a spot of murder before dinner

Summary:

Remus takes his job of protecting Sirius very seriously.

Notes:

I will be adding to this if there's a demand!

Work Text:

Remus looks down at the other Alpha as he writhes on the floor, howling in agony. A trail of blood stains the floor deep read where the man is dragging himself over towards the phone in the corner.

It’s no use. Remus has already taken care of the phone. He’s taken care of everything, actually. He’s made sure that they’re in a place where no-one will hear what is happening.

“Why did you do this?” the man asks, discarding the phone after pulling it to his ear. No doubt realising that the phone is not connected.

“You’re harassing someone important to me,” Remus says, glancing down at the knife in his hands with a cool detachment. He holds it away from himself, not wanting to get blood on his clothes. That won’t do at all, because Sirius loves this cardigan. “You’re scaring him, stalking him, and I’m not going to let him fear the likes of you.”

“What? That cute little Omega? You’re his Alpha?” The man somehow manages to laugh despite the blood flowing from his stomach. The chuckle turns into a grimace though, and Remus manages a slight smile.

“Not mine,” Remus confirms. “But yes, if anyone could be considered his Alpha, I’m the closest he has. You see, you’re not the first Alpha to cause this sort of trouble, and when someone hurts my Sirius… I make sure that they stop being a threat.”

Remus steps forward, careful to avoid any of the blood on the floor. He strides over to the man and grabs him by the greasy mullet and yanks his head back. The man’s hands scramble against Remus’ grasp, and Remus smirks as the man realises how futile this is. The look of horror dawning on his face.

“So you murder anyone who shows him any interest?” the man spits.

“No. Only the ones who treat him like you do,” Remus confirms. “And I decided yesterday that you need to stop being a problem. Perhaps you should have treated Omegas better.”

He uses his grip to yank the man’s head back harshly. The other Alpha's nails claw at Remus' gloved hands desperately. With his other hand, Remus brings the knife forward, aiming straight for the man’s throat.

The body falls to the floor and Remus backs up. He has a stain on his cardigan, which is so very disappointing. He’ll have to soak this in water immediately.

“I’d stay and watch the life leave your eyes, but I don’t want to leave him alone any longer,” Remus tells the form on the floor. He’s twitching, eyes opened so wide that it makes Remus shudder. "We've got plans to get a take-away and watch a film, and... well, you're rudely wasting my time."

Remus turns to leave. Sirius is safe again, like it should be.
