Work Text:
Shoko sat silently on the couch in the 2-A dorm's living room, enjoying the peace. A handful of the louder ones have caught some disease, so she take the moment to herself.
A pot of cold soba laid inbetween her thighs as she broadcasted a video from her phone to the television screen - just a compilation of videos where people prank Endeavor. Something to soften her up during the cold hours of a winter night, a thin but snug blanket laid over her in the dimly lit room, nothing but herself, her food and what could be a smile on her face.
When she was younger, she'd find this a ritual of depression, almost.
She let loose a soft hum.
"Things changed a lot with Midoriya around, huh…" he murmured to herself, a feeling on her face telling her that yes, she was indeed smiling.
Tucking the soba a bit closer to her chest, she ultimately decided to heat up her hand to warm the soba a small amount, and while she was doing that, the next video played.
"T-T-Todoroki-kun… Are you a thousand percent you're ready for this…?" The voice of the greenette played on the screen, hesitant and nervous.
"I can't think of a time I've been more ready, Izuku." Her on-screen voice spoke, brimming with excitement.
"I-I… I don't know, Shoko. It could be- it could be a bit too big for you. Usually you have much smaller, but I think mine could break you."
"I don't care if it does. What matters is that it's yours. With everyone watching, I can't back down now."
"..." the greenette sighed, and gave a short nod.
He placed a massive bowl of katsudon on the table, about a meter's circumference in size, rice, sauce and meat towering on it like an edible Mt. Kilimanjaro.
"30 minutes. Record of 11 belongs to Midoriya." Iida muttered aloud, the referee looking at the challenger carefully.
"Begin!"
She let off a slight grin as the video played, before feeling a familiar hand on her head, the palm beginning to scritch the midway point between her red and white hair.
"Why aren't you asleep, Todoroki-kun…? We've got to-" a loud, exhausted yawn coming from him before continuing "...We've got to see Rei tomorrow, remember…?"
She could feel the pink on her cheeks as she instinctively moved into the rubbing, a soft jitterish moan forcing its way out.
"Then… Why aren't you asleep, 'Zuku…?"
"Because looking after you is a full-time job."
She couldn't fight the warm singular chuckle as she moved her legs, offering the greenette a seat right next to her.
"Then maybe you shouldn't have asked me out?" She implied softly, a cocky grin coming as he moved to the front out the couch, and ultimately laid next to her.
"Then maybe… Don't make me fall in love with everything about you?"
She let out a scoff.
"What is there to love?"
It was then his turn to scoff as she tucked closer to him on the couch, her warm side definitely causing him to doze off even more so.
"You're… You're just amazing, Shoko… You have 'n amazing quirk, a beautiful body any guy and girl could 'n should fall heads over heels for… A cold but loving personality that I can't help but admire with everything I got… And eyes that make stars look like normal flashlights…"
She felt a loving kiss to her forehead, then nesting on her head for a moment.
"I love you, Izuku."
She said, trying her best to sound as loving as someone as cold as she is can get.
She heard a soft snoring from above her, and she nodded to herself softly.
Shutting her eyes, the two fall asleep on the couch, soft smiles on their faces.
Until Aizawa-sensai shouted at them for breaking the rule of "no sleeping on the couch" the following morning.
