Summary
He isn’t Fushiguro Megumi in the Zen’in clan. He’s nothing but a carelessly polished pawn and a near-worthless bargaining chip that few in the clan cared for, so he stares them full in the face and raises his fist to chest level, then positions his forearm so it is perpendicular to the floor.
Naobito reaches for him, bony fingers grasping at his wrist — until the shadows writhe around Megumi and a figure rises to seize Naobito’s wrist in an iron-hard grip.
In the deafening silence that follows the figure’s appearance, Megumi opens his mouth and intones, “Sorcerer Killer.”

Yuuji doesn’t say anything for the next few metres and Megumi doesn’t either, seemingly content to let the silence sit between them as they finally enter Kunigawa. What had once been modest eateries and other family-run establishments lining the streets are nothing more than splattered husks, walls and windows alike sagging beneath the reddish-black blobs weighing down on them, but it’s as Yuuji opens his mouth that Megumi mutters in a low, emotionally charged voice, “You think I don’t know how fucked up this all is? If any of us had known earlier, we would’ve moved to some other godforsaken town.”
