Bio

I believe that life is every-bit as fun as you allow it to be, that really good horror and B-movie horror are equally entertaining, that all of us secretly wish we were Batman - or at least Tony Stark, that lying about your cards in Go Fish is a legitimate tactic (unless you're playing with toddlers), and that no sane person maintains a constant social calendar.

I met some wonderful people, some lazy people, and some crazy people, but all-in-all I've had a great time! I have devoted my last few months to re-discovering my love of going-to-the-movies, going to a coffee house to sit alone and smoke, and wishing with all my heart that I had the attention span to be a better friend.

I love the spookier side of things, but I was raised southern-superstitious, so I don't dip my toe in the mystical waters. I'm curious - I'm always curious - but the trouble is: a public library's occult section is full of documentarian literature and nut-jobs with publishing deals. Who can sort fact from fiction? And as fiction is more appealing (read: less actually scary) I'll stick with getting my supernatural fixes from the show with the same name and Lovecraft + those of his genre.

Beyond name, profession, nearly-useless credentials and Clue preference, I am at heart a Sherlockian & Who fan with a taste for fine cigars, hot coffee or tea, and ciphers. My bookshelf carries mysteries and thrillers along side horror and gaslight with science fiction, fantasy, and speculative fiction squeezed in where I can find room; there are few genres I don't enjoy in both books and films.

In a prizefight for the Mad Scientist Title, I think the brackets would come down to Dr.Horrible vs Dr. Frankenstein — Horrible wins by default. Active villainy trumps god-complex every time.

Either I'm intentionally throwing in non-sequiturs or I have absolutely no idea how to segue from one thought to the next. You decide.
