The idea for this fic was originally a massive inside joke surrounding the concept of “what if Slenderman got scouted as a model and actually went along with it?” And it blossomed into this mess of words before you.

This is a story about serial killers. More importantly, serial killers who have all made their own sort of family in a mansion in the woods, run by a mysterious eldritch entity, who sends them on missions for reasons never disclosed. Even more importantly, this story is about their disappearances and what happens when pointing fingers takes precedence over saving your comrades, your siblings in arms, your friends, your enemies, and people whom you never got a chance to know. Bound by insanity and shared love for carnage, everyone has their own suspicions to cast when the sun goes down, the air gets colder, and the house gets quieter and quieter. In the end, beyond the who and the how, there is only really one question:
Will these cold-blooded killers be able to save the closest thing to family they’ve ever known, or will they finally understand loss more intimately than anyone else, as both the culprit, the victim, and the one who remains when they’re gone?
The only way to find out is to get in the thick of it and maybe—just maybe—get your hands a little dirty.
