He was on a date with Uenoyama when it happened for the first time. They were walking along the beach, Uenoyama walking by his left side, when Mafuyu felt it — a familiar presence by his right side.
He gasped when he suddenly felt a hand sliding in his own. A warmth that he thought was lost forever suddenly filled his whole body.
"What's wrong?" Uenoyama asked, turning his head to his side to check on him.
Mafuyu stopped breathing for a second, afraid of what Uenoyama could see. Maybe he was just being too much in his own head due to the beach they're currently on and there was a complete stranger who was currently holding his hand — even though every single cell of his body recognized the hand as Yuki's.

Part of my Winter Isn't So Scary series! This one can largely be read as a one shot, but I think the character development is really poignant when you read the whole thing, and there are references to previous works throughout.

The boys are perpetually sleepy per usual, but Ritsuka more so this time. Mafuyu thinks he can somehow cure his sudden onslaught of insomnia by changing their sleepover spot to his place. He also cures their raging hormones, if only temporarily.
