"Thank you for accompanying me today, _____," the blonde leader thanked you, while flashing you a sweet smile
You and Pure Vanilla were on an afternoon walk, through his garden of vanilla orchids and white lilies. This routine was mandatory for both you and him, as he can wind back and tell you on whatever happened today during his duties as the king of Vanilla Kingdom. You listened to intently, while also giving your experiences too.
"No need to thank me, honestly," you says, lightening the mood between you and him
Pure Vanilla chuckles a little. He then say, "But I want to. My days with you by my side is what I thanked for."
You suddenly stops on your track. He felt that you stopped, so he also stops, turning around to you. "_____? Is something bothering you?"
Thinking that it was no use to think about it, you shakes your head. You quickly catches up to him and takes his hand, "Nevermind about that."
The two of you then walks out from the garden, roaming through the long hallways of the Vanilla Castle, hand in hand. Ever since he declared of his love to you, your days had drastically changed, in a very good way that it's becoming like a fairytale-like dream. He was very loving, and always what prioritize you and the needs of his people before his own.
But, sometimes, you thought of this— Does you even deserved this love to him? Not just you who wanted to be in this position, there are so many people out there that wished to be on your position. Pure Vanilla equally loved you and his people, but you can't help yourself but to think about that.
Feeling that this silent is getting suffocating, so you initiates, "Say, how about we meet here tomorrow afternoon? I can invite you for a lunch together."
Reflectively, Pure Vanilla opens his eyes, hearing your initiation. "Sure, I don't mind. Shall we meet here tomorrow afternoon."
And then, he lightly pull your wrist causing your body to move closer to him. He leans down to give you a gentle kiss to your forehead. It's becoming a routine also, to give a "see you tomorrow" forehead kiss like this. It's always a sweet gesture, when you felt his soft lips touches your skin.
"Well then, see you tomorrow!" you quickly lets go of your hand, and sprints away from the Vanilla Castle gates
"_____, wait— Pure Vanilla calls, but you're already too far from his reach
The sky by the floating kingdom is colored beautifully deep orange. Pure Vanilla only sees you running away, smiling dearly. With a swish of his cream yellow-colored cape, he turns back to the castle entrance, now hoping for something really good to happen on your next encounter with him tomorrow.
As you rest yourself by leaning to the nearest wall, you take deep breaths to calm your heart. There's so much to think lately, as you thought. But, if he knew about your sudden change of behavior due to your own thoughts, he would grew sad and become persuasive to solve whatever that troubles you. But, you thanked him for that such thing.
Speaking of Pure Vanilla, you suddenly remembers something. He once said to you, about how he would love everything about you, no matter what happened. It's also a few months after you start your relationship with him, but he speaked that oath like he was proposing you. Your heart calmed down, and you proceed to walk back towards your house. If there's days ahead of you can meet him and enjoy this love both of you shared, that would be alright for you.
Because, he is the only first love that you had.
"Well, do you like having lunch here?" you asked him, when the two of you finishes the food that was served
"Thank you for inviting me here, _____. It's been a while since I last had my lunches by the people's market," Pure Vanilla thanked you, as the two of you spend today with exploring the kingdom
Well, he had a commotion not far from the spot the two of you. He is a King that is loved by his people, so this scenery is common to you and him.
"So, what do you want to do after this?" he asked you again, fetching his flower staff and wizard hat, standing up to wear them
You also stands up and helps him on fixing his appearances. You lightly giggle when you tilt the wizard hat slightly, so that it would fit on his head.
"I wished we had a time alone, though. Away from the people's eyes..." you wished, lowering down your voice
"That is fine, _____. Hold onto me," he answers, as he takes your palm and he turns around, proceeding to run
You were startled on his sudden move, but quickly you obliged to his movements, which is running away from the crowds. From the market, the two of you runs through the small alleyways, with the bicolor-eyed king leads the way. This moment leads you to think rather than a sovereign who found this kingdom and leads the ancient heroes, he looked like he was just a normal individual who mastered each turn of the kingdom and its city.
After a few minutes, the two of you manages to escape the crowd, pulling out from the alleyways both of you ran through. Pure Vanilla and you laughs very crisply, really enjoying the escape together.
"I didn't know that you're good at this!" you exclaims
"Do I need to tell you that I was actually very rebellious during my schooling days?" he suggests, with a somewhat playful tone
You learnt something new about him, once more. Speaking of which, he had taken you into a viewing deck, where the both of you can see the world below the kingdom, lush green combined with Raisin Cliffs' dark brown almost black color. It's always providing a breathtaking view, so this spot is quite popular to the people.
"This isn't pretty much a secret place for our encounter, but that would do for now," he says to you, the gentle smile on his face never receeds
You took his vacant hand and intertwine it with yours, appreciating his attempt. "Thank you, I really enjoyed it."
Both of you are well-aware that moments like this are very fleeting, so it's best to spent it while you're can. The wind breeze is so calming, as the two of you continues to take in the view at the deck, while sitting on an available bench.
"I'm really happy today. And all of those days before. I wish we could be like this for many days ahead..." you wished, looking down to the hand that is lovingly intertwined onto yours
Then, Pure Vanilla gently pulls your hand to him, giving a chaste kiss as a reassure. He then say, "I am very aware also. But, what we can do is to enjoy what today had for us."
Your heart skipped a beat. No wonder why he's widely loved by his people, his wise words and personality becomes his own weapon to create the world that he wanted, a very loving and peaceful one. you nudges him playfully, as a respons of his ever-so sweet words, much like the taste of him.
Thinking that it's not the right time for your uncertainty to show up, you decides to say, "Pure Vanilla, no wonder why I loved you so much, your words always gets me!"
The bicolor-eyed healer chuckles lightly. "Thank you for your appreciation, _____. And I l love you also."
Ah, this strange feeling. It has that same heart skip, the feeling of that fateful day where you fell in love for the first time in your life, to none other than Pure Vanilla. Maybe, if tomorrow is still the same yet so different as today, you start to look forward. Maybe there would be something new happen tomorrow...
But, for now, you had wished that this feeling stays in your heart, forever unchanged—and also for this happiness to last longer. As long as Pure Vanilla was by your side, you can rest assured. . .
