Work Text:
I left what was supposed to be my home. I took my savings out of Gringotts and I ran. I think I was tired of living for other people.
And then I met you, one night at a pub I was staying above, and you got me a drink and I got lost in you.
So much has changed since the war. We've changed.
I'm not sure when it started, maybe it was at the bar that night, or when you took me home and I ended up staying for a week. A week that turned into a month, that turned into two months, and then- now- five months later, I know how you take your tea, and your coffee, and that you're actually really good at cooking.
And I know that your lips are soft, and your hands are callused from flying when you stay at The Burrow for the weekend. And I know that you make really bad jokes, and Molly taught you how to host, how to pick the right flowers, the perfect pot of tea; Hermione taught you how to braid Teddy's hair when he wants it so, and that you asked her to teach you because you wanted to braid mine (you really could've asked me... I wouldn't have minded).
And I know that... after five months of spending time with you and your family, I'm home at last.
