Somewhere within the Tower
Rachel has been sleeping next to Yura Ha, as her subconscious mind keeps replying everything from her life so far
"We're no longer friends. From this point onwards... we're enemies." The ungrateful whelp who she helped to raise and turn into an approximation of a human being dares to cockily reject her
"You're not going anywhere. It's time for you to die, weakling." A blue haired aristocrat, always snide and turning his face down on her, threatening her, trying to murder her, obsessed with crafting schemes to undermine her
"I'm giving you three wishes... vermin" Bespectacled, tall, grand, the Family Leader chooses to demean and mock her at every turn
"The Tower didn't choose you. You... are unfit. But, there is a way... for you to still be the heroine of this story" An overgrown bunny rabbit wielding a staff treating her like trash just for trying to live a dream, tying her down with chains of destiny she has found it difficult to break from
"Always remember Rachel. The Tower never should have been created.... it's a prison for souls" Arlene guiding her, giving her teachings
She wakes with a startled gasp, as she scans around herself before beginning to calm and breathe again
It's nothing. Just dreams.
Turning her face up to the ceiling with a painting of a nightsky on it
I have to.... I must... I will reach it! I promise you, Arlene.
But... I'm just, I'm confused. I haven't heard your voice or guidance in so long. It's been so long, Arlene.
The monster is gathering companions... and they truly believe it is a noble hero to save them all.
I know better. I raised the monster to honor you but... I'm sorry Arlene. I couldn't take it anymore. I gave the thing a human face and taught it how to pretend to be a boy. But we both know what it truly is....
Khun... you're going to wish that I had killed you. Your coming fate is far, far worse than any I can devise... to have who you believe is your best friend slowly become so powerful their mind itself will fade... and then... everything will be consumed. Friends, foes, it won't matter. Your fates are sealed anyway now.
She is crying. Arlene... please... I don't hear you anymore.
I need help. I don't know what you want of me now....
Rachel cannot hear Arlene's voice. It is only the beating of her heart in the otherwise solitary residence.
Turning to glance at Yura in the bed next to her, as she moves her face closer, allowing Yura's peaceful sleeping breaths to warm her, shiny blue sparkles hovering around
Rachel staring at her "Hello angel." kissing Yura, waking her up
Yura's eyes groggy but she smiles kissing Rachel back
After a bit, Rachel sitting up again "... how would you feel if the Tower went away?"
Yura just laying looking up towards the starry ceiling "....happy."
Rachel's eyes light up in joy. I knew it. We're soulmates.
She smiles and wipes away a tear, moving her body closer to kiss more and make out with her sparkle haired rock star lover....
"Then let's fall into the void"
What once was, shall be again. This Tower will be returned to the nothingness.
And only the night, the stars... will encompass all. Forevermore.
