I frequently/preemptively block on Twitter/Bluesky. This helps ensure I don't engage with potential aggravators or personal triggers. Additionally, blocking is the easiest way to respect the 'DNI' requests of any creators I encounter.
'FUB Free' (follow, unfollow, block) is a great method to observe.
