Bakugou was sitting in his chair waiting for class to start as usual. He never really understood why Aizawa always took forever to get to class. He made sure he did, why couldn’t the teacher himself try to do the same. It was beyond him, but he got used to it by this point. He was looking at the clock when he heard Midoriya and Uraraka coming into the classroom. He turned his head to see that the two of them were holding hands. 'Why would Deku and Pink Cheeks be holding hands?' He thought to himself as he overheard Uraraka saying that they were officially a couple. Those words were like needles to his heart which led to it being filled with anger, but there was also a hint of sadness to it as well.
Even though he has never admitted it, Bakugou always had a crush on the greenette hero. He developed these feelings when they were just childhood friends. At first, he thought those feelings were friendly, but then he realized that the feelings and thoughts that he was having for Midoriya were anything but. This scared him and caused him to push his friend away making him his victim instead. He has grown since then and treated him better, but the feelings stayed the same. Seeing Midoriya and Uraraka holding hands and announcing that they were dating was the worst thing that could have ever happened to him. He could feel the anger slowly leaving his heart and going to head making him feel the burning sensation on his face and head. He had to get out of there. There was no way he could stay in the classroom any moment longer. He quickly got up from his chair and stormed into the bathroom.
As he sped walking to the bathroom, he made sure that no one was looking at him by keeping his head down. The anger and anxiety were slowly taking over his whole body and he could feel himself shutting down. When he finally got there, he made sure no one else was in there and let out a scream that released all the emotions he was bottling inside. After everything he put him through, the thought of his old childhood friend had a love for him in return was silly. 'Why would Deku ever like me back? I was nothing but a monster to him.'
The blonde kept crying when he heard the bathroom door open which made him dry his tears and pretend like he was alright. He turned and saw Midoriya standing there with a worried expression on his face.
“Kacchan, are you ok?” Bakugou saw that he was trying to move closer to him, but he stopped him before he could take another step.
“Don’t come near me Deku. I am not in the mood right now for your shit.”
“Kacchan what’s wrong? We’ve known each other for years. I know that something is bothering you, so can you please tell me.” Bakugou rolled his eyes. 'Of course, the nerd would come and check on me. Midoriya, against the blonde’s wishes, moved closer and spoke with a more firm tone, “Kacchan, stop being such a brat and tell me what’s wrong.” This was the last straw. Bakugou went up to Midoriya’s face and let out his anger on him like he always did.
“Listen you, damn nerd, I said to leave me alone. Fucking hell, you never know when to quit, can’t you see that I don’t want to talk to you. I don’t even want to be near you. Just leave me the fuck alone for once in your pathetic life.” It hurt him to say this, but he just had to get rid of him. After a minute of Midoriya kissing away his tears, he finally had the ability to speak once again. “Why would you love me? After how I treated you, you didn’t deserve any of that. You deserve to be with someone who is nice and sweet like you. I’m not good for you Deku. I--.” He was interrupted by Midoriya’s lips against his own and all his thoughts went away once again. All the problems and negative thoughts that he ever felt just disappear with just that one kiss. He was truly happy, the first time in a long time, and he just wanted it to last forever. He did not want to let Midoriya go, not again. Against his own will, he pulled away from the kiss and asked the question that he has been wanting to ask since the moment he knew he loved the greenette. “Deku, will you be my boyfriend?”
Midoriya smiled and laughed, “What do you think?” With that, Bakugou smiled back and kissed him once again, getting lost in each other’s warmth. They were finally boyfriends after years of hiding their love from each other. The perfect ending to a new beginning.
