From Lucerne with love

Summary:

"I love you Caesar," oh how much he wanted to hear those words from Joseph's mouth.

Those precious words...

Will he ever get to hear it?

Work Text:

"JoJo you'll like Lucerne. It's a great place, I've been here before." Caesar smiled at JoJo. "I'll show you around!"

"Great, thanks Caesar!" JoJo grinned happily.

"I'm just going to let the hotel know we're in town so we can get our luggage there later. I'll be right back, JoJo!" Caesar rushed towards the hotel, while JoJo leaned on the wall.

"Why, hello there." JoJo glanced up. A handsome, green-eyed, blonde haired muscular man, about five inches taller, smiled at him in a friendly way.

"Oh! Grüezi!" yelled JoJo, reciting the greeting he learned off Caesar. The man laughed. "How very cordial of you. I'm Johann, welcome to Lucerne!"

"Thank you Mister Johann." JoJo grinned. "I'm JoJo!"

"Alright JoJo, what an odd name. Here, I'll show you our local delicacies!" He brought JoJo forward by the shoulder.

"H-uh? Oh, alright."

"So what's with that nickname?"

"Oh well, my name is Joseph Joestar, and..."

The two men walked off down the street chatting, while Caesar spoke with the hotel staff.

When Caesar returned, he panicked a little at first.

"Did someone attack him...?" JoJo would wait for him, so what happened?

He walked around to one of the shops. "Excuse me, did you see any brawny, tall englishmen pass by?" The shopkeeper nodded.

"Yes, with another man I think. The man seemed to be taking him somewhere from memory... Aa.." The old man scratched his head.

Caesar frowned. Was that a kidnapping then?

Caesar quickly stormed out of the store, running down the streets. He walked from alley to alley quickly, frantically looking for JoJo. He saw him at last - outside a bread store, another beside him, but...

His hands balled into fists. JoJo was just standing there, quite content to have that man's arm around his shoulder, guiding him along. Caesar silently walked behind them as they proceeded, talking and laughing.

"So you forgot me..." Caesar muttured under his breath. That was fine... That was fine. I mean they were friends, so that was just fine.

Caesar continued to place one footprint after the other, pursuing them steadily, just enough to keep in speed. Who was this guy, acting so familiar, his body so close to JoJo's?

Through the chilly air, Caesar wiped away an angry tear.

They were looking in a window now, and the other man spotted him. Through the reflection, he saw the man smile, then suddenly whirl around JoJo, kissing him. Caesar nearly doubled over gaping, his heart feeling shattered into a thousand pieces.

The man was kissing JoJo publicly, possessively, arms around him, kissing his surprised lips passionately and hungrily, and JoJo wasn't even pulling away as fast as he should have been...

Caesar felt his spirits die as he walked away into the shadows of the street, his body trembling as a few tears fell down his cheeks uncontrollably. He didn't want to see anymore.

Caesar slammed his fist against the brick wall, his skin breaking slightly from the impact, blood running down his hands as he leaned his head against it, a few tears falling to the chilling snow.

"You dumbass... I hate you..." Caesar muttered, while knowing the opposite was true. He couldn't help but play the scene over and over in his mind, his heart crushed by the ice cold grip of envy as he grew in hating the man who stole JoJo's presence from him, who kissed him, who walked away with him...

Caesar tried to breathe in, just as the way of Hamon would function, yet he couldn't even manage to do that much, so much was his body shaking. He quivered in anger, punching the wall again in defeat.

To think JoJo just walked off with him... Did he like his type? Is that all he wanted, some tall, random stranger who walked off with him!?

Caesar fell to the floor, cover his crystal blue eyes with his hands, running his shaking fingers through his blonde hair.

"Oh my god! I can't stand guys like that!"

"JoJo?" Caesar looked left and right.
He could have sworn he heard JoJo's voice. That's what JoJo said when they first met. So stupid.

He wanted to think JoJo would hate a guy that was with him like that too. Or maybe, Caesar thought, it was just JoJo's way of telling him how much he despised him at first sight...

Is that all Caesar was to JoJo? A tool, a battle ally?

Caesar stood up from the snow, slowly walking back towards JoJo and his new 'friend'. He wasn't content with just letting them walk away from him... Not with his JoJo, whatever that thieving man thought he was doing...

Caesar's anger flared from the bottom of his broken heart, his fists clenched. He saw they'd left the street - gone off somewhere else.

Joseph stammered his excuses and left the very intense gentleman who he had met. After a wild and passionate kiss, the man had apologized, saying he was trying to get rid of a very persistent suitor, and only by convincing her of his unusual preference for men could he do so. Rather shaken, Joseph had accepted his excuse... after all, crazy girls were everywhere...

More importantly, he remembered he'd probably worried Caesar or kept him waiting. Kicking himself for his carelessness, JoJo bolted straight for the hotel. It did make him feel a little happy though, thinking that Caesar would be relieved to see him....

The moment JoJo came in, he felt a little offended.
There was Caesar, lounging at the bar, kissing a woman.

Caesar had seen JoJo's arrival, and quickly took the woman in for a deep kiss and embrace as he saw him approach. He'd see how HE liked to be snubbed for someone else, right in front of him. Of course he wasn't going to act bothered. That'd just be petty, and it'd show how little he cared how JoJo acted outside.

Because he *didn't* care. At all.

'That bastard,' Caesar thought to himself, as he kissed the quiet brunette he'd been chatting up, letting enough Hamon go into her body to get her to leave him with a sense of quiet demureness, to enhance the appearance of his smooth, lover-boy self as JoJo entered.

"Caesar! I uh... I'm back.. I..."

"What? Apologize for worrying me? As you can clearly see, you didn't." Caesar said, an air of contempt escaping him despite his attempts to hold back his sneer.

"I am... Sorry. Some strange guy.. I mean..." JoJo scratched his head. In truth, his feelings were hurt. He had an idea of some sort of deep friendship or camaraderie between them, something special, yet Caesar's words trod all over that idea...

"What? I don't care. Stop talking about nonsense, JoJo. You should be moving your stuff into your room when it arrives."

Caesar turned away, his cold rage concealed - or so he thought.

JoJo's hand gripped his shoulder.

"Hey, Caesar. What the hell are you acting like a stuck up kid for?"

"I'm not, you oaf!" Caesar snapped, brushing off his hand angrily. "You..."

"What! You've been off here, drinking and womanizing and for some reason you're mad at me. What, are you trying to get back at me, or something?" JoJo did honestly feel really mad that he'd been snubbed in spite of everything. He hated feeling like such a 'bad guy', but he did really WANT Caesar to be mad at him... mad for wanting him to not have stood him up.

If he was angry cause of that, that would make him feel better...

Caesar just felt himself close to breaking. Did JoJo just not care? Not see? Not understand?
"You're always thinking of yourself, you overgrown brat," Caesar scowled, shoving JoJo away.

"You might think it's great growing up as a rich kid, but everything I am I had to build. Everything we do is always, *you* doing what you want, and me? I'm left going with YOUR plan. And that's what happened, again!"

That was entirely true. And yet Caesar was most hurt, that JoJo didn't seem to hate that he was kissing a girl. Come on, his aching heart begged. Be jealous.

"Caesar, don't be an ass!"

"I'm not an ass, ass! Just!" Caesar felt like his heart was bleeding.
"Just get away from me for a while, okay? Piss off!"

JoJo felt himself growing oddly weak, like his own body was shaky. Did Caesar... just hate being around him?

But with those words, Caesar stormed off, out of the hotel.

JoJo slumped onto a stool.

"Caesar... I... I'm sorry..." He rubbed his forehead, speaking to the empty air.

"I was just angry that you... you didn't care..."

Caesar shifted in the shadows, enviously watching Joseph with his new 'friend'. He felt the tinge of pain in his heart as he walked close by. The two had met up seemingly randomly... Joseph just went out to eat, refusing to talk to Caesar that morning.

Caesar grit his teeth. It hurt to see Joseph refuse to acknowledge him... right at the start of his day. He walked out the door without a second angry look, even... And now he met up with HIM, of all people. He kicked the snow as he skulked behind them, well out of eyesight.

Joseph was still confused when he saw the weird man that kissed him the day before. He was really warm and kind, and was really entertaining - He told all kinds of jokes that Joseph found funny. Joseph felt this odd feeling inside him when he was with him, and he didn't know why.

It was like a sort of power over him, a sort of superiority. Like a master that walked its dog, in a way.

They walked through the streets, and JoJo knew Caesar was following him. But more than anything, he didn't want to care. Caesar was petty and hurt him. Why should he have to forgive him?

"Hey, JoJo. Come here, I want to show you something."

Joseph glanced at his friend. "What is it?"

The two walked down a narrow street, where various saints had been carved into the brickwork by talented yet bored artists. He felt a little dizzy, having not had anything to drink... And the words his new friend were saying werent' really audible, but he could hear him smiling and laughing, and he felt like he should too.

It felt like this last time... This warm, kind friend. What was his name again?

"JoJo, you're such a good man."

Joseph blushed and wasn't quite sure where he was.

He felt a strong hand touch his chin, and kiss him. He felt warm lips envelop his, kissing strongly, forcefully, asserting their power over his as he moaned, sliding down the brick wall behind him, a warm body straddling him as he kissed him fervently...

The figure quickly pulled back suddenly, and JoJo saw him pull away. He gasped, trying to ask him to wait, as he ran around the corner - but his words caught in his throat. His body ached needfully for him. He wanted it, but...

"JoJo, why are you with that man!?"

Caesar was staring at him indignantly.

Joseph blushed angrily, trying to hide the arousal between his legs.

"Caesar, what the hell are you following me for? That's creepy, eugh."

"JoJo..." Caesar weakly punched JoJo's chest, looking up at him. His cheeks were flushed, and his eyes were brimming with tears. "Don't you care for me at all? My feelings? Aren't I precious to you at all? Don't you..."

JoJo's throat felt dry, and Caesar gripping his shoulder weakly seemed like it was a grasp from a titan.

"Don't you..."

"Caesar." JoJo grabbed Caesar's wrist, and Caesar decided to stop moving.

"Yeah, you were. Then you treated me like garbage - no, worse than garbage! Like someone you'd never even met you wanted to spite."

Caesar bit his lip.

"I just wanted you to love me."

Bitter, twisted snowflakes began to descend past the two men, standing still in the street. JoJo released Caesar's wrists.

"I did."

JoJo walked away, gritting his teeth as he went after the man he felt his body lusting just moments before, confused and vulnerable. Caesar collapsed on the ground, feeling shattered and weak.

He lost JoJo.. to some guy. He didn't do anything wrong...
Why... how...?

He laid there, feeling like he would be buried, dead in the snow.
Yet he felt a warm touch on his cheek, and someone lifted him up, carrying him across the night streets, towards the hotel... had he slept that long?
Hamon had kept him alive, surely.

"Caesar, breathe." He relaxed. Lisa Lisa's voice reminded him of something the future could never steal him from, and with his breathing in his body, he felt himself lulled to sleep.

Joseph found himself lounging in the man's apartment, confused as to why he was there.
"Hey... like... I don't really remember what happened but..."

"Relax, JoJo. You're safe here." The man smiled, leaning against the cushions of his lounge, quietly blowing smoke from a pipe as he laid there, shirtless, his muscular chest exposed as he smiled lazily at JoJo. His long, golden-brown hair flowed down his shoulders... Incense was in the air, JoJo could smell it.

And it was almost like it was harder to breathe the way he'd been trained, there.

JoJo blushed. "Uhm... sorry, Yo-... Sh-... uh... your name was..."
He felt just as embarrassed by forgetting his name as he was by how close he was, but he didn't realize he was only wearing underwear.

"You're too cute when you're shy, JoJo."
A masculine finger brushed his cheek. His vision felt hazy.

"I... ah..." He was upset, upset about Caesar. He had been broken, he'd broken his heart, he-
A finger invade his lips, and he gasped as the muscular, firm thing entered his mouth. He felt his wet lips close about it, before the man withdrew it, slippery from his saliva.

"JoJo..."

He felt the man's hands caress his body, feeling up and down his torso, his back, his skin... cold hands against his hot body, he could do nothing but breathe in the musky, sweet incense in the air as hands groped up his leg, reaching between them, stroking, teasing...

JoJo gasped as he felt the lips touch his neck..
The man grinned. He had JoJo right where he needed him.
His cold tongue licked at the hot skin of JoJo's chest, down to his nipple, then further down his firmly formed abs, his taut stomach vulnerably as he squirmed beneath him, moaning gently.

"Focus on me, and forget..." He murmured, JoJo's thick, erect cock being mercilessly yet softly pulled, rubbed, fondled, all the while being the toy of the man using him, sexually teasing his body to further heights of pleasure, and he felt JoJo breathing as he kissed him deeply, passionately, sharing the same air between them.

"And..."

"And the next thing you're going to say is," JoJo said with a little grin, "Forget all about Caesar, right?"

"Forget all about Caes- what?"

"Hey, that isn't a name you should know, right?"

The man pulled back suddenly, - no way!

The Joestar boy's body was reacting to him so perfectly - he could see his pleasure, his blushing cheeks, his body growing more numb from the incense he filled the room with, so why?

JoJo grinned, hitching his briefs back up to cover his still rather bulging erection, but as he did so the man realized his leg suddenly had something tighten around it.

"You know, I'm not the kinda girl you just string along on the first date, right?"

The man looked left and right quickly. "This is, uh, JoJo, relax, I'm your-!"

And JoJo immediately swept him off his feet to the ground, and he sat on his stomach, making the man gasp out air.

"Truth be told, my briefs are always falling apart. It's hard to keep my package in there!" He laughed. "So I tied the loose string around your thigh while you were getting all kissy on my neck. Sorry, Mister-Casanova, but there's no Red Stone in my belongings here!"

Caesar quickly burst into the room - to see the nearly totally naked, bulging-underwear JoJo sitting ontop of the tied up, shirtless long-haired thief.

"JoJo!" Caesar gasped. He had no idea JoJo was so kinky- no, wait, forget that!!

"JoJo! Are you alright... that man, he's a thief from-!"

"It's fine, Caesar. I've got him under 'ropes'." JoJo grinned and kicked the man, who glared sulkily.

"Oh yeah. That incense thing - the truth is, I actually can breathe very slowly from my Hamon training. So everytime you kissed me, I breathed in the air from your lungs - which was, as I expected, pure from the incense. I guess you actually made me inhale it while I was sleeping, and hoped I would just breathe in the residue, right?"

Caesar blushed, then balled his fists. Kissing him... again?

Caesar gave a growl. "Fine, it looked like you didn't need my help anyway." He had enough of fucking JoJo. All he did was love anyone else.. just not him. He was just a spectator. An extra.
He slammed the door and ran out - but before he did, a hand grabbed him.

"Caesar... You're my friend, right? I forgive you."

Caesar gasped, his heart beating.
He smiled sadly then, and felt a tear fall down his cheek.

No way would he ever turn around to look at JoJo.
He didn't even want to grace his face with a description.

"Of course, JoJo. I worried about you."

"I'm glad you did too... Caesar-chan, it's freezing out here! I'll go pinch his jacket."

The door closed. Caesar laughed bitterly.

"Cruel, huh. I love you so much, JoJo, that I can't be away from you."
He bit his lip, blood trickling down his chin.
"I can't turn down a deal that good. Even if I can never feel what I wanted to..."

He looked at his tears fallen on his hand, reflecting the snowy sky.

He wanted to hold JoJo, to make him feel so good... to have JoJo lovingly smile at him, maybe kiss him when he wasn't looking...

All of that... could never be.

Caesar shook his head.

"You idiot... You idiot..."
He realized he was talking to himself, now.

You idiot, losing your chance of ever being JoJo's equal... to have his love, the way he had Caesar's...

He looked back inside.
Was it all a deception...? Maybe JoJo just would love him, now that this man was shown to be evil?

Caesar laughed again, empty of happiness.

No, that was just a lie that felt good.
JoJo would never say those words he wanted to hear.

'I love you, Caesar'.

Those precious words.

Instead, all he had said was...

"I did."
