"So, what's your money on then? On or off?"
She smiled as they buzzed for entry into the building. "She always says they're not…."
"Well we might find out once we start talking about this" he said, waving an innocuous beige folder towards her, "Or you could ask her straight out"
“You think we haven’t already…?” she replied, “Besides, what’s wrong Wardle, hasn’t he used or abused any of your wife’s crazy mates recently? Are you missing the sofa?”
"How dare you" he replied with mock severity, “April’s friends are just arty types. And thank fuck she’s stopped introducing them!”
