Chapter Text
You knew who the Golden Guard is, but you didn't really know KNOW him. He was out of your league when it came to status. You didn't know that meeting him would be the worst mistake of your life.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
You had been walking the halls, minding your own business when you saw the Golden Guard leaving a room, almost suspiciously. You decided this was the perfect opportunity for you to get some pointer from someone who was close to Belos. You hurried up to run towards him, since he was alone and you never knew you'd get this opportunity again.
"Hey! Wait up!"
He stopped and looked behind him, as you caught up with him. He allowed you to walk with him as you continued to talk to him.
"My name is Y/n L/n. I've actually been wanting to talk to you for a while." He didn't say anything, which made you feel it was a good sign, so you continued. "I never really thought I'd get the chance to talk to you. It really is a pleasure to be speaking to you. Everyone talks so highly of, well most of them. Are you really related to Belos? Why do you go by Golden Guard? Do you have a real name? I-"
He finally stopped, which made you stop, as he opened a door. He grabbed your hand and dragged you in. He locked the door and took off his mask. You tried not to look at him feeling a little embarrassed, since you'd never seen him without his mask.
"No more questions?" he teased. You avoided looking at his face and looked around the room, spotting some familiar wild magic books.
"I didn't know were into wild magic."
He looked at the book shelf, not making any comment. He didn't know this girl enough to tell her about his interest, in fear she will tell Belos.
"Can I tell you a secret?"
He quickly realized a few things about this girl. 1 she had a big mouth, not that was a bad thing but she liked to ramble. Secondly, she was very trusting/naïve. He thought he could possibly use this against her in the future. Lastly, she was very open about stuff, a little to open.
"Yeah."
"I have a few books about Wild and Savage Magic too. I keep it in a secret hiding place under my bed," you whispered to him, not really acknowledging the fact that he was cute.
He chuckled, "Don't tell Belos," he teased, making you turn red, not realizing he was teasing you.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
He knew who you were before you even introduced yourself to him. He had been watching you for a while. He thought you were cute and not mention powerful. When he found out you were into Wild Magic, thanks to his status, he knew you were the one. He had been trying to talk to you ever since you joined.
Though he was always busy. It almost felt like Belos knew about his nephew's crush, and did everything in his power to not let Hunter talk to Y/n. It just made it harder for him to sleep when he realized that he was losing precious time with Y/n. It did not help that she was nervous around him. For someone so powerful, he thought it weird for you to be so socially awkward, though he couldn't really be talking.
Besides he liked you the way you were, no matter what flaws you had. Though when you finally did talk to him, it was like his life lightened. You had a really charming voice, which he already knew. You had really great timing, because he was just done talking to his piece of shit uncle, Belos. You just had this thing about you that made him feel better whether you knew it or not.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
"Hunter?"
"Yeah."
"That's a cute name," you said, causing him to blush.
"So is Y/n."
You chuckled at the man who was trying to flatter you. You just thought he was being cute with his honey covered words and lovely face.
"It was great talking to you, Hunter. We should do it again," you told him turning to leave.
"Yeah, me too," he said waving goodbye to you, a little devastated that you were leaving, but he understood that you needed your sleep. Though he was sure you could of enjoyed it more if you were him, but he knew he couldn't say that now. He could wait.
