so i actually did a lot of research into the actual supergirl timeline and how things went down. then i did comic-book research for things like Lucy's canon birthday, etc. to keep things canon. so a lot of effort actually went into this... including math. making this current day instead of back when the show aired was harder than i thought it was going to be but whatever. so any out of place things are simple because i'm bad at math - i've already found one from rereading my own work and intend to go back and fix it. hope this clears some things up!

 PHASE ONE

Destruction of Krypton (1989)

Some point after Kal-El arrives on Earth (1989)

Kara’s pod crashed on earth 20yrs late (Dec 2009)

PHASE TWO

Alex and Lucy are secretly fooling around as teens (2009-2010)

CADMUS comes for Kara (2010)

Alex gets herself kidnapped by CADMUS (late-2010)

Maggie is sent to live with her aunt as a teen – she graduates and sticks around trying to help out her aunt who is sickly with rent (2009 – 2010)

PHASE THREE

Alex is experimented on by CADMUS for Four years (2010 – 2014)

Kara slowly distances herself from the Danvers (2010 – 2012)

Lucy starts getting into trouble + takes up smoking (2010-2012)

Maggie’s aunt dies and Maggie sells the house her aunt left her before moving to a different small town (mid -2011)

The Danvers begin their own independent search for Alex (2010-)

PHASE FOUR

Alex is dumped by CADMUS after none of their experiments are a success (early – 2014)

Jane Doe (Alex) is found and hospitalized having no memory of her former life. She is found tagged with the name ‘Alex’ (early – 2014)

Alex Doe is released from the hospital after being found competent enough to survive on her own (mid-2014)

Having graduated early from high-school Kara has moved to National City and works part-time at a coffee shop/bakery but at night is a rather violent vigilante (mid-2014)

Lucy becomes a detective and starts her own search for Alex (2014)

Alex stumbles into town and meets Maggie Sawyer (late-2014)

Maggie meets Alex (late – 2014)

PHASE FIVE

Lucy starts putting herself in danger to follow every lead on CADMUS she can – so Lois asks a friend to teach her little sister some self-defense skills (*cough* Kate Kane *cough*) and while she trains there she also learns how to shoot a gun and some various other skills that were just basic level before (late-2015 – early 2017)

Alex + Maggie start tentatively dating (early-2015 – mid-2015)

Alex begins having nightmares/flashbacks (early-2015)

Alex becomes an alcoholic (early-2015)

Alex + Maggie move in together (mid-2015)

Maggie convinces Alex to sober up and helps her on her journey (late-2015)

Alex proposes (mid-2016) they get married 2 days later at a courthouse.

Alex relapses (mid-2016) and they start going to couples’ therapy – where Maggie tells Alex of her dream of owning an LGBTQ+ bar/hangout in a small town to give people like her a place to go in a town like where she grew up.

They eventually save enough money to open ‘Sanctuary’ (mid-2018)

PHASE SIX

Alex nightmares get worse (early-2019 – 2020)

Lucy finds Alex (2020)
