jisung sighed and then looked around to see if anyone was paying attention to him. Finding nobody, he concentrated on the space near the feet of the senior and gave a little jerk of his head. Almost instantaneously, the carpet pulls away from underneath his feet making him land right on his face.
Everyone in the near vicinity burst out into peals of laughter, while innie catching jisung’s eye gave him a grateful smile.
You see, Han Jisung was a witch, which was a little surprising considering he came from a family with a long line of werewolves. That’s how he he knew Jeongin and Changbin, both being from ally werewolf clans.
“That was a neat trick,” he hears a familiar voice and turns to see changbin leaning against the wall, grinning.
“I didn’t do anything, it’s all physics’,” Jisung says with an innocent smile plastered on his face.
“Sure, and I’m a fox not a wolf,” changbin says laughing even harder.
“Sure binnie, just announce it to the entire party,” innie says rolling his eyes as he joins them.
“I can see that you two are having fun, so I will be right back, need to entertain and all you know, being the host,” says changbin as he disappears into the crowd, not before winking at Jisung.
“I can’t believe after all these years of flirting, you still won’t date him,” innie says, shaking his head.
“He was flirting with me ?!”
“Han Jisung you might be a genius and a powerful witch but you are truly an idiot,” innie huffed before going to get himself another beer.
Jisung continues to stand in his corner, ignoring the rest of the drunk teen drama playing out in the party, when he feels hot breath fanning right on his neck. As he prepared to elbow the person encroaching on his personal space, he hears a velvety voice.
“It’s such a shame that such a pretty thing is standing all alone here.”
Jisung turns around to be faced with the most beautiful man he had ever seen. He had cat-like eyes and the palest skin colour he had ever seen. There was a smirk playing on his lips as he checked Jisung out.
“It’s such a shame that I’m not alone anymore,” Jisung snarks back, though a little intimidated by the beautiful stranger.
“You’re a feisty one, aren’t you?,” the stranger laughs.
“Anyway, where are my manners? I’m Lee Minho, a friend of Changbin’s.”
“Why aren’t you with him then?”
“Well I was, but then I got distracted by you,” Minho says, wearing a flirty smile.
Jisung felt his cheeks getting hot at that comment but he pulled himself together and looking Minho right into his eyes said “well I don’t blame you honestly, not everyone can resist Han Jisung.”
“Well at least I got to know your name beautiful” Minho smiles.
“Well that’s the only thing you will know about me,” Han says as he tries to sashay to another corner but feels hands holding him back.
“Well instead of jumping from corner to corner in this godforsaken party, would you like to come see the stars with me?” Minho asks with another charming smile.
“I don’t even know you, for all I know, you could be a mad axe murderer,” Jisung says clearly flustered at the invitation.
“You will know me soon enough. And even if I was a murderer, you are too pretty to kill.”
At that, clearly burning red from the endless flirting, jisung says, “Fine let’s go see the stars, lead the way.”
He follows Minho through the throngs of grinding bodies, with the other maintaining a firm grasp on his arm. They take the stairs to the first floor, where Minho proceeds to lead him out the double doors to a spacious balcony.
“Well you were right, this is better than the party,” Jisung says with a grin which drops as quickly as it came, when he sees Minho locking the doors to the balcony.
“What are you doing?,” Jisung asks with his eyebrows raised.
“I’m surprised a smart boy like you didn’t see this coming,” Minho says as he steps towards the shivering male.
Jisung starts to back away, hoping this is just binnie playing another one of his stupid pranks while his eyes scan the area for an escape route.
Finding none, he finds himself pinned between Minho and the railing as Minho starts to lean in.
Fight or flight kicking in, jisung kneed Minho in the balls and made a mad dash for the door but stops in his tracks when he finds Minho right in front of it.
“Bad move love, haven’t your parents taught you never to kick a vampire ?” Minho says grimacing from the pain.
“A what?,” Jisung says sounding a lot calmer than he feels. He had heard about vampires from his older brother but had never actually met one and from what his brother had told him they were bad news.
Before he could comprehend what was happening, Minho had sunk his teeth into his wrist. Screaming he tried to get away but as he manages to get his hand free, Minho stomps on his ankle hard.
Jisung hears the crack before he feels the pain. Letting out a shrill scream, he tries to drag himself away from the psychopathic vampire, but is pulled back by his ankles.
Minho, keeping a firm grip on the screaming boy’s jaw, presses his wrist (which Jisung notices is now bleeding) against the latter’s lips and forces him to drink the blood.
Jisung feels the bitter metallic taste flood his mouth as the blood makes way into his system. Regaining his senses, he bites down hard on Minho’s wrist and wrenches himself free.
“What the fuck is wrong with you, you psycho?,” Jisung screams, paralysed by the pain in his ankle.
“Curse all you want, but when I’m done with you, I will be the only one you love,” Minho says with a loving smile, right before he picks Jisung up by his neck and tosses him over the railing.
A dull thud is heard.
Minho smiles a sinister smile as he looks over the railing at the lifeless corpse.
“This time, you will finally be mine.”
