Chapter Text
Not long before his 18th birthday, Diluc noticed Kaeya had been acting rather strange. He was getting into trouble more than usual and often wore a sour expression he’d never seen before. When he asked him for a spar, he said no. If he requested a duet, he said no. Time and time again, that petulant attitude would come out and Diluc was left wondering why. That vindictive part of him seeked out his answer. There in his father’s study, he caught Kaeya with an odd book in his hands. He snatched it from him and scolded him for breaking into his father’s room. Rather than getting annoyed, Kaeya merely smirked and got up to leave.
Curious, Diluc looked at the page Kaeya had turned to.
“What does this mean? Kneel."
Behind him he heard a crash. When he swerved around, he saw the shelves of his father’s wine cabinet rattling. A glass had knocked over and broke into shards across the wooden floor. There stood Kaeya, hunched over and gripping onto that cabinet like it was the only thing keeping him upright.
When Diluc went over to help him, he spotted the way his cheeks flushed, the perspiration appearing at his neck, the look in his half-lidded eye as he stared back at him with bated breath. Something awakened in Kaeya that completely changed their relationship from then on.
This was until Diluc’s 18th birthday came around, and his father was no more, and the only one left standing was his traitorous friend.
Diluc never considered leaving the city of Mondstadt in the hands of the incompetent knights forever. After he returned from his three year journey, it took a bit of adjusting, but he was able to settle back into a routine with few setbacks. He continued to gather information about his targets in the dark, working for the city without allying himself with those he truly detested.
Among them, he found out that his old childhood friend still remained. Became the Cavalry Captain no less, filling in his shoes after tearing away at the final seam to Diluc's naive reality. The person whose thoughts he could once read was no longer the same partner he used to confide in, who he used as his sounding board for every big decision.
He could hardly recognize him anymore in that ridiculous fashion—seriously, just where did he learn to dress like that? He grew irritable listening to him speak only through lies and decided to close up early.
Diluc told himself he was being unreasonable by letting his emotions blind his rationality like this. He also knew it was pointless to hold these thoughts against him for so long, but it had already been months since his return and Kaeya never once left his mind. The Cryo Vision gleamed in mockery upon his hip, a constant reminder of the painful memory both silently agreed never to bring up.
Diluc let a sigh pass his lips as he turned the signboard from "Open" to "Closed." He offered Charles a generous sum of money to make up for the hour lost after deciding to take the rest of the evening off. He could use some air. Or maybe a bit of Hilichurl slaughtering.
Anything to distract himself from that person infiltrating his mind like a parasite.
The affable Kaeya was well-respected by everyone in Mondstadt. He was a part of the knights—the Cavalry Captain no less—and posed as a Dom in the eyes of the public. Nobody questioned his capabilities. He was smart, amicable, and charmed the townsfolk with his sweet, honeyed words. It was a commonly known but infrequently discussed understanding that Diluc and Kaeya had a falling out of sorts. Most people assumed it was because as they grew older, the two Doms became incompatible with one another. The truth about what happened was shared only between the two of them.
In this kind of world, there were dominants and submissives, or Doms and Subs for short. One had the authority and power to do whatever they wanted, to lead a promising future with the freedom they were blessed with, while the other had to obey the commands passed down to them without so much as a single show of refusal. There was also a third, the kind that fell into neither category and was spared of the harsh inequality brought forth by this hierarchy.
It was dangerous to be a Sub. Even with a Vision to defend oneself, it would prove useless with a single, piercing demand from a Dom. In cases like these, it was wise to either hide one’s true identity or to run away to someplace safe like Liyue, a land where stricter rules were established.
Here in the city of Mondstadt, freedom was both a blessing and a curse.
Some rules were universal but not always were they enforced. Before a Dom should give their Sub any type of command, a safeword had to be established. All engagements were to be consensual, needs clearly communicated and agreed upon, and a Dom was to provide for their Sub afterward. Subs who had a partner were off limits.
This much was common knowledge and courtesy by everyone who was born into the role. However, there were outliers that flew under the radar.
Kaeya had chosen to hide. Just like how he hid the identity of his past, he shrouded his current predicament through a perfectly twisted web of lies. Only Diluc had seen past his remarkably impressive facade as a Dom to know he wasn't what he said he was.
One day, that lie will unravel itself.
As Diluc shrugged his coat over his shoulders and stepped aside, he heard strange sounds coming from the back. If he turned the corner, he'd find himself between that small alleyway that led to the backside of Angel's Share where they lugged in barrels of wine. No one should be there at this hour, Diluc thought. He held back his apparent disgust as he approached the source of whispered exchanges and muffled voices. As he suspected, it was the sound of two people entangled in a lascivious affair.
It wouldn't be the first time Diluc had been unfortunate enough to find two strangers having sex behind his tavern. It was like they couldn't be bothered to move a couple blocks down. It irked him, but he knew all it would take was one show of his appearance to scare them off.
Holding in his breath, he prepared to scold the two shadows hunched over one another with no display of shame propped up against the cart of wine barrels that shook with each erratic movement. But when he saw who it was, his body froze. The words chilled across his lips.
Diluc wondered how Kaeya managed to fool an entire country when he spent his days like this.
Pressed down across the rough wood of the cart, with legs precariously dangling off the edge, his arms strapped across another man's bare back as he moaned in ecstasy.
Between sweet gasps and moans Diluc wouldn't ever have wished to hear, Kaeya mouthed, "I'm close," in a whisper loud enough to reach Diluc's ears.
A gruff voice murmured the words, "Good boy," in a way that made Diluc's skin crawl. He watched Kaeya's expression like a hawk, noticing the way he lit up at the praise, a soft blush working across his cheeks as he cast a hazy eye in Diluc's direction.
One second, two seconds, three, four, five...Not once did he break eye contact. That icy gaze encased in a sly smirk widened as his body shuddered in unison with the man plowing him against the cart.
It was after the stranger—one Diluc recognized as a regular from his bar now that he bothered to pull up his pants and toss his shirt back on—fell down his high that he seemed cognizant of the third person dragged into their little affair. His dull eyes widened. Incoherent sounds eventually formed into actual sentences, all pathetic apologies as he backed away, suddenly understanding the kind of predicament he was in by provoking the wealthiest man in Mondstadt.
The air between them was tense. But Kaeya didn't seem to mind at all. Rather, he leaned back against the cart, his pants still missing with bare legs crossed over one another. A string of clear white stuck between his thighs that Diluc opted to ignore. He dismissed the smug grin just as easily, knowing that once he was dragged in, that little devil will make it his game to probe at him.
A Sub shouldn't have this much power, but Kaeya was a bit different. He knew how to play his cards right.
By revealing his spot to Diluc so easily, it was clearly a part of his manipulation. That much would have been easy to decipher were it not for the streak of red flashing through Diluc's head.
"Leave. Now." With arms crossed, the glare that reached the stranger's vision would have sent anyone away with a tail between their legs. But this one was stubborn. Even while muttering excuses like a coward, he still shot a wry smile at Kaeya. Looked to the person who he thought to be his savior in this scenario. The one who could assuage the winery owner's rage so he could slip by in one piece. But the only response he received was a cold smile.
"Well, you heard him," Kaeya said with an indifferent shrug of his shoulders. "Wouldn't do the city any good to have such a sorry sight running around with half his body burned off by a claymore, now, would it?"
The man's face paled. Kaeya kicked one leg over the other, an uncomfortable shift from feeling the stranger's seed leaking out from his ass. Even though he'd told him to come outside, of course he hadn't listened. A Dom would never listen to a Sub.
Not unless there was another way to convince them. A method much scarier than a simple command. One that could promise death if someone did so much as let the wrong words slip out in his vicinity. Kaeya was not a kind man. But only he and Diluc knew that.
"Or," he spoke again, getting off his perch to circle around him and block off his only remaining escape route. "I could cut you down with my sword and make it swift. Much cleaner than what Master Diluc will surely plan to do, and a lot nicer than what you did to me."
Stuck in this alley, on one side stood the cunning, formidable Cavalry Captain of the Knights, and on the other, an undercover antihero of sorts with a fiery claymore and an equally fiery temper. Realizing a little late that he was stuck in between a rock and a hard place, the unsuspecting customer dropped to his knees. It was during his fall that Diluc noticed the little emblem strapped to his side. A treasure hoarder's insignia.
Kaeya's gaze flickered over to Diluc's briefly to scan his features for any sign of takeoff. If he decided to turn tail now, that would put his plan at risk. But he hadn't budged at all, arms still crossed with that dark overcast that promised a dangerous night for both of them if he didn't hurry.
Always so impatient, Kaeya thought with a slight tug to his lips. He supposed it wouldn't hurt to cut to the chase. He pulled the treasure hoarder up by the hair, giving it an extra tug for good measure. The splinters lodged into his side after being fucked up against those barrels was starting to get on his nerves.
"Well? Take your pick. Did you think I would let you go now that you know my secret? How naive."
The body on the ground squirmed helplessly, once flimsy whimpers now turning into irritable barking.
"I–I said I won't tell! I promised! Let me go, you whore!"
Another tug to his hair. Some of it came out in his grip. Clumps of black hair fell to the ground. The veins pulsed through his forehead, reacting in a desperate fury that almost made Kaeya laugh. This was the same man who had been so insistent on bending him over, so easily persuaded by his honeyed lies. Of course he wasn't going to let him go.
Not after he gave away the details of his schemes. And especially not after Kaeya revealed himself to be a Sub. As if predicting the words to come from his mouth, Kaeya pressed his gloved palm against his mouth and raised a finger to his lips at the very start of a command.
"I'm afraid not. This is the point where you admit you have no power over me, no power over those families you endangered, and that you don't hold a threat against anyone here in Mondstadt as long as I'm around," Kaeya said in a disarming voice that would have come off as enchanting had his words not been laced with malice. Feeling confident and perhaps a little more reckless than he'd normally let on, he let the stranger sing his grievances one last time.
Out of gritted teeth, a single command, "Kneel."
And Kaeya was on his knees, helpless, the searing shock rippling through his nerves sending him into a state unable to fight back. Like the rug had been pulled from under him. A puppet, a marionette, whose limbs were under the control of those born as Doms. This was the curse of being a Sub. Forever to obey, never to rebel against his natural instincts that worked like a current through him, making the temperature rise in his body. He reached for the Vision by his side, fighting the sudden aphrodisiac-like spell that reduced his mind to primal need, but it turned out to be merely precaution.
The Dom issuing the command, once smug and hovering over him with a look akin to victory, quickly fell dead to the side with one ear-splitting crack across the skull. A large weapon with the remains of embers cut through him in one direct motion. As Kaeya watched the head roll off to the side and the small flames that caught onto the nearby barrels, he let out a scoff.
"See, I warned him that it would get messy. They never listen." Shaking, he rose to his feet while fighting the arousal now coursing through him. Perhaps it was for the best that he'd had that tryst earlier, otherwise it would have been a lot harder to shrug off. He threw a grin at Diluc, who looked irritated to be cleaning up his mess.
"Say something?" It was pitiful how it came out sounding like a plea, but in the state that he was in, it was inevitable. Subs like him were the most vulnerable after a command. Gritting his teeth, Kaeya prepared something a little more bold, but Diluc spoke up before he had to.
"I'm not interested in hearing you talk."
Well, isn't that real charming? Kaeya thought while suppressing a chuckle. After about a minute, the uncomfortable tugging at his gut would go away, and he could stand up straight without a worry for how some random passerby might be next to take a try at his ass.
He watched as Diluc loaded the body into the cart, disembodied head and all, and relocated the barrels by lifting them up by the metal hoops and placing them onto the ground. The wheels started to creak, but he held his foot to it so the wagon wouldn't start rolling off into the middle of the plaza with a dead body in tow. Classy.
"Need a hand?" Kaeya piped up, despite Diluc's earlier insistence to get him to stop talking. He leaned against the back of the cart for extra emphasis. He had intended to keep it from rolling, but the action only made Diluc more irritable.
"No. You've caused enough trouble, just leave. Didn't you hear me earlier?"
"Oh? I thought that had been directed at the treasure hoarder. Thanks for lending a hand, by the way. He was quite a nuisance. Caused a lot of fuss at the tavern, too, despite being a regular."
Diluc grit his teeth and fought the urge to say something impudent. He avoided looking in Kaeya's direction. Casting his eyes down at the carnage, his face scrunched up in a grimace. It was nothing he hadn't seen before. He was the one who caused this, but seeing a dead person this close was still somewhat unsettling. At least that human part of him remained intact, even if barely.
This person had been a regular at his tavern. He could have mistaken him for a respectable citizen of Mondstadt, but the fact that he turned out to be a treasure hoarder showed how even scum like this could get past his surveillance. If Kaeya singled him out specifically to hunt down, he most likely had a good reason for it. He wouldn't risk severing his ties with them otherwise. Not to mention...
"It's none of my business," Diluc started, not quite sure where he was going with this, "But you shouldn't be revealing what you are to everyone you decide to have a one-off with."
He regretted looking up to see that sly smile.
"It won't matter if those people end up carrying that secret to the grave, now would it?"
"So you kill every person who finds out you're a Sub?"
Kaeya laughed. He leaned away so Diluc could roll the cart to a more discreet place to unceremoniously dump the body and then burn the evidence, as he did.
"Not everyone. But, it's a rather convenient method for disposal, don't you agree?" He caught the flames that lit up into the night sky, the black smoke that disappeared into the air. A sight of a burning corpse. "Mr. Darknight Hero."
Diluc stopped in his tracks. He wore the same steely expression, but there was a twitch of another emotion attempting to worm its way through. Surprise? Contempt?
"Who knows?" he demanded, facing Kaeya fully now. A small grimace tugged further at his frown when he glanced down to find Kaeya still without pants.
"Only me. Don't worry, I haven't told the other knights. I don't plan to, either. It's far more entertaining like this," Kaeya said as he caught that wandering gaze. His eye crinkled into a suggestive smirk. Before Diluc could make any inferences, the knight made himself clear by spreading his legs apart slowly, relaxing in a lazy way where Diluc could see the strands of cum still attached to the inside of his thighs dripping down onto the dirty floor.
Hiding his true intentions with a playful voice, he said, "Something catch your eye, Master Diluc?"
The glower directed at him made a tingly shiver run straight down his spine like a cold chill he should have been immune to. But because it was Diluc, every slight glare of his caught the breath in his throat. He had to hide the obvious way his stares affected him by pacing around him instead, making it an effort to create a show out of the way he circled him and bent down to look at the ashes strewn across the grass.
"Though I suppose a respectful Dom like yourself wouldn't be interested. I never understood why you bottled up your instincts so much. It wasn't a secret to me that you'd retreat to your room every time I showed you a bit of skin. It wasn't a mystery to me what you were doing in there, either."
The heat rushed to Diluc's face. He remembered the embarrassment from when he and Kaeya lived together and the other would brush up against him, whether on accident or on purpose, he couldn't tell with him back then. Like a sort of forbidden fruit he could feel but not take for himself. He knew he only felt these instincts because they were the opposite of each other, because they were born with differences that could only be fulfilled by the other, but he refused to see Kaeya that way. The Kaeya who would make mistakes on purpose, despite being good at everything he did, such as messing up during their private music lessons or making the wrong move during chess. It was like he was reaching for some sort of punishment. His desire to be reprimanded. He knew Diluc had it in him to punish him in a way that could turn the indescribable pain he felt into a blissful pleasure.
But Diluc could never do that for Kaeya. He was a Dom, but that didn't mean that Kaeya was his to take by force. Ever since the day he found out about Kaeya's predicament, he had to hide himself away in his room before he'd do anything reckless. Seeing him like this again, he wanted to kick that side of him that burned with the insatiable eagerness to tear him to shreds.
There was no sensible reason for it. That was simply how this magnetic pull between Doms and Subs worked.
He wanted to ruin him. For tempting him, for lying to him, for turning his back on him when he knew it would hurt the most. He didn't hate Kaeya, but seeing the man in front of him, so familiar yet so divergent from the person he once knew, roused mixed feelings in him.
"You brought me here on purpose," Diluc stated flatly. He felt Kaeya's ass brush up against his leg as he slowly stood back up. That was no accident, and now Kaeya could affirm for himself how much he burned at the sight of his bare skin sullied by another man.
"It's not like you to make baseless accusations," Kaeya said, feigning innocence.
"Don't play smart with me, Kaeya. You knew I closed up early today and would take a while to get everything cleaned up. Did you think I wouldn't notice the very loud moans coming from the back?"
"Closing up so early is unlike you. Was there something to distract you?"
A low hanging shirt took his attention away as Kaeya's hand adjusted the collar around his uniform. Diluc's eyes flickered elsewhere.
"Don't change the subject."
"Is there something you're trying to pry from me out of this conversation, Master Diluc?"
"You used me," Diluc spat out, the ire settling on his tongue. "Just as you're trying to do now. Just like you did back then. Aside from your...unseemly appearance, you haven't changed a bit. Only now you're a whore selling yourself out on the streets."
He pressed his luck further and lightly pushed Kaeya out of the way to march back down to the winery. That impulsivity he tried to dismiss came back to bite him. He didn't know what it was. Something in him welled up like an ugly beast, those fantasies he'd kept buried deep within his mind bubbling to the surface. The image of hurling Kaeya against the ground, his limbs tied behind his back, feeling his squirms underneath his body, became painfully clear in his head.
No , he told himself. He was a gentleman. He won't succumb to this. Not like the way he was talking was any indication of it.
"A little pent up, are we?" Kaeya teased, still not letting it go. Diluc made the mistake of looking back to see that icy stare directed at him, closer than he'd care for him to be. He could feel the drop of temperature in the air. "When was the last time you had a little fun? I find it hard to believe that Mondstadt's most eligible bachelor hasn't found a Sub for himself."
Diluc gnashed his teeth together to form his lips into a line. That person was supposed to be you, he found himself regretfully thinking before discarding that thought immediately. There was no point in running back to the past. Reluctant to continue this conversation, he replied in late,
"I haven't. There are more important things on my mind."
"Like Fatui hunting? I heard they're in season," Kaeya joked. His pupil flickered from Diluc's face to his pants. "More importantly...Well, how do I put this? I don't mean to ruin the mood, but you've been hard for the past two minutes that we've been having this conversation."
To this, Diluc stayed quiet. His body stiffened like a statue frozen in time. Was it better not to acknowledge it? It was surely a coincidence. Okay, maybe yes, he was a little pent up. But he was definitely, by all means, not going to be having, doing—
He wasn't having sex with Kaeya. The sly devil looked at him as if reading his thoughts. Close enough to share air, Kaeya slid his palm over the front of Diluc's pants. They both heard the subtle hitch of breath that got caught in Diluc's throat.
"Now, I hope it wasn't the murdering that turned you on, because I can't provide that for you right now. But my offer to...have a little spar let's put it, is open."
Diluc had to bite back a growl when those gloved fingers rubbed slowly along his clothed length.
"I'm not doing that with you," he bitterly remarked, caustic in his disgust.
"Because of our history? You can blindfold and tie me to the table if you like. You won't even know it's me. Sex doesn't have to mean anything. It's better than having an irritable Dom around who is too much of a prude to even give a single command-"
"Kneel."
Diluc swore to himself never to say a command again around Kaeya. Yet here he was, indulging in the sudden spike of pleasure he derived from witnessing Kaeya's irritatingly smug expression momentarily break as he fell to the ground, his body quivering like he had a fever. Even though he caught himself right before he could collapse fully onto his bent knees, he had trouble trying to prop himself up. Diluc crossed his arms before him. A rare kind of smirk lay strewn across his face.
"Having some trouble, Sir Kaeya? I said," Diluc gripped his chin and tilted it up to him, "Kneel."
Kaeya bit back an apparent groan that still made a muffled sound escape between his teeth. His legs were shaking as they finally gave out beneath him. Rapid puffs of breath formed clouds in the cold air. There was a faint blush extending to his ears. Wasting no time, Diluc pulled him up by the arm and dragged the pliant body over to the nearby table.
This was wrong. That thought barged into his mind time and time again, as Diluc stripped Kaeya bare, as he ran his greedy hands along his back, along that soft skin he desired to defile for so, so many years. This was wrong, oh it was truly the most despicable, but he couldn't resist it. No, Kaeya wanted this. Because they were a Dom and a Sub, they needed this.
It was a transaction. He would treat it as such.
With Kaeya's body flung against the table, open and vulnerable just for him, he decided that after tying together his arms with his belt, it was his turn to strip. He let his pants hang loosely on his hips as he took his throbbing dick out from its cover. Kaeya's breathing became raspy. He knew what was coming.
"Hey, hold on," Kaeya started, a bit of panic rising in his voice but masking it with a joke, "You're not putting it in right away, are you? Don't tell me you don't know how sex works."
Diluc scoffed, irritated that he would suggest that. Just for extra measure and a little punishment, he drew back his hand and struck his palm across his ass. Kaeya let out a gasp that sounded more turned on than pained.
"Who are you to talk back?" He only intended to brush his dick up against Kaeya's wet hole, rubbing against those plush cheeks. They were exactly as he'd always imagined. He felt a shiver course through him. Seeing the way Kaeya shuddered in unison, the way his body curved perfectly against his body, all made him crave more. He spotted a clear fluid leak out. An irrational sort of possessiveness took over with the reminder that Kaeya had let a stranger come inside him earlier.
"Whore," he growled into the nape of his neck. He leaned down to rest the tip of his teeth against the skin before gently biting down and leaving welts of his own.
"Mm–! Ah–haha, I always knew you'd be the ruthless type. Who knew that such a gentleman could be so rough in bed?"
He bit down harder, earning another groan. Soon, his entire neck down to his shoulder blade would be covered in purple and blue bruises left by the man taking him. They were in a spot that would conveniently be covered by his clothes, but any further up, and it'd be dangerous territory.
"Do you ever stop talking?" Diluc snapped as he ran his hand around Kaeya's throat. The pulsating of his heart and every swallow he took was felt through his fingertips. He couldn't tell if he was nervous or enjoying it. He was never sure with him.
"I could take you right now," he threatened, pressing his index finger to his larynx while brushing up against his ass from behind. "And you won't be able to resist."
"You could," Kaeya admitted, providing no further confirmation than that. It was all talk for now, but what if he was serious? Perhaps it was best to remain on the quieter side to keep from provoking Diluc into piledriving him through the table.
Fighting his urges, Diluc slid his hands back down Kaeya's sides. Forming a whisper, he let his words spell out, "I won't."
He won't. Kaeya might have felt a bit of disappointment when it was only fingers that entered him. Still, the way his digits sunk into his already soft insides to stretch him apart made him want more, and archons knew it'd have to be more with what Diluc was packing. Even if he hadn't taken a glance at how much it had grown since they lived together, just seeing that outline around his pants made an ecstatic sort of fear rush through him.
"A–Ah...!" No longer so full of mirth, Kaeya moaned as a third finger was added. It pushed up against his taut skin, the warmth radiating off his fingertips making him heat up like a furnace. If Diluc happened to sear him by accident, he'd be okay with that, Kaeya found himself thinking.
Just this gentle prodding was enough to make him squirm impatiently for more. Whining like a brat that he was. If it was a plan to egg Diluc on, it worked. The cock that had been pressing into him earlier replaced the hand at his entrance. As Diluc stretched open the rim with his thumbs, he pushed the head of his dick in.
No matter if Kaeya had already been fucked once tonight, the fit was still tight. The air hissed through Diluc's teeth while Kaeya held back another cry. A little more, and his shaft was fully engulfed by the warm insides of Kaeya's hole. Like the perfect cocksleeve, he held tight to him without letting go. Worked him up to the base, taking him in fully without a single complaint about its size. Only when Kaeya went completely silent while quivering under him did Diluc understand why.
Diluc ran his hand alongside Kaeya's stomach. There, he found his leaking dick, dripping precum at the tip. He had only just pushed inside, and Kaeya already came once.
"You're..." Kaeya started, attempting to regain the composure in his tone but failing in the aftermath of his climax, "A lot bigger than I remember."
"Than you remember? You've been eyeing me?" Diluc pulled away slightly only to push back in with enough grit to send the overstimulated Cavalry Captain into a whining fit. "Disgusting."
Ignoring Kaeya's squirms, he plunged back in again and again. Using the squeezing around his cock for extra friction to feel more of him, to explore further into his depths as he easily brushed up against Kaeya's prostate. Kaeya's strained cries turned into mewling. He took in a raspy inhale each time Diluc heedlessly hammered into that bundle of nerves. His vision flashed white but he lost track of anything outside of the numbness spreading through his body. No longer could he make out the abrupt noises of Diluc's thighs hitting the table to collide with his ass, the wet slide growing louder by the minute. It was hot, so hot. Pain and pleasure melded into one. It was everything a Sub could wish for.
Right now, he thought this could be counted as some form of bliss, as Diluc drew another orgasm from him without the time to recover from the last. As Diluc lifted his hips higher with a grip of steel to keep him in place while plunging into him at a deeper angle. They could fall and hit the ground and Kaeya wouldn't even notice. He didn't need Diluc to be good to get himself off, but damn, he just had to be good. If he wasn't careful, this could turn into a habit.
Diluc's groan told him he was close. Sweat and cum drew an intense smell with each intake of breath. His limp body folded in response to the rapid, uncontrolled thrusts made in Diluc's feverish state. Loud grunts and moans spilled from both of them. Melting in the ecstasy shared by two sinners.
It was so, so wrong. But felt so irrevocably divine that it couldn't be turned down. Their reconciliation could not be any more reckless. Sex this passionate could almost be mistaken for love.
Kaeya drew in a stuttered breath and held it there as Diluc came inside with a final thrust, his cum taking over the previous man's, declaring himself as the only Dom capable of claiming Kaeya like he owned him. Not that Kaeya could argue with that.
Diluc's heated sighs fell against his shoulder as he lowered himself down, his hands propping himself up on the table. His body fell limp on Kaeya’s. The sound of his breathing echoed in the Sub’s ears. The lack of oxygen made Kaeya's head spin, but he didn't dare move. He was still seeing stars.
"That," Diluc said through raspy words, "Felt good."
Kaeya let out a breathless laugh into the wood of the table. Now that they were cooling off, he could make out the very prominent and slightly uncomfortable way his own drool clung to him and the sweat sticking to his back. He'd push Diluc aside if he had the energy, but that didn't matter at the moment.
"You sure went to town on my offer, Master Diluc," Kaeya spoke through what little air was left in his lungs. "Thanks to you, I don't think I'll have the strength in me to walk home."
He felt a rumble against his shoulder that sounded faintly like a scoff, but he couldn't be too sure. If Diluc were a cat, he'd mistake it for a purr. After what seemed like forever, the sack of heat planted atop his back finally moved to give him more space. Kaeya attempted to move his muscles but was met with great resistance. His limbs left like jelly. Perhaps laying sprawled out on one of Angel Share's outdoor dining tables was the only option after all. Reluctantly, he at least turned over onto his back. He'd yet to come down from his euphoria up in the clouds and could barely make out Diluc's words to him.
"Do you require an escort?" Diluc asked, half in joke, half an actual suggestion seeing his blissed-out state. His belt made the distinctive clack after he slid his pants back on. He wrinkled his nose seeing his coat tossed onto the ground; he didn't remember when he took it off, only the feeling of overwhelming heat consuming him. He decided it was better to sling it over his arm for now.
Still, Kaeya didn't respond. A rush of worry overcame Diluc. It was very much possible he went too far. If that were true, wouldn't Kaeya tell him? It felt like they were forgetting something important, but the reason as for what was evading his mind. He instead observed the mess they created to determine how much of this he was going to have to burn. All of it, he decided. Much to his chagrin, the place reeked of cum. He couldn't show a single piece of evidence that this took place to his customers.
"Kaeya," he called again, wondering if he'll respond this time. Only an incoherent jumble of sounds came from him as he continued to stare hazily into the sky.
Well, he couldn't just wait around forever. He had to clean this up before the night was over or in case someone walked past. Letting out a quiet sigh, Diluc acquiesced and settled with Plan B: carrying Kaeya back inside Angel's Share to their third floor, where they held an inn generally reserved for ambassadors and special guests. Making sure not to disturb him, he slowly lifted him up in his arms. He grimaced when he noticed cum leak out from his ass and onto the table. Trying very hard not to sternly stare down his beautifully shaped thighs or the perked nipples standing up from the cold, Diluc opted to gaze at the floor instead while he walked. It required him to bite the inside of his lips to keep from getting hard again, but it worked out in the end as he fumbled his way back into the tavern. Obtaining the keys from his pocket was difficult but not impossible while carrying the one seemingly passed out in his arms.
With a creak, the door swung open. The tavern was dimly lit by the moon alone. He paid close attention as he walked up the stairs. The walkway was narrow, so he had to tilt Kaeya's head closer to him before he hit it against the railing. He pushed aside the sign that was there to block customers from entering. Another set of spiraling stairs later, he found the hallway that led to the small but comfortable guest rooms. He barged into the closest one and tossed Kaeya onto the bed. He made a small groan as his back hit the mattress but made no other sound aside from that.
"I'll bring back a towel," Diluc said aloud. Even though he knew Kaeya probably couldn't hear him, he decided best to say it anyway. He disappeared back the way he came, leaving the one drifting between consciousness alone in the room.
Kaeya blinked through bleary vision. It was dark; where was he? He glanced around with the minimal effort of tilting his head. A room of some kind. He wasn't familiar with it. Only that it was strangely cold, the warmth from earlier missing now with the Pyro user's absence. The high from earlier had collapsed onto him like a strong weight in the form of gripping loneliness. It was a feeling he was quite accustomed to. The stronger the attraction, the worse it got. In his mind, he knew it had been a terrible idea to sleep with Diluc, but the moment he gave that command there was nothing that could sway him from the temptation.
He knew Diluc would ruin him. He could ask for nothing more. He was deserving of nothing more. It was fitting that Diluc would toss him away just as he did back then–
The door slammed open. The sudden noise made him startle. He heard a polite apology in a low voice as a figure approached him with what looked to be a towel in hand. Long, messy red hair ran down his shoulders from a ponytail undone.
"Diluc," Kaeya said, as if surprised to see him there. The other man draped a wet towel over him, which instinctively made him jump and mumble, "Cold."
"Aren't you a Cryo user?" Diluc teased, being gentle with how he scrubbed the towel against his skin. He helped prop Kaeya up into a sitting position by the side of the bed as he washed him down.
"Not necessary," Kaeya managed, the fleeting instinct to run from the sudden kindness rising to his throat. Diluc merely huffed.
"I don't want you to give my tavern a bad name. Let me clean you."
Ah, so he's doing it to keep up his own appearance , Kaeya thought to himself, too distracted by the sudden numbness to be rational. He considered himself fortunate to be taken care of by Diluc Ragnvindr, the very one who railed him senseless like a rabid beast only minutes prior. He found it amusing that those caring traits still remained with him since childhood even as the sadistic side of him made itself clear.
He wondered what he would be like if he let go of his control completely. What would Diluc become if he were reduced to relying only on the worst of his instincts? Propelled by the desire to punish him for all his lies? The tug of a smirk raised his lips ever so slightly.
"What's so funny?" Diluc asked, frowning. He had a bucket beside him where he discarded the dirty towel and pulled out a clean one to dry him off with.
"Nothing. Your...duality, I suppose I'll call it, is rather amusing." When Diluc gave him a raised eyebrow in response, Kaeya continued with, "I wouldn't imagine that the person treating me so gently now is the same as the one who fucked me hard enough to make my ass ache for the next few days."
Diluc's cheeks tinted pink. He tossed the towel away and stepped back to put space between them.
Diluc’s touch against his skin, so hot and prominent across every inch of his body only minutes prior, felt like a searing torch. Now there was nothing but the cold silence between them. Something unwritten in the air that neither dared to speak of.
A strange new arrangement had taken place. Kaeya wouldn’t admit it aloud, but he wanted more of it. He needed his scathing touch more than oxygen. If his lungs were to be filled with the smoke from his smouldering embers, he hoped it would suffocate him. He had dragged him into this, after all.
Even with the minimal aftercare Diluc provided for him and this nice lodging prepared with all the essentials, going above and beyond as Diluc always did, Kaeya felt nothing. He didn’t want Diluc near him but couldn’t bear the thought of him leaving. Absent-mindedly, his hand twitched towards the figure heading out the door.
Kaeya wanted more. A sinner like him wasn’t deserving of anything more. But he craved it, he craved to instill those same temptations into Diluc, to keep up this destructive act until they no longer had to worry about the problems between them because the line between what was right and wrong was completely overwritten.
"...You should leave later," Diluc spoke with his hand on the door as Kaeya’s gaze followed him intently. He didn’t say when. The implication carried through those few words meant that Kaeya could stay the night. Anything about the stance of their relationship was left ambiguous at the clack of the door shutting behind him.
Neither of them knew what to think, much less how to feel. Kaeya passed out soon after, while Diluc spent the rest of the night brooding on his trip back home.
They had sex. It had been their first time. But it didn’t feel like it. No, it was wrong. Something about it. Everything about it. There was a certain corruption planting its roots, tugging at the fragile strings holding together whatever was left between them.
It was only once Diluc had slumped down on the couch in his manor, too tired to move elsewhere, and stared at the chandelure hanging above the ceiling did it click with him. Kaeya had never once mentioned a safeword.
