Res's Taylor Swift Inspired Fics
Fics based or inspired by Ms. Swift's discography. All fics can be read without hearing the song and most don't have overt references to the songs. However, understanding of the song could add a layer of enjoyment to the fic (I hope anyway lol).

Summary
Catra's eyes glitter as they regard her. "Cool shit." She murmurs approvingly. Her hand trails up to the fleshiest part, touching it gently. "That's your love line."
Adora's mouth is dry and she's really worried her palms are sweating. "Love line?"
Catra nods her head. "Mhm. It's supposed to predict your romances and other significant relationships." She says it like she's reciting it out of a book, her hand trailing up and down the line. "This one is also deep. Long though. Means you're going to have tons of lovers."
Adora feels her cheeks heat up. "Catra!" She moves to snatch her hand back but Catra holds on tighter.
"I'm kidding! Relax." She says with a laugh. "It means you're going to meet your one true love and settle down for ages with them." She rolls her eyes. "Nice and boring."
"That doesn't sound so bad." She blurts out before she can think it through.
Catra's gaze turns interested. "Yeah?"
Adora nods faintly but she doesn't know what to do. Romance isn't something they talk about. "I mean, with the right person." She whispers faintly.

Summary
"Relax baby, I'll never let anything happen to you." She smirks, confident in her ability to make the world do as she wishes. And right now, her world is Adora. "We have more money than we could ever want and a clean getaway plan. Tomorrow we will be sipping cocktails on the deck of our boat. Now we just need to enjoy tonight."
It’s not that simple, they still have to find a way to fence their biggest prize, the Heart of Etheria, and actually make it to the damn boat. But all of that can wait.
Catra leans down placing open mouth kisses down Adora’s neck, gripping both sides of her button-down tightly. She runs one hand lightly over Adora's bound chest, a barely there touch that doesn't remind Adora of what's underneath.
"I'm always going to take care of you. And right now, I'm going to make you feel good." She leans back and lets Catra have her way with her, eyes fluttering shut as she savors every touch, both rough and soft.
The next morning, she wakes up alone—no loot, no wallet, and no Catra.

Summary
“This is Adora, my best friend. Adora, this is Catra. She does restaurant reviews for the Bright Moon Chronicles.”
“Adora.” The name slips easily out from her lips. The woman looks absolutely gorgeous, tall and muscular in a red dress that clings to her. Her eyes are sky blue, and her blonde hair is pinned back into a braid. A hair shifts out of the hairstyle when she reaches her hand out to Catra.
“Nice to meet you.” Her voice is less deep than Catra expects, but no less captivating. Her hands are big and stupidly strong feeling under Catra’s palm. She kind of forgets to let go until Adora pulls back.
“Well, we have reservations to keep.”
“Have a nice meal. Lovely to see you.” She looks up at the tall blonde. “And to meet you.”
She feels like she’s swallowed by Adora’s gaze, her eyes roving over Catra. “Same.”
They part ways and Catra puts the chance encounter out of her mind as she gets the car. She thinks about looking back to see if the red looks just as good from behind as it did from the front, but she’s never been good at only looking at things she shouldn’t have.

Summary
"We won the game." She points out unnecessarily, beaming at Catra with unmistakable adrenaline still rushing through her.
"Yeah, I saw." Catra smirks as she eyes the blond up and down. Adora looks beautiful, her hair down for once, golden tresses that fall longer than Catra expects.
"You came to the game too?" Adora looks happy about it, a small smile playing on her lips. "I was hoping you would."
"Adora, the whole town came to the game."
She leans in close, almost whispering in Catra’s ear, a sharp contrast to their loud surrounding. "Well, the whole town's not you." She can feel her body react to how close Adora feels. It's like they're back in her hallway after they went out for dinner last semester, her mind begging for Adora to make a move.

Summary
Catra likes her.
The thought is like a punch to her gut it leaves her winded. It scrambles her thoughts and leaves her palms sweating. It must be because Catra is her best friend, the person in the world who most understands her. Because she's not you know—
"I'm not gay." She blurts out. Catra shrinks further pulling her hand away and averting her eyes. Adora reaches out and puts a tentative hand on her shoulder. "I—Catra." She fumbles. "You're the most important person in the world to me." She pleads, hoping that it's enough.
...
"We'll always be friends ‘Dor." She whispers furiously. Catra dries her eyes and sends her a lukewarm smile. "It's just a crush, I'll get over it."There’s a growing pit in Adora’s stomach at the thought. She doesn't know why, she should want Catra to get over her, but it feels like she’s losing her right now. She ignores it.
"Yeah, you'll get over it. And we’ll be friends like we always have been." Somehow it doesn't ring true for Adora, but she wishes it so. It’ll be enough. It has to be.
