Shen Quinqui had always felt he was destined to be alone.

Left for dead as an infant, unwanted. Abandoned by the one person he devoted himself to and considered family only for said family to die trying to save his miserable self. Never finding a place in his sect and subject to unfounded rumors. Accidentally killing his shidi while trying to save him, despite their hate-fulled rivalry. Misunderstood by his marital family and those around him. Unable to open up for fear of rejection. Envious and jealous of the good fortune of those around him.

Tortured for decades by the disciple he ignored and kind of abused, he was left suffering while so many cheered for his demise.

Death had come as a relief.

So why was he awake in this strange new world filled with new technology and strange slang. Why did his second chance seem like a horrible repeat of his life?

And why were the others popping up with memories of their past?

I've been reading a lot of fanfic for this fandom, so the original link was lost and I can't credit the person who originally made it for inspiring me to write this.
I'm also a little out of date with chinese terms, so forgive me for making mistakes on how peeps formally/informally address each other.
Definitely will be more ships, but the main two that I'm focusing on are Liu Qingge/Original Shen Qingqiu and Original Luo Binghe/Shen Yuan

Here's a list of the characters. Some of them I've looked into/borrowed from other fanfics because they aren't listed.

Shen Mingyu and Xu Liqin: Shen Yuan's parents. Company owners, rich people lol

Shen Yueqi: Oldest brother to Shen Yuan. Works with stocks, social media, construction, etc. Slowly taking up family business

Shen Ruolan: youngest child and sister to Shen Yuan. Playful and eager to take up fashion and business on mother's side.

Shen Yuan: main character in the Scumbag System Novel that took over Shen Qingqui's body. Sickly young man, but nice and can be sarcastic for those he loves

Shen Qingqiu/Shen Jiu/Xiao Jiu: main antagonist of Proud Immortal Demon's Way. Peak Lord of Qing Jing Peak on the Cang Qiong Mountain sect. "Scumbag Master" of Lou Binghe. Bearer of the Xiu Ya Sword. Specialized in spiritual cultivation and the Four Arts, known as the scholarly peak. Definitely wasn't given any justice and I love him

Yue Qingyuan/Qi Ge: Cang Qiong Mountain Sect Master, Shen Qingqiu’s senior apprentice-brother, ‘Xuan Su Sword." Technically Shen Jiu's sworn brother

Liu Qingge: War God and Peak Lord of Bai Zhan Peak. Liu-shidi (affectionately) brother to Liu Mingyan. Specialized in physical cultivation. Rivals to Shen Qingqui because of the rumors and his perceived arrogance/lack of morals. Killed in a qi deviations by Shen Qingqui by accident, though it's never cleared up and is one of the damning pieces of imprisoning Shen Qingqui

Mu Qingfang: Peak Lord of the Qian Cao Peak. Specialized in medicine and healing.

Qi Qingqi: Peak Lord of the Xian Shu Peak. "The Fairy Peak," a woman's only peak that specilized in support, seduction, and art (guess on my part cause it was never really explained)

Shang Qinghua: author of the Proud Immortal Demon Way "Airplane Shooting Towards the Sky. Shares the name of the Peak Lord of the An Ding Peak. Specialized mostly in accounting and budgeting for the Sect. Low in cultivation. Using the author bro not the Original Shang Qinghua. He's also a hamster baby ovo

Wei Qingwei: Peak Lord of the Wan Jian Peak.  Specialized in creating spiritual swords. Hong Jing sword bearer that tested for possesstion and evil spirits.

***Huang Qingxin: Peak Lord of the Purity peak. Practice celibacy and only pure intent to cultivate. Produces the most calm and spiritually peaceful cultivators

***Ye Qingjiu: Peak Lord of the Zui Xian Peak, aka Drunken Immortal Peak specializes in alcohol production and drunk martial arts.

***Jun Qingsu: Peak Lord of the Ku Xing Peak. General Cultivation. Yellow, Clear Heart. Super strict

***Yu Qingxuan: Peak Lord of the Mo Shou Peak. Specializes in spiritual beast taming.

***Wu Qingtai: Peak Lord of Zui Xian. Specialized in stealth operations, working in the shadows, invisible to the world.

Lou Binghe: main character of Proud Immortal Demon's Way in the novel. Shen Quinqui's disciple that he neglected/abused and "damned to hell" that tortured and killed him for the injustices he suffered in the sect. Half Heavenly Demon. Using the original boi because he deserves love too!

Ning Yingying: Shen Qingqui's previous favored disciple. One of Lou Binghe's first wives.

Ming Fan: Shen Qingqui's first disciple and Lou Binghe's childhood bully. Honestly, he could have been better and I want him to be loved

Liu Mingyan: Liu Qingge's younger sister, Qi Qingqi's disciple, one of Lou Binghe's first wives. Hated Shen Qingqui for the "murder" of her brother.

Yang Yixuan: Liu Qingge's first handpicked disciple under Shen Yuan/Shen Qingqui's recommendation. He's a baby and deserves more spot light ovo

Gongyi Xiao: ex-head disciple to the Old Palace master. Great guy, deserved better so he will get better

Xiao Gongzhu: little palace mistress. Not sure if this is her real name but I need her as an antagonist lol

Lao Gongzhu: palace master of the Hua Hua sect. Creepy old man

Qiu Haitang: ex-fiance to Shen Qingqui. Hate her. But I need some antagonists. But like I changed my mind half way in between chapters, so I've made her baby

Qiu Jianluo: dirtbag but I need some antagonists

Mobei Jun: ice demon, Luo Binghe's second in command. Shang Qinghua's ideal man. He's cool

Zhuzhi Jun: BABY BOY BABY BOY. Luo Binghe's cousin. Snake boy. Elegant. Soft and sweet. Needs more love

Tianlang Jun: Luo Binghe's birth father. Silly man. Loves smut books and anything relating to the arts. Badass DILF.

Su Xiyan: Lou Binghe's birth mother. Sassy and independent. Could have been an OG if not for the palaxe master.

Sha Hualing: Demon Saintess. Honestly so much sexual tension with Liu Mingyan. One of Luo Binghe's first wives. I never really liked her tho ngl

I will probably do some self insert characters to help with the storyline ngl. *** indicate who is an insert (that I borrowed from the fanfiction that inspired this because I didn't want to find any other names and the novel never mentioned any of them ovo
